Flew in on Monday, right about the time the P-51 kept going around due to the fellow in the Canard not being able to change runways, and then being told to go-around due to the appearance of his nose gear. Maybe I'll be in part 2 of Monday arrivals? (Blue on blue Lancair, landed 36R).
The low approaches are part of the training quota. As much as we love to see them, they aren't really showing up for free, the crew is logging experience and maintaining currency.
That red DO-28 really looked good! 🙂
2:20 The early Do-28 is a beauty!

@@rossbremner5125 Culpepper. There’s a good bit of vintage aviation going on there, including a flying circus of Stearmans and I think Waco’s.
What a great show this year even the night shows were fantastic
It never ceases to amaze me how odd and funny it looks to watch a Ford Trimotor take off. Its like defying gravity.
It IS defying gravity.
Shout for the Mooneys. My father owned both the Ranger and Executive. Miss those days of flying with him.

@10:40 that Cessna 180! 😍
What is the red twin-engine @ 2:20?
Dornier Do. 28 I believe.
@@mdschm That's it, thanks. N841, not N84 "I" as I was searching 😆
Correct Do28-A... the first version of the "twin Do27". The Do27 was the first serialproduction aircraft after WW2 in Germany.
The wonderful burble sound of a radial engine.xd
I wish they would list the type of aircraft. The piper, Cessna WW2 warbirds I know. The others ???
they were Cessna 172, Beech Bonanza, Piper PA-28, Van's RV-6. Cessna 172, Beech Bonanza, Piper PA-28, Van's RV-6, Cessna 172, Beech Bonanza, Piper PA-28, Van's RV-6. Cessna 172
The odd red plane with the two front engines and a high wing is a Dornier 28

I wish we can see more skyraider. We see more p51 mustangs than the iconic Douglas Skyraider

The runway is wide enough for 2 side by side !!!
@@wilburfinnigan2142 Might be. But the frontal sight is about zero in those birds.
@@stefanmargraf7878 Pilots just look out the side of the open canopy !!!! DUUUUUHHH!!!!! they take off 2 wide ll the time !!
not really, just looks that way from the camera angle
In what way? The runway's plenty wide enough to take two aircraft side by side
OLA BOA NOITE/ DOMINGO/ 18/08/2024. OK
Why is it that Air Force pilots can't just land. They have to tie up the pattern to show off how they can abort landings.
