It always amazes me that there are people in America with the skills, know how and most of all $$$ to keep these warbirds in the air. Can you imagine the fuel and maintenance on F111 Aardvark? Just astounding. These are patriots at their finest.
We often talk about how loud fighter jets are and their deafening thunderous roar isn’t news to anyone, but you’ll hear a much deeper rumble from that C-5 during takeoff if you use headphones. I don’t think this should be too much of a surprise considering how monstrously large the C-5 is. It makes my eardrums tickle just a tiny bit.
There are L-39 Albatros. Czechoslovak (now Czech) training and light combat planes designet in soviet era. Fifth L-39 you can see behind Mig-29 with soviet red star on rudder. Newest (present) version of L-39 is L-39 NG. Same design only without fuel tanks on wings, but inside is NG completely modern plane.
Interestingly, L-39 were used as camera planes during filming of Top-Gun Maverick. There are very popular light jet planes over the world. Many L-39 are private.

@@amramjose Yeah, I saw that later in the video and it put on a great display. I think there are 10 or 12 airworthy 23s in the U.S., but Isaacman’s 29 used to be the only flyable private MiG-29 in the States. Not sure if that is still the case. Isaacman bought it from Paul Allen’s estate.

The MiG-23 will forever be one of my favorites. It's such a "raw" and "brutal" looking jet.
What is raw about that landing gear? Shit weighs about the same as the soviet T 62 turret.
MiG-23 is the worst product of the famous Mikoyan-Gurevich Aeronautic bureau‼
I just think it's great that there are people who keep these really beautiful aircraft alive. If I had the money I would do that too!
Great show. I flew in Doc in the cockpit in 2020. A dream come true.

That C-5 at 7:15 looked majestic. I might have flown it 40 years ago when I was stationed at Travis.
But it's missing the TF-39 roar.
I got to fly the C-5 simulator at Travis with a group of Boy Scouts. What a rush!!

The maneuverability of fighter Jets is crazy.
Wonder how they get parts for the Mig and Tornados?
MIG23 parts, any of the former soviet republics or some Arab countries, maybe India. Tornado? UK, lots of retired planes.

That mig-29 had his intake shutters closed during the taxi
That’s normal, is it not? Air intake through the upper slats to reduce FOD risk…part of the MiG-29 design for unimproved runways.
Thats fully normal. Mig-29 have also air intakes on upper side of fuselage to reduce FOD danger while taxiing.
