Wonderful video. Very well presented and edited. Good info you provided. I am looking forward to future videos about your penny red adventure. And, long running definitives are really cool to collect. Thanks for the video.
Very good video! Well scripted and well presented. It gives very interesting information without becoming too long windy. I certainly learned some things about the penny reds. Thanks for the video. Looking forward to more!
thanks! yeah, I did not change the orientation for this long video to fit YT... at first, the intention was only for TikTok, but decided I would just also post it here 😅. will check if how to auto-change this in capcut or canva.
@@ThreeStunStamps let me know if you find a solution 😃. I create content based on the platform (YT, YT Shorts, TikTok, Insta, Facebook), this cost a lot of time 😅
Thanks for the input, I will make adjustments next time. This one was actually created as an Instagram reel and for tiktok, hence the reason for the fast and overlapping audio. But your feedback is important to make adjustments here in youtube. Thanks! 🙌
Just joined. How does one know which penny black penny red to put on the in the first set in a standard cat. I don't think you can use any penny black that was issued in May 1840...That's what i'm getting at.I also collect Britain, Greece, New Zealand, Cyprus, Cook Islands.
In the same boat myself. The first reds must be Alphabet 1 and this is not too hard to sort out from hard-copy or online listings of the alphabet types. After that it is down to identifying the plate used by finding small differences between plates noting that this can differ for each letter pair on each plate, and some plates were repaired or may have changed slightly during use.Getting hold of images of each of those plates is your/our challenge. I am sure it is nothing that money cannot resolve! In the past I have noticed that some dealers/specialists offer a plating service.
Excellent video. Very interesting, informative and of great use. Thank you.

Nice video, if you could break it down to 1min to have a TH-cam Shorts Video it would have the perfect format :D

Not sure if I follow your question, but I have made my approach to go by plate number and postmarks, to differentiate printing periods.

@@kroo07 couldn’t have said it better!!! One such dealer who offer plating reconstructions is Liverpoolstamps (UK-based).
