I totally agree with Becca, if there any new mums out there, please try to follow this and never feed baby to sleep. I did that mistake and I was totally sleep deprived. Thanks for info, I wish I knew this earlier.
Because of your videos our precious 3 and a half months old is going to sleep alone and only wakes up 2 times a night for a feed...sleeps from 7:30 ISH to 6:30 in the morning 🌅
Thanks a lot Becca, I do agree and I hope that dark room works for my baby's naps if practice daily as till today sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't
Hey there! Yes! The sound machine is an amazing tool for a restful night's sleep! We recommend testing out the level of the sound machine (lots of free apps for this!) to make sure that it is not higher than 50 decibels from where your little one lays their head! Hope this helps! 💛 Becca
Should bedtime be at the same time everyday? Or should it be based on nap length and awake windows. My 7 month old takes good naps now but they vary in length. So some days he takes long ones,..should I make his bedtime later or keep it consistent?
This is so helpful. Im going to try this routine starting tomorrow night. My 15 month old is still not sleeping through the night and depends heavily on a bottle of milk to fall asleep. (Bad habit we created and have been trying to break) I definitely see some mistakes in our bedtime routine. Thank You for the tips.
Hey there! If your little one is not able to fall asleep on their own, I would recommend my Baby E-Coaching. In this 2 week program your little one will learn how to fall asleep independently for nights and naps! littlezsleep.com/baby
Thanks for sharing this Becca! I’m gonna try it today! Would be lovely to have tips for nap time too. My 11 month old is driving me nuts and I don’t know from where to start! Fingers crossed that this works!
Thanks a lot for this great information.. I realized my mistake in bedtime routine, I fed solid right after bath and expect my baby to fall sleep well throughout the night... Now ,I'd like to know at what time should i give solid dinner to him, if I do the bedtime routine at 6.30 pm? Can I feed him at 5 pm, and bath at 6.30 pm , Because I want to stick to bedtime routine at 6.30 pm... In this case, solid food at 5 pm, and bedtime bottle at around 6.45 pm, isn't too close, these 2 feedings?
Would this advice apply to an 11 month old? Eve since my kiddo’s first tooth came in, we haven’t had any look getting her to sleep in her crib once she wakes up during (usually around 2 am). We can get her back to sleep, but as soon as she’s in the crib, she’s awake and crying (even after multiple tries).
I have a 8 month old baby I have been trying since she was 6months old to get her to sleep through the night and no matter what routine I use nothing works for her. She hasn’t fallen to sleep eating a while so that’s not an issue but she’ll wake up in the middle of the night mad because she’s hungry and when I do nurse her within a couple minutes she’s sleeping again but sometimes she’s back up within an hour.

I have a mother in law suite and my mom takes him for bed like every other night essentially and we switch off. He sleeps better for her then me usually tho. How do I have a consistent routine when we switch off.?
Your videos are amazing id love to see a video on how to do this with a 20month old and 3 month old ! Bedtime is always a struggle and a dread through out the day ! x
Hey!!! Thank you so much for being here! We have a recent podcast all about newborn and toddler routines here: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/little-zs-sleep-podcast/id1350931749?i=1000547806448
How early should I try to put my baby on a routine? My baby is a month old and hes very attached and struggles to sleep at night when hes not in my arms. What things can I try to help with this?
If my baby is getting up from a nap, should I feed my baby before bath time? We are following the feed, play, nap schedule. Confused on how bath time fits in for bedtime.
An issue I have is what to do when there are siblings? For example, I have a 3 year old daughter and a 4 month baby. I am having a hard time figuring out what to do with 3 year old daughter when I focus on 4 month baby. I often leave her alone watching TV and hope baby will go to sleep quickly so I can get back to her, but for the past couple of weeks baby has needed a lot more attention at nap and bed time so I feel really bad for my daughter. When father is home I can focus on baby, but when he is not home I feel rushed to get my daughter to bed early to focus on baby or vice versa.
Hey Lauren! Congrats on your new little one! I would recommend a sleep training plan, that way you have an end in sight and you know that baby will learn to fall asleep independently. My baby course is a 2 week plan that will teach your little one to fall asleep for nights and naps on their own! littlezsleep.com/baby
Please help. Do you have tips for getting a toddler and a baby ready for bed at the same time? My husband is at work and unable to help me with our night time routine and it’s been very stressful trying to bathe and put a ten month old and a two year old at a decent time when I’m out numbered. Any help will be greatly appreciated. ❤️
I wouldn't try to do both at the same time. Do whoever sleeps more soundly first. If you're struggling you're not necessarily doing anything wrong, you just have two little ones close in age. They don't need a bath every day. Nothing wrong with a sponge bath.
Previously trained baby was having a hard time sleeping all night and waking up a lot. I tried this last night and she slept from 8pm to 6am. Now question: how to fix her 6am waking? Or should I just keep waiting and see what happens now that we fixed her first problem,
That is great that she had a good night :) If you are looking to tackle the 6 am wake up, I recommend my Early Morning Wakes Course! littlezsleep.com/early-morning-wakes
So I tried this for two nights. Tonight is night 2 and it worked… basically from the first try? Or is this a coincidence? We’ve never had an easy time getting baby ready for bed but she seems to be primed for going down during story time or so. I’m trying not to get too giddy but she is in her cot sleeping right now and I basically can’t believe it.
Hey Ari! I am so glad you are seeing success with this! Kids are not robots, so there may be some rough nights, but consistency is key for bedtime routine an cuing baby for sleep :)
I’m a new mom my daughter is 4 weeks old,she sleeps during the day and stays up during the night I’m real struggling on how to change her routine and how to get her sleep at night because she stays awake from 11 pm until 6 am and she became so exhausted to stay awake even for 10 minutes during the day..pls help
I’m a bit late but you need to teach her the difference between night and day so in the day time don’t put her in the cot put her in the pram to sleep and always dress her no baby grows in the day time then at night bath and into bed in the cot
Hey Joey! In the section where I'm talking about the books at bedtime routine I mentioned that I've been in homes where the Dad IS clueless because he has never been a part of the routine before and doesn't understand tired cues, so we educate the family on baby's cues. I love getting both partners in the bedtime routine together when they get started on Sleep Training. It's always amazed me how so many Dads are NOT involved in the routines, but the times they are already so invested--- it's an amazing experience! I'm thankful my own husband and business partner is so invested in our girls routines. I know not everyone is like that.

That is awesome! It sounds like you have a great foundation for sleep already :)
I love your energy and how simplified you make things… 😊❤
Thank you, Anne! 💛 Getting sleep help should be easy, and we hope that our resources are always easily accessible and straightforward!
Would love a nap time routine!
Yes, that's a great next steps video idea!!!
Love this!!! Currently fighting with my 5 month old during bath time! This is so helpful! I’m going to do this!
I'm so glad this was helpful!!!
So did it work when you tried it? Any feedback?
Thanks a lot Becca, I do agree and I hope that dark room works for my baby's naps if practice daily as till today sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't
Are you supposed to leave the sound machine on through the night?

Wow very helpful
So glad to hear this!
Going to try tonight 🤞🏻
Awesome!! Keep us posted on your progress!

Amazing advices. Don’t understand only what to do after putting baby in the crib. Should I stay beside?

I hope you guys have been enjoying this routine with your little one!!!
At that age they are pretty much too old for naps anyway
So did it work when you tried it? Any feedback?
It’s getting so hard for me to fix a bedtime routine for my 4months old baby😔 trying to do my best!
This is a great age to start a routine and tweak it though! You're doing great!!
How did it work out? My son is goin through his 4 month regression now.
Thanks a lot for this great information..

I have a 3 week old is there anything I can do to help her sleep better though the night obviously with feedings
I have a mother in law suite and my mom takes him for bed like every other night essentially and we switch off. He sleeps better for her then me usually tho. How do I have a consistent routine when we switch off.?
And.. my baby hates baths
Great question! I would formally sleep train! That way the expectations are the same across both caregivers. littlezsleep.com/baby
If melatonin is triggered by the sun going down, why do I hear to put baby to bed at 7? The sun is up til 8:30

Because our baby spits up easily, we usually feed first, hold her off, take a bath, read a book, then put her to sleep. Is that ok?
Yes totally fine!!! For reflux babes I would suggest just that! 💛
How early should I try to put my baby on a routine? My baby is a month old and hes very attached and struggles to sleep at night when hes not in my arms. What things can I try to help with this?
Hi Belle!! Congratulations on baby!! Yes you can implement this bedtime routine for a newborn!
If my baby is getting up from a nap, should I feed my baby before bath time? We are following the feed, play, nap schedule. Confused on how bath time fits in for bedtime.
Hey Dave! Many families offer a small "snack" feed after the last nap of the day, then baby will be hungry enough to take a full feed at bedtime!
An issue I have is what to do when there are siblings? For example, I have a 3 year old daughter and a 4 month baby. I am having a hard time figuring out what to do with 3 year old daughter when I focus on 4 month baby. Becca, can i use this routine on a 2.5 yo?
This routine is appropriate for 0-12mo! Toddler coming soon!!

What age does this start at?
4 months old!
What do you do when baby just plays in crib for what seams like forever and doesn’t show any signs of falling asleep independently?
So I tried this for two nights. Tonight is night 2 and it worked… basically from the first try? Or is this a coincidence? We’ve never had an easy time getting baby ready for bed but she seems to be primed for going down during story time or so. One more thing I'd like to clarify, during daytime naps, we don't need to make the room dark?
Hey there! You will want to have the room 100% dark for naps as well!
@@littlezsleep thanks a lot.. I do agree and i hope it works for my baby if practice daily..as till now sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't

For a toddler, bath or dinner first?
Toddlers can have dinner and move straight to bath...so messy, ha!
At 6 to 9 months and they shouldn’t be getting any milk feeds at all
“Poor dad is clueless” ...and sexism rears its ugly head again. To think I was actually going to buy your program...
