Many thanks to you , i've just been viewing the follow up and found a clear & relevant answer to my initial confusion about built in pre-stage controversial ability. Hats off for your fair follow up and loyalty to the product 👍
It is a great product in saturated market.
Have it about two weeks. The DAC is very good. Had R26, but this is on another level. Especially bass.
I’m glad you’re enjoying it.
You’ve persuaded me! I have a WiiM pro plus which sounds amazingly good in my system but I have been looking at various reviews recently of the X30/LAIV/and Dayzee with Sparkos. Geshelli aren’t exporting to the UK yet so that went off the list. I managed to find a couple of reviews with the X30 versus the LAIV and it seems the X30 pips the post., although no doubt both sound very good. I get the impression that the X30 has something special. I’m hoping it’s going to sound much better than my WIIM Pro Plus 😬. Always a bit tricky knowing who to purchase it from in the UK. Although it’s on Amazon they are effectively just advertising it for a couple of Chinese distributors/shops. It was cheaper to go direct to one of them with free shipping and a Chinese New Year discount. The problem with the publics views on such places is you read both good and bad so you can’t win. I didn’t really have a choice and so hope it arrives in a perfect condition and stays that way. Many thanks for all your reviews 👍.
Thx for this kind of video.
A nice idea to make the follow up reviews after many months.
I watched today your reviews of X30 and X26 III, which would you pair with my old B&W CM10S2?
Thx for all your videos, always a pleasure to hear your description and feelings about the gear you try!
for CM10s2 I would choose X26 III personally, thanks
Great review! Thank you for showing the confidence. I have narrowed down this one to upgrade from the 'Chord Qutest'. I was in a dilemma if I may consider the 'Chord Hugo TT 2'. So, I was looking for validation.
It's a great option and you won't be disappointed.
Thx for the x30 update
Would like a full comparaison with x26 iii could be verry interesting for us to know your opinion about these incredible dac.
Please see in my X26 III review: th-cam.com/video/Y581_fYIzH8/w-d-xo.html
Thank you verry much.I Just finish watched great review as always
I've this DAC and I can confirm Tharbamar's opinion, the sound is pure and so rich in details but keeping the sound organic. What I dislike is the volume attenuator, it's slow and at low volume the sound loses some body... I've chosen to pair it with a Holo Serene KTE preamplifier and it turned out to be a perfect match. But it don't always need to cost much money, I wanted to add an even more 3D/bigger soundstage and added a tube buffer. Douk Audio makes a cheap one (T8PRO) with balanced in and outputs, an usable 7 band equalizer, replaceable opamps. I changed them for Sparkos dual discrete Opamps SS3602, also a linear PSU and very good tubes Shuguang CV181-Z Teana (an adaptor is needed). For me it's simply endgame, it's a wonderfull DAC!
Thank you for sharing your experience.
@@Pierre-Leloup my good friends what is your recommendation for $500 or under I was thinking RAW -DAC 1 SMSL WITH AKA CHIPS. What’s both your opinions thanks for the help in advance.
Hi, RAW-DAC1 is one of the very nice DAC you can have for the money as of right now, thank you
I am delighted to see a new video of the X30
Does the memory card slot on the back provide an improvement (internal high-speed quality) than the external connectivity?
At this level of comparison maybe you should try, Mastering grade like the Lavry Quintessence
When I try to use with SD card it doesn’t show up on my computer, maybe Celware3.0 is needed.
I have the Gustard A26 - excellent DAC
It is indeed.
I have three dac, Gustard X26 pro, Audio-Gd master 7 and Metrum amethyst, Audio-Gd is the best, the sound is very natural and dynamic on my system.
Thank you for the review. I currently have an Eversolo DMP-A10 also going to an Accuphase E-4000. I was wondering what differences in sound signature do you hear when comparing the internal DAC in the A10 to the Gustard X30?
I had both A10 and X30. The X30 Dac plays on another Level. It is not even close. For me the A10 sound not natural and clear in the mids and highs. Bassperformance and stereo Image was good, but the X30 outperforms the A10 in all areas. The Software of the A10 is great. The only think i miss on the X30 very much. Both together A10 as Streamer only had less resolution over USB then the internal renderer with mconnect, bubbleupnp. So i sold the A10 and looking for a Streamer only solution.
@@neo4bremen Thank you for the feedback.
Thank you for your input which I totally agree with you.
You right. The Dac is very very good. I have it too. connected to Quad amplifier with Ricable Invictus cables
Nice 👍
Thanks for the display setting tip. Have you tried the signal inversion setting?
Do you meant to say XLR phase?
I agree with you. This DAC continues to impress me with its sound quality. At the moment I use the IIs connection but I am interested in connecting the USB connection from the Eversolo A8. I'm also considering purchasing the Gustard U18 DDC to place between the two to see if I can squeeze out even more X30 goodness. What do you think, is this a good path to follow? Thanks for your review. Originally posted in the Topping review by accident. Sorry!
Hi not problem, I would highly recommend to stick with i2S connection which is superior in noise control compare to USB interface, thank you.
Got this paired with a Rivo Primo front end... Tidal never sounded better in my system. This is my end DAC. there maybe better DACS but I'm not will to shell out more $$ for a miniscule improvement
If your interested in getting rid of vibrations get rid of your ikea equipment stand and get a well built stands
FYI
1. It’s a custom built-in stand.
2. Anchor on Concrete Floor and Wall.
Merci beaucoup
Avec plaisir
Apparently it doesn't sell well?
I'm just keeping my promise from original review 6 months ago.
The price is right? You are my man and I love your videos, but your out of touch with. Normal society, my good friend here in America.🇺🇸
I understand It's a relatively expensive DAC but I find it a lot of value compare to five figure DACs that I audition. (BTW: my favorite is Esoteric Grandioso D1X SE)
here is a few highlights why Price is right,
1. Quad Balanced DAC.(High-End Chips)
2. Custom Oven Temperature Controlled Crystal Oscillator.
3. Separate Dual power supply for digital and analog stages.
4. FPGA and Analog Devices Chips Programmed to get the best performance out.
5. Each Channel have its own grounding spot for better noise control etc.,
Thank you.
My original review.

Tha man who listens DAC's but in th most of the sistems ain't much difference there will be a time when we will change the DAC and the Streamer every year, because of model 1 ,model 2 pro, model 3 pro max etc. and prices now are a joke for the empty super heavy chassis! good luck people... waiting for next model
