You missed the part where Fuches panics, tries to take off outside the supermarket, and accidentally backs the car into a police car, but he can't run because he's superglued to the steering wheel. 😂
Much of the time when I hear him delivering dialogue, I can’t help but also picture Bill Dautreive from King of the Hill in my head, since that’s one of the longer roles that he’s played, and the one I most remember him for, and which I most strongly associate his voice with- probably because Bill’s voice is basically just Stephen Root’s regular speaking voice but just a little bit more “dopey” and slower on certain words , also a little more inflection both up and down (especially when he’s excited for asking a question), and with a little more of an emphasis on the Southern accent since Bill is a native Texan (unlike his sus, Yankee neighbour, Hank…) I’m sure Stephen Root, the actor, probably has very mixed feelings about that phenomenon, and sometimes probably wishes that people wouldn’t just always know him as “Bill”, especially when he’s trying to play a serious character. Type casting is a thing for a reason though, I guess. Either way, I was really happy and even more stoked for the show once I saw that he was also in it, in addition to Bill Hader and Henry Winkler, whom I both also adore. I must say though, and I dunno if this was intentional or not, but aside from the tattoo, a little more muscle, and not as deep of a receding hairline, I thought that in the scene when Fuches gets out of jail, the way done up, wearing the white wife-beater shirt and with his hair slicked back; I think that’s in the scene itself it totally achieves the intended effect. He looks like a man who’s determined for vengeance,….. buuuut I also think that’s it’s the closest he’s ever come to resembling Bill in real life (I guess maybe now that he’s older too, he’s closer to the same point in Bill’s life which the show portrays- side note: Mike Judge is also starting to catch up, appearance-wise, lol). Go back, watch that scene with Bill in mind, and tell me that doesn’t at least look a little like him (or at least gives off some “Bill vibes”, lol). It was convincing enough for me to the point where I even thought like, “Shit, if they ever did a live action KOTH they already have the best possible Bill, both physically and aurally. Literally all they’d have to do is just shave his head a bit at the front (or do a partial bald cap), and either have him gain a few pounds or use prosthetics/padding if health is a concern and he doesn’t want to go method with it. Lastly, I suppose some skin tanner would complete the whole image, because the only other difference between the two is how sun damaged Bill’s skin appears to be. Seriously though, he could pull off the look, and you have the additional benefit of it also being the original voice actor too. (Someone get on this, stat!😂) Also, to be fair to the late, great Johnny Hardwick, if his TH-cam videos were anything to go off of, I think he could’ve done a good live-action Dale as well if he fully committed to the role and got the look right. It’d be more-or-less the same thing as with Stephen, you wouldn’t have to do too much really (like Bill, he would’ve had to either just shave the hair on top or do the bald cap, and then it’s just getting the outfit right). And I guess if we’re doing fantasy casting here, if Mike Judge either lost some weight and grew his hair out a bit (or used a blonde buzz-cut style wig) he could do Boomhauer. OR, if he *gained* some weight instead, wore a wig and square frame glasses he could maybe even play a decent Hank as well, who knows? lol🤷♂️ I think I remember hearing something about them actually designing some of the characters to match their voice actors slightly. Regardless of whether that’s true or not, as I think about it more, I realize that obviously Brittany Murphy would’ve made an excellent Luanne as well. Same when it comes to Kathy Najimy and Peggy. Besides the timing, logistics (oh, and also ignoring the little detail that a number of these people have since passed away), if they wanted to explore the wider world of Arlen outside of the residents of Rainey St., there’s also a few characters I can think of where the fact that they’re voiced by the same person could make things even more complicated. Like Buck Strickland for example, or the aforementioned Mike Judge debacle. Unless they did some kind of split-screen/CG camera trickery and/or using body doubles, and have some ppl play dual roles (á la “Dead Ringers”, or Eddie Murphy’s “Nutty Professor”). To paraphrase Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic Park; I’m not saying they *should* do it, just that it would be possible. Albeit prob a real pain in the ass though.😂 The only person I can really think of who’d get kinda screwed in all of this (and whom I’d feel bad for if this wasn’t just a hypothetical/daydream scenario), is Pamela Adlon as Bobby. I really don’t have any idea as to how they could do that, aside from having a child actor who most closely resembles him, and just overdubbing all of his dialogue with Pamela’s voice. Maybe she could do that, and they could give her another role to play in live-action, of which there are tons of options. Anything from being one of Bill’s cousins, or if they brought back Tammy (I’m just thinking of brunette characters, if she does her hair blonde then it could open up Nancy, Leeann Platter, Lucky’s sister, etc. Or any of the women who work at Strickland Propane. Nonetheless, I look forward to the revival next year… Oh, also I guess that show “Barry” is pretty good too, I hear…😂 (Before KOTH, I would’ve also heard his voice work in some other shows he did, like Beavis and Butthead, but back at that time I wouldn’t have known who he was, but then once he became successful as Bill, I could at least recognize that I’d heard that voice before somewhere but just couldn’t place it. Around the same time, I also got to learn what he actually looked like, through his live-action roles, like in “Office Space” and “Dodgeball”, finally being able to put a face to the voice I’d heard all those years.)
Ronny is played by Daniel Bernhardt, a stuntman/actor with an extensive career, including a cancelled Mortal Kombat series from the 1990s, the lead in Future War (an instant MST3K classic,) and playing the lead in all the sequels to Blood Sport. His passing resemblance to a certain action movie star has earned him the nickname Jean Claude Gosh-Darn.

This episode is one of the funniest things ever to go on TV - I was in tears by the end of it I was laughing so hard. Loach getting the spinning back kick to the noggin was the best...and Lilly trying to eat Fuches...
If this show had been garbage, but it still gave us this ONE episode, it would have still justified its existence. But alas, the whole show is brilliant, and in a few years it will gather a cult following, long after it finished. What a rollercoaster.
I don't know how this show isn't talked about enough. It was a masterpiece in so many aspects. Its only sin was to be broadcasted when Succession was on the hype.
I love how Barry has no idea how recognisable he is due to his blood beard because all that time he has been too busy to have been looking in a mirror.
I love how these kinds of weird risky stand-alone episodes one off episodes have become more common over the past decade or so. We got this, fly from breaking bad, pine barrens from the sopranos, beard after hours from Ted lasso, etc.

“How Do I Breathe Without You” when they pan to Ronnie in the store is hilarious and I can’t believe you left out when he killed the cop with a single kick to the head😭
They need to make a movie with her or something where she gets revenge on Fuches. I would totally watch some kind of spin off. They left that end totally open.
