Nationwide phenomena.....one of the guys who actually led race for 30seconds wearing way to much baggy clothes (same uniform as guy who led but faded to 3rd)...you can see in post race video just walking around...but never in front again.
Your camera shots are so stable and high quality. Your commentary is a little cheesy but I would still love to have this kind of footage for a race. Keep it up.
I just ran a 5k yesterday with a friend ...I literally told her I will run with her to support her..Lets just say she was the last one!!! hahahaha... I'm proud , because she ran at a very slower pace, and did not stop once!

It’s amazing right at the start of a race you can look at the lead pack and the person with the best form wins the race 99% of the time. A strong core is everything, from the 100m to the marathon. A powerful effortless form is so beautiful to watch.

This is one of the unfortunate things about community races is the very little competitive opponents in the race. You're only going against one or three guys max if you're a decent runner and only one or even worse zero, if you were a top varsity XC runner.

If you're a sub 16 min runner on a flat course and run a hilly course like that one at the same EFFORT, you're going to run significantly slower. I'll put it another way for you. Had he run at the same effort on a flat course he'd have run sub 16 EASY. And had he run it on the track it would be even faster. It's simple physics. That's why kipchoge chose an auto racing track in his attempt to break the 2 hour marathon in 2017. I know you know this stuff.

Who are these clowns that are running a 100 yard dash at the front of the race? I coulnt at least 6 people who have on business being on the starting line. They are screwing up the other faster runners behind them. There needs to be a new sign grouping labeled "clowns" at the very back of the starting line.
a friend of mine, in may on mothers day, hes from ethiopia, but running up here in calgary alberta canada, hes also a professional marathon runner, he ran the 5k mothers day run in 16:06, than 2 weeks later ran the Calgary Marathon 10km race, in just over 30 minutes, and 2 weeks later than that again another 10km race just over 31 minutes, he has won 3 races back to back to back now, and next race is on the 8th, and hes hoping for a 4th in a row
i also ran the Calgary Marathon this year but the 10km race in 1:07:53 than 3 hours later i ran the 5km race just for fun in 33:21, wasnt able to walk for a few days after that, i also train with a few athletes including my friend i was talking about above, and a Canadian hopeful for 2020 Olympics for Marathon running who won the Calgary Marathon back to back in 2012 and 2013 who also held the course record until 2016 i think it was broken

That was a 16:35 at a 15 minute effort. You've got to figure in those hills; this is a tough course.

this year ive been running injured, but my PB in 10km is 33:44
