What helped me with fear in the park is go out into the trees or something find some nice snow and build a jump then once you got a feeling for the trick into soft snow you can then take it to the packed shit this doesn’t really help with rails but fuck rails they destroy your skis
I m in my 30s and sometime I get too comfortable with life and lost the edge. After picking up park skiing is definitely helping find that courage to step out of my comfort zone a lot more. Life changing. Thank you so much for the video. When I m feeling scared in front of a jump I know I m not alone haha.
If you want to get better at rails, the biggest thing is confidence imo. This season, in only 3 days, I learned to consistently lace both unnatural ski slides and FS switch ups. What it took was an entire day of getting frustrated because I didn't have the balls to transfer to the unnatural stance. Eventually, you just get so frustrated with yourself that you finally send it. And, if you are willing to commit, you don't necessarily have to get hurt. I'd recommend trying spins-on and switch ups on a tube first. Super low-risk, they usually have high lips, and then to try any spinoffs on taller normal rails. Have a good season and good luck in the park!
Started skiing at 12, I’m now 20 and haven’t skied in a couple years because of nursing school. I really want to be able to do tricks and get back into it- thank you for making encouraging and informational videos! You’ve helped me overcome my fear of getting hurt and I can’t wait for the snow to stay in upstate NY!
Long time downhill skier trying to get into freestyle over the last year or so. Your vids have been a huge help. Looking forward to what you come up with this winter!
I'm so excited for this ski season. I want to try my first black diamond and possibly try some jumps at the park. I just hope the COVID gods keep Snowshoe open
I wanna learn backflips this year. I can 360. I’m consistent on trampoline and diving board. Should I just commit or should I learn something else in between.
How long are your skis and what’s ur height I dk what size I should get for twin tips I currently have slalom skis that are too small I am between 5’10” and 5’11” for height
hey, so I just got my first pair of twin tip skis (nordica soul rider 84) and I skied them for the first time this weekend and i'm really dissapointed. They feel the same as all the carving skies I had and they're really boring. They're not really flexible and very thin for a "park" ski. The only real reason I bought them was because the ski shop only had 2 models. Do you think I just need more practice until they are fun?
Okay so I just bought my first personal pair of skis. I’ve snowboarded for 8 years and wanted to switch it up. I’m about 5’11 200lbs athletic build. I bought a pair of rossignol exp 84ai 176cm and just wanted to know if these are too long to get into the park a little bit?
Easyyyy money, biggest thing for me was my fitness. I started working out core and legs and it helps a world bro. Started spinning 5s on jumps I couldn’t 180 last year....Good luck
@@haydenhuckaby7004 The two biggest things that I had to fix to land it was my head placement and my position in the air. When you spin to complete your rotation it helps if u sorta look over your shoulder. Then what happens a lot in the air is u naturally lean back u want to stay leaning more forward otherwise u slide out on the landing
Hey man i been watching you’re videos and practicing a lot I also noticed I’m pretty sure you go to the same ski resort as me haha atleast I’m pretty sure
I think you should start posting videos on how to learn tricks in the back country because park isn’t something everyone is into and the fear factor is a lot bigger in the back country because your not going off man made jumps most the time it’s just drops and small lips but it’s a lot more air and it can be a lot scarier especially depending on the line you choose to take down
I thought you were gonna say send it and end the video😂 I just landed my first cork 7. Love your content I started freestyle one year ago when I was 11 years old. You can check it out on my channel.
Getting the guts to actually do the trick is my biggest enemy
Once you send it once it just gets easier, just gotta toughen up and send it dude
My biggest enemy is my skis cuz I have slalom skis but I don’t like racing
Edit I now have twintip skis from Christmas
@@newplayer3861 i was in the same position last year. I was a racer and used my slip skis for park stuff.

just think about how epic itll be if you know how to do it, youre gonna have to learn eventually

I'm early??? This year I want to get better at sliding rails and learn some spins. I just want to get more comfortable in general.
Honestly best way to learn rails is to just practice and try and get farther every time and once you get one rail try a more difficult one

You are amazing and are a hard worker. Thanks for always helping us
Skiing is my favorite I am exited to get my game back on lots of jumps
We ski at the same resort! Great to see another small town skier.
I’m trying to become a better park skier I took a lot of runs on the terrain park took some boxes and jumps
And thanks so much ❤️
We just got 40 inches of fresh snow in NH can’t wait to get back on the slopes
yooo you should go to jay peak its clearly the best resort in the east for powder.
it gets 29feet of snow annually
yo what size r u and how tall r u?(when it comes to ur merch) just tryna get a scale for what size i should get.
I'm 5'9" and that's a medium

You should do a video how to crash safety with skis like what to do and what not to do if you are crashing.
Any tips on gaining confidence for 360’s? I can 180 and I throw grabs on any size jump, just never thrown a 360 on a park jump
Same
Never clicked off the hub so quick
Lmao
love your vids! this helps alot!
Learning everything both ways asap helps too

Thanks for the vid. Do you have to be center ski to do tricks/terrain park?
Nice video, really helpful
I was just watching the other video about how to commit to doing new tricks and then now another one sweet

Are you still going to be mainly shredding peak this season? I heard New York has got some strict travel restrictions.
Wow can’t wait to ski tomorrow another nice video!
got any particular beginner park skis in mind? I've been snowboarding for years and have borrowed my buddies skis so i am familiar.

My brother went from hitting his first jump to 720 in 2 months. Sometimes you just have to be confident and go for it

i’m a beginner park skier my goal for the year was to land a 360 and i landed my first last week
Congrats 🍾🎉🎈

How do I over come the fear of tearing my mcl last year from a 360, scared to ruin my season this year
try and do 180s and try and slowly work your way into 3s into some pow

As a lifelong east coast/midwest skier I don't have any backcountry experience unfortunately
Wdym how to learn tricks in the backcountry? Do them in the park and once you get comfortable start applying them in the BC.
When will bmbw open ://
december 16th and bmbw hasn't even turned a snowgun on....
I'm beyond frustrated. I just want to ski!
