    This whole video does change my mindset about practicing switch. And Ollie’s outside of the park to improve knowledge of your skis!!

    0:52 Was a game changer for me. I was trying so hard just to stay riding switch and was terrible at it, wasted like 2 weeks. Got my reverts dialed in and it really taught me how my skis react while riding switch and my confidence skyrocketed. Can almost make it down the hill switch now after only 3 rides with this tip. Thank You, and keep up the great content!

    For videos on beginner tricks, this is by far the best beginner friendly. Exactly the skills you need if you ever want to get into tricks, also really good skills for advanced skiing in general

    You mean I need to add Revert training runs to my Carving drills?! LOL thanks, I started reverting a few months ago, certainly does improve the Switch skiing. I like the idea of adding Revert-Ollie training runs to my Carve training regimen. I think my 16 yr old niece will appreciate this too!

    I've been ollieing for a few years, I finally learned to comfortably ski switch at Crested Butte last year, and I've got the revert down pat. Hitting Big Sky in January and my hope is that I can teach myself to slide some rails.

    Great video. I'm a beginner and want to hit the park, how do you get your knees over your toes so much when you ollie? Do you loosen your top buckles on your boots a little? If I squat as much as you I feel a bit back seated when I try to pop or ollie.

    For the reverts to switch and back do you need park skis? What about a more normal ski with some rocker and some camber but not a ton of twin tip?

    what width skis do you use for terrain park

  • @gargefps5050

    Question, does ski bindings placed in the middle when freestyling and doing rails make it easier even though I have skied with the "normal" placement my whole life.

    • @moshedayan9253
      @moshedayan9253 ปีที่แล้ว

      You defintely want your bindings true center and not offset. When you spin with skis when doing 180 or 360s in the air, and there is more weight on one side, you can feel it in your legs and in your mind.
      That small amount of extra weight on one side when in motion makes a huge difference.
      I personally find myself sometimes riding backseat when in my freeride skis jumping off random bumps/kickers on trails because of the offset.

    What if I dont have twin tip skis?

    • @moshedayan9253
      @moshedayan9253 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You need significantly more pressure pressing on your toes if you want to safely get into switch to lift those straight back edges off the ground.
      You should get twin tips if you plan on doing any of these tricks. Rails and reverts are still possible on your typical rental skis, but just annoying.

    • @andrewdiamond2697

      I can pop, but I don't ollie. So...I'm fine popping off a jump, but otherwise...I have work to do.
