I'm thinking you'll have a lot of near empty stock books on the book shelf if you have a general world collection. I use stock books but I take into account the rarity of missing stamps before I leave too much space, if realistically I am unlikely to acquire those stamps. By contrast, a specialised collection of say top end penny blacks or china dragons might intentionally have just a few on each page.
I mainly collect Great Britain stamps but if i am offered any other countries i will never say no. I was just wondering if you had any suggestions on how to organise an international book to reduce duplicates across the book. I would do separate books but i don't want to have hundreds of books only with a few stamps in. I was looking though one of my stock books last night and found 8 of the same stamp across the book, i guess i didn't check properly before putting it in haha
Yeah I hear ya, I’m currently working through those in a German SAFE album, it’s taken me many hours and I still have a lot of work to do! I think getting a German stamp catalogue wouldn’t be a bad move, won’t be near as expensive as a full set of Scott catalogues. Prolly be around $50 but you would be able to learn all the differences/varieties!
@@mallardstamps Hi. I have old stamps from America, Britain, Ottoman, France and Switzerland. You can help me sell them, and I can send you their pictures on WhatsApp or e-mail, and this is a job between us. Tel 0046700931690

Ebay is a great friend, I picked up 12x a4 sized stock books in fantastic condition for less than £60, bargin Can even pick up the odd cheap one with some stamps in it to bolster your collection as well as getting the stockbook ✌

@@hamoostaffat Can you write down a search term that I shall user on ebay to find those "empty" books?
Hi, I am a Persian girl and I'm very excited to see you choose Iran stamps for your video. 🤩🤩🤩
Thanks so much 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I've always preferred a printed album. It organizes the stamps automatically
I appreciate your videos! So excited to return to collecting.
Empty stockbooks....so tempting to fill!!!! ;)
Amen!
EXCITING SEARCHES!! 😍🥳

Good job! Thanks ! Very helpful

Yay new vid!
If used stamps with stains are placed in new album, will they effect the surface of the page.?

Do you prefer using stock books for your collecting, rather than stamp albums?
Personally I like stick books more for sure!
hey guys it’s mallard. welcome back to another stamp video.
Philately is a giant impossible jigsaw puzzle
How would you take into account German Inflation stamps, so many variables.

hi
dude you need to get a proper pair of tweezers
I did!
Totally unrealistic way of organizing and cataloging
How would you organize a single country stockbook? I’m weighing different options before I put in all the work to fill a stockbook.
Totally unrealistic and pointless way of organizing and cataloging. Go back to school. Actually study law. You will learn a lot.
