there was a time when the Switch uses the WiFi and online services for the console didn’t exist yet. I know because prior to the introduction of Nintendo Online, I managed to play Mario Kart online using only the WiFi and it actually worked well
I was just talking about this! It would make the switch the ultimate portable device, while also letting you experience the 3ds games in a whole new light.
Netflix is the big one for me. I just wanna stream movies and shows and anime on my Switch. I mean yeah, I can do that on my computer and phone, but I wanna do it on my Switch. Bigger screen than my phone, more portable than my computer, and it can hook into a TV at 1080p.
Spotify wouldn't fit on the switch. Just play music on something else. Way easier than having to pause. Switch to spotify just to find another song. Plus the switch os literally doesn't allow 2 running applications at the same time.
Again it's not a mobile device for streaming services, It's a console. You dont see the xbox with Amazon on it. There's way better options out there for this stuff.

Give us the ability to make screenshots from games into backgrounds for the switch. This is something that, for some reason, I thought was already implemented on the switch when I first got it.
The 3ds chips won’t work, without having to redesign the switch which would cost Nintendo money and resources that they could be using for first party titles the next switch and eventually the next Nintendo console.

Ports weren't as advertised as the Switch's successful ads are and I have no doubt if the Switch got Virtual Console, Nintendo Switch might get the Wii U treatment.
One year later and I am sitting here researching Switch because I've been considering FINALLY giving in and getting one....I have to say I am surprised watching this video. Wii U had a browser and Netflix.... What the heck?! Maybe the supposed new console coming out this year will have some of these upgrades.
Drift was only on the very first type of joycons, not the ones that you can by separately and the red box switch (the one I have). They fixed it not too long after the switch was launched

You look so happy and enthusiastic every time you talk about your Switch and there are so many indie games from your eShop recommendation series that I want to play. After almost a year of watching your videos I decided to buy a Switch. I take my Switch everywhere I go. I've been so happy ever since. Just keep doing what you do. You're awesome :)
I totally agree with Netflix, but I would also enjoy apps like Crunchyroll, Funimation, and VRV. Just because it would be great to watch anime on my Switch. :)
It’s a gaming console not a tablet. Nintendo even said themselves they weren’t going to release apps like that right away because they don’t want to give it the reputation of a tablet. That’s why it took so long for Hulu and TH-cam to be released
Still no Netflix, no party chat, no direct messaging, no themes, no music, no folder organization, no web browser and Joy-Cons are still prone to drift. But we did get some cloud saves and a 40% longer lasting battery.
you need to remake this video for now asking again and going over what we got, we have better battery life now and we have the oled with the smaller bezel and better display... it's a thought but it would be cool to see.

BTW, Have a translucent (see through) little pop-up in the top-left corner of the switch for browser notifications that you can tap in handheld mode to go to said browser. Also Discord notifications to know who's talking. One last thing, have a (achievement) star system that you can access all stars in a "Stars" section as one of the bottom programs, next to the News. As well as A Notification Center for each user that can be accessed by going to your profile.
The only thing I want the most from Nintendo is to FIX THE JOY-CON DRIFT. I have had so many issues with mine and it has been so annoying when I play games, I want this to be fixed more than anything
Idk why any one would want , Netflix, TH-cam and other stuff like that on the switch all of that is inside the tv that ur playing in (unless ur tv is like a century old) or it’s in ur pocket , in the form of a phone
Also if Nintendo put a slightly better graphics card and a faster processor in the switch, that would improve a lot of things such as smoother gameplay and not being stuck at 30-60 FPS. Because of the faster, bigger processor and graphics card, the screen will be bigger and I think we all could benefit from that.

the reason why they didn't add customization of themes is because culprits who do mods can easily access the system. that includes browser, save data file, everything that includes add file or access to file system. Nintendo hates custom modders.

Switch needs a better play time recording system I know most people don't care, but... 3DS and Wii U both let you see every game you'd played down to the individual minute, had leaderboards, average time played, graphs on how much you played per month. I love graphs and data and leaderboards like that Switch has... you can see the games you played recently, rounded to the nearest five hours. That's it.
Every time you get an achievement, it does the iconic Switch click Edit: Or you get to pick from other iconic game noises like Mario's coin, or when Link gets a new item, etc.
Eh I dont feel like hearing that sound when you get achievement would feel rewarding. Maybe they could maybe make it different for each game like make it the "YOU GOT A MOON" song for mario odyssey and the korok theme for zelda
sunfeatherX3 There are certainly not many ways to use netflix the way you could with the switch (seamless exchange between tv and portable). The closest thing to that is an iphone + an apple TV, which is ridiculous, expensive and not everybody that can have a switch would easily buy that. I use youtube a lot on the switch, and I’m sure many others do as well. Yes for Netflix!

Dude I had no idea you couldn't even message people over the switch... I went to message a friend a week or so back and saw my only options were delete friend, Block, or Make Best Friend. I wasn't happy I mean that is just the bare minimum you would expect but nope not Nintendo. They have no competition so they become complacent and just milk their customers.

Yeah, it’s like almost one of the simplest things to do! Just hire a professional design artist (which I’m sure they have) or use some old designs! I’m sure it’ll take a smudge of work, but it’d be worth it and fans would stop begging to them add it, they would only be suggesting good ideas, or moving onto the next topic they want to criticize Nintendo about. Simplest thing, maybe can be done in just a few days!
dude the battery life in those things are so good. I fell asleep watching TH-cam and I woke up with the joycons still on full. it was seven hours and they were full.
I have problem with one of them but i think it is just visual it shows it do not charge and it is low battery it does not matter that much cause i have 2 pairs so i can just use another one

I assumed you were talking about 3 years since the time of the video and still no themes but then I saw that the video was only 2 years old and the other poster seems to have the opposite take on it and assume you meant 3 years since the switch was made and still no themes. They did that in the form of the $20 dollar stand that makes the charger port to the side and solves both problems of using the stand and charging at the same time
Make the back metal (not a terribly heavy one though) and have basically the entire bottom half of the back plate into a kickstand.

Nintendo will not do achievements. They think they suck the life out of games because people feel incomplete when they don't gather them all. I think their main focus is keeping the games fun... That's my understanding anyway... I think I saw that somewhere
as for online that should be free with the switch online features like games and extra stuff costing money and with themes they'd probably be cheaper than they were on the 3Ds i'd say $1-3 just makes sense
I know the video was made 2 years ago but I still want to say this. I think it would be cool to have a theme system where u get 1 theme for each game u own like 1 BOTW theme 1 sword and shield theme etc and an achievement system where u get stars for completing achievements and every 3 stars on 1 game (meaning 3 achievements on BOTW 3 achievements on mario odyssey etc) u get a new theme from that game

Well, one thing did happen. My Switch has 2 and 1/2 extra hours of battery life and I have yet to personally have a problem with it running out of battery when I use it at work. I bought a car charger for it and haven't had to use it. It may not be the hardware revision people were clamouring for, but it did happen.
The battery life has improved, and snes games were added. I've noticed the difference after buying 4 switches, and my 4 kids snatched them up. I finally got my very own on my 38th birthday , they all saved and bought me one. The Series X will be mine alone.🤫

Software update that gives us a good zoom function. Specifically for trying to read text on the switch lite.

I know most people don't care, but... 3DS and Wii U both let you see every game you'd played down to the individual minute, had leaderboards, average time played, graphs on how much you played per month. I love graphs and data and leaderboards like that

sunfeatherX3 There are certainly not many ways to use netflix the way you could with the switch (seamless exchange between tv and portable). The closest thing to that is an iphone + an apple TV, which is ridiculous, expensive and not everybody that can have a switch would easily buy that. I use youtube a lot on the switch, and I’m sure many others do as well.

Yeah, it’s like almost one of the simplest things to do! Just hire a professional design artist (which I’m sure they have) or use some old designs! I’m sure it’ll take a smudge of work, but it’d be worth it and fans would stop begging to them add it, they would only be suggesting good ideas, or moving onto the next topic they want to criticize Nintendo about. Simplest thing, maybe can be done in just a few days!

Nintendo will not do achievements. They think they suck the life out of games because people feel incomplete when they don't gather them all. I think their main focus is keeping the games fun...

I think it would be cool to have a theme system where u get 1 theme for each game u own like 1 BOTW theme 1 sword and shield theme etc and an achievement system where u get stars for completing achievements and every 3 stars on 1 game (meaning 3 achievements on BOTW 3 achievements on mario odyssey etc) u get a new theme from that game

Well, one thing did happen. My Switch has 2 and 1/2 extra hours of battery life and I have yet to personally have a problem with it running out of battery when I use it at work. I bought a car charger for it and haven't had to use it. It may not be the hardware revision people were clamouring for, but it did happen.
The battery life has improved, and snes games were added. I've noticed the difference after buying 4 switches, and my 4 kids snatched them up. I finally got my very own on my 38th birthday , they all saved and bought me one. The Series X will be mine alone.🤫
