I'm just dying of laughter as the dog is licking the skis during the box pedaling demonstration.
same
Doggo thinks those are popsicle sticks.
Just turned 28. I spent all my previous skiing experience in the trees and drops. Then I had a kid and stopped skiing. I have the privilege of night skiing this season at least, which the only thing to do at night, really, is hit the park. Hopefully my old man body doesn’t shatter. Anyway, this made much more sense to me once I saw the skiing footage. I think you can sum it up by saying, apply pressure with your front foot in the opposite direction of your momentum. Super excited for this season now.
2 years later, can you hit rails now
we shall see

I’m curious to know
nice effort here. you dont see many tutorials on this... other than in person lessons, hard to find. nice job!!
Thanks!
the dog is killing me h
ahahahhaha
Had a park session last night and tried this for the first time. It's amazing how much better my rail game got! So much more confidence when you lock in and it feels oh so good. Can't believe i never thought to do this. Thanks for this video!
the dog was snacking on those skis
I’ve been struggling with rails for YEARS and nobody told me about this :( glad for this channel, thanks for the help! Best tutorials for getting into the park
Your dog was so cute in the background love tutorial very helpful
the dog is so cute
amazing bro, first video ive seen of you and smashed it m8. Subbed 2 seconds into the video! You saved me from needing a tail bond and hip replacement in the future when im 40
A question if you heel press do you push on that foot because It would look like if you do that you would fall on your side i I am just confused about how much pressure I need to do ( I am not that good at English)
Goooood stuff
I’m pretty sure I have herd this referred to as scissoring but thanks for the demonstration
I've heard it called both
Super helpful vid. I just started learning rails this year and I have a feeling this is really gonna help me with my 270 dismounts and other stuff I'm working on. Do you use this for switchups on rails or is that mostly just an upper body rotation with a little hop?
Also I only ever grind right foot forward. Should I aim to get to like half and half with each foot forward on rails or do most people hit these features the same side every time? I feel like I'm gonna have to learn to get on with my left foot forward when I start learning switchups next season
Judges wanna see both.
Dude awesome video you are amazing I bought all your mercy love ur vids
how long do your orders take to ship? i ordered a peak necklace last sunday
This video is very handy
Cute dog
great vid😀
God video i gonna start with pedaling this season, hope it’s gonna helps 😎🤙
I can already do a ton of tricks on rail and ive never done this 😂
Whats the beef whit bread?
Pedal and scissor babyyyyy
Instruction unclear, Doggo had my full Attention...
Does the heel and toe pressing correlate to which way you want to spin front side or backside or is it just to reposition you on the rail?
Both! Pedaling will help you lock in, but a heel press pedal will help front side spins and toe press will help with backside!
@@TheBagOTricks thanks dude that clears it up perfect
How do you like your armadas??
Guys if you have never hit a rail before please do not try to do this lol, get comfortable doing slides with flat feet.
you ski at brandywine?
Bro I was so confused why it looked like dudes be moving their front foot so much this helped alottt
Glad to hear it!!
doggo just wanted to clean your skis for you
I’m a fan of the long hair
should i rock back and fourth for a rythem to stay on rails longer, or should i stay still until i feel myself slipping and then pedal to adjust
Rocking the front ski back and forth can sometimes help you find that "lock in" feeling
@@TheBagOTricks do you recommend it for spins off or should i stay still
Do you pedal before you get contact on the rail? or do you land flat and then pedal?
Usually getting in position before I even land on the rail
when the dog licked the skis and then he saw his tail and he thot that is so jum jum
2:40 u hit the dog
Whats your recommendations when it comes to you back foot slipping of to one side or another
If you are sliding right foot forward and your back foot is slipping off the right side of the rail you need to push your front foot heel into the rail. This will stop the back foot from sliding off the right side of the rail. If your back foot is slipping off the the left side of the rail you're most likely not getting on the rail at a full 90 degrees. If you're getting on the rail correctly you can try to put your front foot toe down which will help your ski from slipping off the left side of the rail. Hope this helps.
Hey so I just started getting into doing rails should I slide on a rail on my edge or can my skis be flat on the rail
Don't attempt to go on your edge cause you'll slip out and die. Try to have your skis flat, but in reality you will still be on your edges. But try to make them flat
@@dparkjh thank you I see that they have the front ski on it’s edge so that’s why I asked
When i try to rail my skis stabs and ifall on rail
I’m sorry, could you repeat that. I was distracted by how cute your dog was 😄
Let’s goo!!
Rip full tilt
@@lauri7407 Got bought out by K2
what size of skis do you use?
176-178 depending on the brand
@@TheBagOTricks I hope yk you have inspired me greatly man. Keep on grinding
Do you have to do anything with your back foot other then just keep it flat on the rail? Wondering as someone who has never attempted a rail but wants to this season
Great video! Last season was my first tries at rails and I kept slipping onto my side on the rail any tips? Should I just try to lean more forward? It just feels very unnatural. Also I’m a right handed guy right foot or left foot forward?
For the foot forward, go with what feels natural for you. A good tip that help with falling to the side is trying to look at the end of the rail or the horizon.
@@jeandavidyeah8840 thanks! But when I fall it’s basically as soon as I land on the rail I don’t even get a chance to look ahead.
@@carsonlisowe2331 Try to be more gentle when getting on the rail. You're either hitting the rail with too much impact causing you to fall off or you're not get onto the rail at a full 90 degrees. Just keep working on it. All it is is trial and error. One key thing to remember is that you should try to hit the rail with as little impact as possible. This will allow you to gain full control as soon as you get on the rail.
just keep going for it almost everyone starts that way. one huge tip that helped me was stare at end of the rail entire time and lean forward a bit and balance the feet
Put your hand on your leading knee, that helped me learn to keep my balance👌
Nice!
What skiis are these
