Sweet. Been there once as a teen in ‘78, great experience. PAX on my ground school instructor’s shared 172, two nights tenting under the wing. Love that Raptor magic, no disrespect to the Beastly Bugs lol. But best is the sound of those Merlins. A few new airplane types this year for me. “Rock and roll!”. ~8D
So an aerobatic airplane has its engine blow up in the middle of the routine and he points it straight down and lands safely and that doesn’t make it into the highlight reel? Really???
@@AirshowStuffVideos it was a fluorescent green unlimited aerobatic type. He did a vertical up line towards the south and there was no smoke and several very loud backfires. I was by the UL field which is pretty far so not sure of the timing of the sound but at the top he went vertically down and disappeared. That was the end of this performance. I couldn’t see where he went but I presume he landed fine. It sounded to me like his engine blew up but I don’t know for certain.
Man, I was at thunder over Michigan last weekend and it was nothing like this 😢 I was pretty disappointed with it. This is what I was hoping for and kind of expecting. Seeing multiple jets in the air at the same time, flying in formation like that. It was a let down especially considering it was my parents first time ever seeing an airshow.
I was there today and it was nice to see the thunder birds
I grew up near the EAA an only live a mile away from the EAA in town ,The jets rocked my house 🏠🏠Very impressive ❤
Great video! Almost, almost like being there. Thank you for sharing.
We arrived just as the Thunderbird passed over the main promenade. What a special welcome to this special gathering.

I was wondering that too.
He shut it down and deadsticked his aircraft down whilst restarting the engine.
Would love to hear the story. I don't know anyone who saw anything like that happen
@@AirshowStuffVideosBS if asher saw it you’re cooked.
