For me Top Picks For You is one of the most deeply emotional songs I've heard in the last few years. The concept and Ritchie's delivery, the stark, otherworldly, oddly industrial soundscape it creates is so vivid I can close my eyes and picture it as a place, everything just gels so perfectly. I absolutely love this album but that song is fast becoming one of my all time favourites.

Man, I know it's still early but i think this might be my favorite album of the decade. I've never heard a rap producer with more of an organic approach to production. It's like AI capabilities how completely fused Parker Corey is with the sounds he works with on this album. This is the most a rap producer has ever embodied the spirit of free jazz imo. Rivals some of the best producers in electronic music today (i.e. arca etc) And the absolutely mastery of rapping it takes to not just match the production but just like effortlessly dance over it the way Ritchie and Groggs do, man, especially Ritchie. It's music like this that really makes you appreciate the intimacy of creating music as a group. There are few things people can do outside of sex and religion where they can be more aligned with each other's souls than creating art together. The effortless trust it takes to make something this fluid and simultaneously this tight. This is music that people make when the fabric of their lives become truly permanently intertwined. I envy this type of relationship more than any romantic one I've ever seen. And that intertwining only makes the pain on this album that more real. I wish the best for Ritchie and Parker regularly, to have it and lose it is to feel more than most people will ever get to. Only track on here i don't really like that much is smoke don't clear, but even with that, with the perspective of art as our primary vehicle to catalog the feeling of human experience, it would feel disrespectful to call this anything less than perfect.

Bye Storm is the perfect conclusion. The rest of the album takes your breath away and makes you think and feel so many things. It’s so mournful and desperate. It feels like the drums and synths are screaming, and Ritchie is barely keeping himself together. But then you get this wave of warmth and hope, and the message that yeah - shit happens, and sometimes that shit can be unbearable and you don’t know if you’ll be able to survive it since you see so many other people not able to, but all that you can do is try. They felt a storm of goodbyes - a loud and chaotic mess of so many things - but the storm will pass and they’ll make it through.

Superman That actually has guitar and drums from Black Midi, if you’ve never heard that band I definitely recommend it, Cavalcade came out earlier this year and literally blew me away with how chaotic and chilling it is but also energetic. If you could react that would be great 👍

luv the reaction man, I think if you want some experimental hip hop, you should check Dos Monos, a Japanese band (who worked with Injury Reserve), they got mad flow and production, songs like 'medieval' or 'in 20XX'
