      Hello Raj.. Thanks for the info. One quick question that is not mentioned. In page 2 of TD1 Fed form, in the additional Tax to be deducted section, if we mention $ 500 towards additional tax to be deducted in the form, will the employer deduct $500 per pay check or $500 one time deduction or $500 to be divided in 26 pay checks if employee gets paid bi-weekly. Thanks in advance for answering this question..

    Thank you for this, it's very helpful. I had a couple questions:
    1. For the tuition amount: Does edX under UBC count as a recognized institution for this amount?
    2. How do I fill out TD1BC-24E with this?

    • @invest4k
      @invest4k  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, I am glad its helpful.
      1. No, it doesn't, only charges by UBC directly will be counted, online courses doesn't count unless UBC is charging the amount and not edX
      2. Follow the other TD1ON video, all provinces have same details just the numbers change, read your document and fill accordingly.
      I hope it helps, please like the video :)

    great video really, I had issues last year when I had 3 separate jobs full time and I claim in section one 15k for all of them and in the ende when did tax I have to pay to state like 400$ .... my guestion is
    Im changing job soon which I started in December 2023 and now with TD form I will just add zero on line 1 and 13, but do I need to check box for the more then one employer??? Thanks in advance

    • @invest4k
      @invest4k  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, yes, most likely your form from last year was continued by your employer and they might have already given you 15k credit, its better to check the box for this year and wait for filing taxes to get refunds instead of getting into a situation where you have to pay taxes, better not to claim for 2nd employer this year. I hope it helps!

  • @amysmall9066
    @amysmall9066 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Hi Raj. I have a question for you. When you quit your old job mid-year and start a new one do you still complete a TD1 form as if you never did one in your previous job? This is not 2 jobs running concurrently...just leaving one job to start another.

    • @invest4k
      @invest4k  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      In that case, most likely your previous employer has used your basic income credits in the first half of the year, better to not fill the form or select that option, otherwise you might end up paying some tax at the end of the year.

    Regarding "total income less than claim amount" checkbox.

    I got a job recently and my joining date is 10th june.
    Offically I'm out of work since last 6 months.
    Should I check the "total income less than claim amount" checkbox ?

    How do I know if I class as a resident, I will be on my IEC visa, I am only planning to stay for likely 6 months but a year max, from your video I got the impression I’m classed as a resident but I have read articles that suggest on a working holiday visa you are a non resident in this vid I got the impression I’d be classed as a resident

    • @invest4k
      @invest4k  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you are planning to stay for more than 6 months and you are on holiday work visa sort of situation, it is tied to being able to return back to home country and so you are non resident with such visa. Its easier to declare residency with study permit or multi year work permit, your case is conditional so better not to declare canada as residency

Now I got a new job beginning April 2024 should I just use the 15705 in box one or am I considered with two employees despite being let go from the first job?
    Please note that I did not fill the T1 form before but also I am not sure if the previous employer did that on my behalf.

      @@invest4k I was told, just recently, by Hand R blcok that you have to have a certain amount of income in order to make the transfer equitable. They said at least 20,000/ annum in order for it to work or else there is no point.

    • @invest4k
      @invest4k  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, they are right because that tution fees can be claimed only for taxes and not as refunds. Which means the basic credit is already 15000 for 2024, if you make less than that, you don’t pay any taxes anyways, if you paid any taxes the credits helps you to get that taxes back, with 20000 you will get taxes back for that 5k which will be using credits and giving you tax refunds. I hope it helps.

    Sir, I came in canada as international student in May 2022 and I completed my studies in August 2023 ,,
    I worked as cashier from august 2022 to January 2024.
    But i never filled this form before ,, so now I'm filing this form first time for my another Job.
    So, I have to mention my tuition fee in 5th Line ( from 2022 to 2023) ?
    Or i have to mention just fee which i paid in 2023 for 2024 tax filing??

    • @invest4k
      @invest4k  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, if you never claimed your tuition fees during filing taxes before , you can claim entire fees. If you are confused, don’t claim in Td1 rather claim when you file taxes

    Can i claim my mother as a dependant if they have OAP?

    • @invest4k
      @invest4k  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, you can only claim a parent 's(65 or old) credit if they are infirm through TD1. You can file their tax at the end of the year to claim other credits they might have. I hope it helps.
