Battle Arena Toshinden (PS1) Playthrough/Marathon - Ellis - Hardest Difficulty - No Continues

- A Marathon of the 1st Battle Arena Toshinden on the Hardest Difficulty with Ellis. The 1st Battle Arena Toshinden has a problem with its soundtrack if played on a emulator so i had to manually put the soundtracks as the game wont play then properly( Rungo and Gaia Themes i switched to their Battle Arena Toshinden 2 ones as their ones from the 1st one wont play properly). This game going up against the CPU on the hardest is basically a whiff punish game, because if you try to even outplay the CPU face to face he will always counter your inputs so its better to wait for the CPU to make a mistake then you can go in. While this game looks like it has block stun, its a very small window and can be cancelled by anything( like a shoryuken move), but you as the player is very hard to pull off while the CPU will do it everytime it feels like doing it.

God damn yes. I loved this game as a kid, I remember finishing it with at least duke and Eiji - but absolutely not on hardest.

Yes this game's AI is something else on hardest for sure, you cant mix it up, a direct approach is always in their favor as They will mix you up, and every character that hás a Shoryuken type move, The CPU will Just "guard cancel" into it for monster damage. Só basically like i say in the description it becomes a whiff punish game.

Ohhh then your probably gonna enjoy this marathon! I had The Playstation purple disc that had The demo of BAT. It was awesome! Dont mind The cuts as i had tô manually put The songs on cause its hard tô run this game properly on emulator.

Yeah this is waaaay before The time of Machine learning só tô speak só The AI follow a set amount of commands but their AI is good enough that you have tô be on top of your game almost all The time. Even i get impressed on how insane The AI on Toshinden is.

I used tô play then as well At first but Ellis turned out tô be my main till today. Her movement alongside she being a infinite combo Machine did it for me😊

@@ShaneDouglas713 And thats Just scratching The surface as i was playing in a safe manner as you can go crazy until The game kicks in its 2nd built-in infinite breaker which forces a knockdown (1st One is a further push back on hit).

Yeah The way they implemented it makes it seem The game is janky tô those Who never played (alongside how moves can cancel into each other like with Darkstalkers Magic séries but in a more complex way). It takes awhile tô grasp it but once you do you can manage it in a more consistent manner.
Hello; how did you put gaia's toshinden 2 music on the original game i was 4 when this game came out but my dad had it back in 1995 i never was able to unlock sho not even in the 2nd game. You're an awesome player

About The music, running Toshinden on a emulator makes The music behaves weirdly só what i had tô do is basically play The character and crédits song with a external program on The vídeo (i used VLC) and with Gaia, i chose his Toshinden 2 theme for preference purposes (same with Rungo's theme). I still have The purple demo disc that hás Toshinden on 😊!
@@Rugalbernstein777 cool I have the first one at home and even with the 2nd game I never got to unlock Vermillion he's my favorite but I like Uranus she wasn't that bad like master was lol. Even if I faced master on easy mode he or she would still kick my butt lol

How'd you get Rungo's Toshinden 2 Theme on here? 🤔
Oh that? Só Toshinden is kinda funky tô make it work in a emulator and basically i have tô manually play The characters theme on using external ways as ingame it sounds laggy. I prefer his Toshinden 2 theme better só i instead played that. Thats on The beginning of every Battle you see The vídeo jumping tô The fight with me paused... Thats me setuping The correct áudio
@@Rugalbernstein777 I played this on my emulator back in the 2010s and no music played...I was dissatisfied...
Oh i know thats because emulators back then couldnt read multi image disks só The game would be playable but with no music... Now with newer version it does work but The catch with Toshinden is you have tô Force The game tô run At 30fps instead of 60 and The emulator tries tô match The music with The 30fps and it gets all broken and laggy... Só i Just set then manually
