Excellent episode! Now this is an outstanding event. Well planned and well run. I did it in 2019 and it is everything they say it is. If you’re thinking about doing the LT100, go for it! You will not regret it.
I’m coming from Indiana, so no altitude, how is the altitude adjustment in Leadville? Should I plan to go a week or two ahead to get acclimated? Thanks
@@EthanDossett 2-3 weeks is recommended. Racing at altitude is no joke. Anything you can do to get out there early will help. I’ve heard that if you can’t spend some time there to acclimate, arriving the day before the race is the next best thing.
It would be interesting to hear from the guy pulling Winder to almost catching Gomez-Villafane. I bet he would compliment Winder and say he was on the rivet on that pull.
I'm confused about the Unbound 2023 race placings? This video says that Sofia got first in Unbound 2023, but I'm pretty sure it was Carolin Schiff. What am I missing?
Thanks for watching! Yes, she was second behind Schiff but the first of 35 Life Time Grand Prix women who were competing for the overall series. This season, it's 30 men and 30 women going for $300,000. Have you checked out some of the other race recaps or Call of a Life Time episodes? Have a favorite?
Great video! Ruth having someone from outside her category pull for her seems like a bit of a dirty move. You should only be allowed to draft from people inside the same race category. Sofia was out there eating wind while ruth was getting a fat pull from a mikes bike's rider
its a shame Sofia got so much flack from last year. I loved her attitude and it's obviously strange to not hear from someone so dominant in the series.
There have been all types of bikes tapped to take on the Leadville course. Check out the bike checks published on Dylan Johnson, Lachlan Morton and Keegan Swenson. Interesting (and fast) approaches!
they're pretty obviously modeling the series after the Formula 1 Drive to Survive show, and while i get that it isn't the format you like, Formula 1 had the largest growth in young viewership of any sport in the world after that show premiered 6 years ago. It makes sense that Lifetime is trying to emulate that same success and bring in brand new viewers.
Listen to her talk (on podcasts)about the filming experience and edited final. The producers took multiple statements out of context and totally misrepresented Sofia. Don't think bad of her because Shannon wanted to manufacturer a dramatic villain.
@@ryangregohara I don't remember specifically, but she was on Groadio, Payson's Adventure Stash, and Trainer Road's podcasts. I listened to all 3 of them and don't recall which one she talked about the lame edit of season 1. And also hearing others talk about her... Point is, she isn't the jerk Shannon portrayed her to be.
@@claytonious_johnsoncool. I didn’t really find her off putting from that interaction…it was many of the other ones. For her sake it’s probably a good thing to bow out of the interviews.
Come on lifetime…..you had to monetize these? Makes them impossible to watch on larger tv connected through AppleTV without the whole works sh***ing the bed.
🌍🚵♂ Exploring the world on two wheels never looked so good! This video is a treasure, and it's proudly being added to our collection. Fantastic work! 🚀
love the back story coverage on the athletes, especially the females, some great stories there.
Woah watching season two from the start. This episode was the strongest so far for me. So thrilling!

I love these videos!! All of it:personal stories, commentary, and watching the racers! Very inspiring! Great coverage! Thanks!
Love these videos
Good for you Lauren!!! What an inspiration you are for not walking away and embracing your passion!!!❤🌹
So true!
this series is fun to watch while on Zwift
What's your favorite video for riding Zwift?
This is wonderful. What a beautiful story about strength.
Awesome work, team! This years videos have been great start to finish.

If you haven't seen, Ruth has had an amazing start to '24 already. Look for her to win some of the biggest races in the world this season!
These are some great competitors. Excellently produced video
We agree! Thanks for the note!
amazing series. can't wait for this years!
SO glad you enjoyed watching!
you guys produce awesome videos, you deserve million subscribers
So glad you're digging them!
Excellent video
Thank you very much - glad you enjoyed it!
Leadville 100 mtb !
So did Sofia refuse to be part of the doc series?
She certainly didn't create any positive feedback in last years edition. 😬 🤷♂️
@@philipnelson79 is exactly why I dislike her. Especially when she insulted all those who ride with passion. She is a piece of work

For Heather Jackson, I feel they should put “professional long course triathlete”, so impressive she can switch between sports
Incredibly versatile athlete, incredibly friendly person - Heather is great!

She had such a great year in '23 and surely will have another in '24! Be sure to check out our new approach to race coverage this season!
🦍
So did Sofia decline interviews after all the flack last year?
Lets make films about our race series where we never talk to the winner.
Sofia didn’t want to be in the series this yeae
Let’s complain about awesome free cycling content
@@kroman4she came off really sour last year…
98% of the course surface seems more suitable for a rigid gravel bike. Faster.

Why is over half of each episode dedicated to human interest stories/ course preview?
More in race coverage please

sofia got lucky...she won't win again. Sorry just don't like her from watching the last series...MY opinion!!!!

Cut the Life Time marketing and make these interesting. Too boring even for the trainer.
