He looks like the type of guy to annoy your protagonist every chance he gets and worse of all, always tries to hang out with you. Your character always gets rids of him but somehow he always returns and calls it friendship. Admirable but annoying.
For the first 2 seasons Hanks is probably the most moral character in the entire show. He knows the difference between right and wrong and shows alot more loyalty than Barry.
