Albert is a complete antithesis to Barry. He’s the portrayal of what Barry would’ve looked like without Fuches and if he walked the straight and narrow. The real reason Albert was so pissed at the end is because Barry is not honest, Barry is wasting away the potential that he’s gained from the military; whereas Albert used it. Albert can’t stand the fact that Barry went down the path he went down, and destroyed the lives he’s destroyed, instead of saving lives like what Albert aspires to do.
How can you talk about Barry and "potential" without talking about trauma or mental instability. Take a look at any given VA and see what a system does with an endless supply of brutalised bodies trying to stick to the straight and narrow. Barry would be just as dangerous in LE given his deep rage issues. Albert is not pissed off because of some mythical potential, he is pissed because Barry is a serial killer who the system spat out and ignored despite every sign pointing to danger.
Albert literally is so much different from Barry. You're delusional. Barry has rage issues and extremely sharp shooting abilities, something Albert didn't have in those scenes
Stephen Root once again showing why he’s one of the greatest character actors in the industry. He plays subtle, manipulative evil so effectively. This entire monologue perfectly showcases why Fuches is such a destructive force that destroys the lives of everyone he encounters even if it’s just to ruin the life of one. The dude is a full blown narcissist (as are most of the characters in this show) and can’t handle Barry being able to function and have a decent life without him. That’s why he’ll do anything to ruin Barry’s life as well as drag countless other people down with him just to satisfy his ego. Fuches’ and Barry’s toxic, co-dependent relationship is one of the most complex elements of the show. Just fantastic writing/directing all around.
It's a tactic more people could learn if they had the proper inclination, and instruction. Take a question aimed at you, diffuse it with a couple statements to derail the person, then ask a few well targeted questions of your own to wind them up. It's like verbal Aikido.
Albert used to love watching Barry kill maybe he offers Barry a job as a government assassin 😂 this show loves to do some ridiculous stuff so I could see Albert wanting to help Barry as opposed to catching him since Barry helped him but who knows 🤷♂️
The cops are so dumb in this show it's hilarious. The police chief just rambling on and on about the Raven and the female detective is so freaking clueless. It makes me miss Janice, and wonder was she the only good detective in the show besides Albert and John?
(This isn’t an original thought, I’m just here to give praise) Stephen Root’s face acting is absolutely amazing. You know he knows who he’s talking to without saying a single word. Absolutely enthralling performance.
I think Albert is going to play a bigger role in season 4. Those cameras were off in that room but Fuches ended up in jail (as is Barry). I don’t recall an actual reason why Fuches is there. I wouldn’t mind a few episodes focused on Albert.
Obviously Barry deserves jail, but I also think he deserves the satisfaction of seeing Fuches behind bars as well. What Fuches did to Barry doesn't negate the evil Barry has done by himself, but it also doesn't mean Fuches gets to go Scott free
Damn it man! Stephen Root doesn't get nearly the credit he deserves. To think Milton from Office Space could pull off such a villainous role....man's got some range
Fuches really could have had the “normal” life Barry longs for, or something like it. He could have stayed in Chechnya with the goats and girlfriend, seemed like a peaceful life and he kind of liked it. Then he had another chance with the Spanish-speaking family in the hills (that was hilarious - more goats and a young woman who seemed bizarrely attracted to Fuches, a grizzled, grumpy middle-aged man with seemingly no money or prospects). Both times he threw it away for the chance for revenge against Barry.

Fuches is right, how the hell would someone who never saw combat have ptsd? How was that never overlooked?
I know if I'm ever giving a dark, manipulative story to a law enforcement officer, I will only be drinking a cold Pepsi lol
It's a tactic more people could learn if they had the proper inclination, and instruction. Take a question aimed at you, diffuse it with a couple statements to derail the person, then ask a few well targeted questions of your own to wind them up. It's like verbal Aikido.
Whoever chose the music for this scene at the very end...you're a goddamn legend.
Albert used to love watching Barry kill maybe he offers Barry a job as a government assassin 😂 this show loves to do some ridiculous stuff so I could see Albert wanting to help Barry as opposed to catching him since Barry helped him but who knows 🤷♂️
Another "WHAT?!" moment
@@MrAatami see you get it 😂 they love doing those and after crazy shitshow I honestly think anything can happen in that universe lol
The cops are so dumb in this show it's hilarious. The police chief just rambling on and on about the Raven and the female detective is so freaking clueless. It makes me miss Janice, and wonder was she the only good detective in the show besides Albert and John?
(This isn’t an original thought, I’m just here to give praise)
Stephen Root’s face acting is absolutely amazing. You know he knows who he’s talking to without saying a single word. Absolutely enthralling performance.
bro this guy voices for martin mertens from adventure time, no wonder why he plays this character soo well he makes anyone hate him
The way Jame Liao delivers that “I am” is heartbreaking
i love how they timed the soda crack
Finale Prediction. Fuches ends up taking in Barry's offspring starting this all over again.
No
Albert's gotta be on his way to Sharon's house to protect Barry
Obviously "The Raven" is the man everyone is looking for
No idea what his name is, but the actor who plays Fuches really knows how to exude presence without even moving. He just burns a whole in the screen.
Stephen Root. Brilliant character actor who has countless film/tv credits to his name.
I just picture albert in the casino talking about how fat cats run everything before being sucked out into space.
I’m still trying to figure out who earns the title of Best On Screen Scumbag.
Stephen Root or Wayne Knight (Newman from Seinfeld)
I think Albert is going to play a bigger role in season 4. Those cameras were off in that room but Fuches ended up in jail (as is Barry). I don’t recall an actual reason why Fuches is there. I wouldn’t mind a few episodes focused on Albert.
Always falling for the soda trick 🤣
“I haven't seen him since he stormed out of the interrogation room and cocked his gun in front of us. I'm sure he's out seeing the sights.”
The actor who plays Fuches is so good
My god he looked so smug when he took a sip of that Pepsi 😂
The way he got so mad so fast at 0:57 is fucking hilarious.
Obviously Barry deserves jail, but I also think he deserves the satisfaction of seeing Fuches behind bars as well.
What Fuches did to Barry doesn't negate the evil Barry has done by himself, but it also doesn't mean Fuches gets to go Scott free
That’s the Raven
0:54 "Crazy ninja kid chewed your cheek off?" I love that this joke is double layered.
1:56 the exact moment Fuches switches
Damn it man! Stephen Root doesn't get nearly the credit he deserves. To think Milton from Office Space could pull off such a villainous role....man's got some range
Stephen Root aka Fuches will always be Bill Dauterive from king of the hill to me. Idk why

No logo on the Pepsi can and the sandwich has a different placement in this take.
It’s Kenji…. the best sake brewer in Tsushima!!
Albert’s reaction after Barry snipes 3 from 700 yards is incredible hahaha
Fuches really could have had the “normal” life Barry longs for, or something like it. He could have stayed in Chechnya with the goats and girlfriend, seemed like a peaceful life and he kind of liked it. Then he had another chance with the Spanish-speaking family in the hills (that was hilarious - more goats and a young woman who seemed bizarrely attracted to Fuches, a grizzled, grumpy middle-aged man with seemingly no money or prospects). Both times he threw it away for the chance for revenge against Barry.
"You know how I got this scar?!"
Fuches just "activated" that dude 😅
I dare you to mention a show right now that is as good as Barry.
The boys
@@Foggymist399Not the latest seasons (2 and 3). Apparently they’re deviating from the comics.
@@Foggymist399 Honestly,The Boys is exhausting to watch sometimes.I'll just be watching an episode and waiting for it to end. I haven't seen season three yet but I just feel like there's something missing in that show. Barry is definitely the better of the two imo
Better Call Saul
@@MrSchiz tight tight tight
I feel genuinely dumb asking this but I still don't understand what's Fuches' endgame was with this conversation... Could someone help me out?
His end game is to get Barry dead or in jail, fuches fears nothing
Imagine a series that follows all of this from Albert's pov
Disappears the moment season 4 starts.
This is probably Stephen Root's best acting in a long time
In order to prevent bullet setback, I might advocate for taking down the pistol.
Reassembling it with a round in the chamber.
Not cycling the action to load the chamber prevents setback, especially if repeatedly chambering.
Especially with 357 SIG's short neck (0.150 inches).
Just a thought.
Never know when you might really really want 14+1 instead of 13+1 capacity.

Funny how nobody mentions this, this is how the rules MUST apply to everyone equally, regardless of what you've done or who you are, if not you have a perfect metaphor for our society today.
I know there is far more to pick up on than this particular detail but why do almost all actors do this mouth action between 3:04 and 3:07 when they drink something, regardless of whether its water, soda or juice. They act as if they're drinking the hardest moonshine ever created, it's so dramatic.
Fuches just sucks as a criminal, gives up everything whether he means to or not once he gets caught.
You know it’s funny I think it was meant to be sign for him to get multiple chances to let go of revenge but now there’s no going back and I think Barry will kill fuches and he better because he deserves die more than of Barry’s victims
There will be no closing of that drawer.
The guy who played Albert was great
Swear I almost thought Fuches was gonna try and convince Albert to kill himself like the cop told him earlier😭
Fuches wasn't even lying...
Superb!
Ryan O reilly escaping oz becoming fuches hahaha the manipulators of HBO
Stephen Root is a genius.
