Perfect diagnostic flow! I am a technician too. Was searching for VW TSi no throttle response. Lets check the sensor grounds on a 2012 VW Passst 2.0 TSi that has no throttle response.
My problem is different.got a 2003 1.8 turbo gls..it shows a green foot on my dash board and a epc light on.but i change the thermostat and put and new fan coolant switch and also a coolant senser on it ..on my gauges its not goin over 190 which is middle ways...the coolant still gettin hot ..i need your opinion.the only thing i didnt replace is the water pump..so say could be a head gasket but there is no milky color in my oil..i need help..
Also could you walk me through something? I get the same codes as you (p1631 and p1634) we’ve replaced the o2 sensors and wire, and ecu checked the wires and still no throttle, replaced the throttle pedal assembly any help goes a long way
Im having a similar issue, my 04 jetta with a 1.8t I was driving down the road and it just started idling around 1250 and there was no throttle response, i turned the car off to turn it on to see if it was tripping and the car hasnt turned on ever since
what is there to follow up? I think we fixed the car in this video if I recall correctly. We pay a tech service for access to wire schematics and other factory service info. Services like Pro-demand (Mitchell), All-Data and Identifix are the ones commonly used by auto shops. You can also get schematics from your Bentley shop manual or even haynes manuals.
Hey did you end up fixing this car? I kinda have the same issue.. and I believe my ecu is fried as well. Do you have any recommendations on where I can order a new one?
Used ones are stupid cheap especially at pick and pull. Immo is a problem if yuour using a used one, though. I dont remember who I sent the computer to.
Hello: I wanted to ask if there is a situation to reset the brake light After replacing the brakes back and forth with the 2019 Alfa stelvio No glitch scanner and thanks in advance
I have sometimes no respond to the pedal, maby once a month and only for a few seconds and everything is working fine again, any ideas? I had a P 0130 o2 sensor code for a while but bank 1 (wideband) sensor 1, but its gone after cleaning the throttle and a new ignition coil and cable.
Take the throttle body apart one or more of the contact filaments on the potentiometer are crossing paths...ask me how i know ive got an A4 drive by wire and it wouldn't complete the throttle relearn because of it
Great walkthrough & explanation of circuit & cause of failure. That car is almost mint... of course he's gonna get it fixed!
Maybe I should have just recommended the computer and not been thorough. Looks like customer is gonna fix it so there will be a follow up video.
@@CoolAirVw Looking forward to it!
I cleaned my throttle body with cleaner, but I still get the epc light. So it’s either the pedal control or throttle body right if epc light comes on?
Great video! Great diag procedures! Thanks!

i'm glad it helped. thanks for watching and commenting.
Absolutely like ur video! Thanks you so much made my life so much easier can’t thank you
Wow, great video. Gave a bit more to look at with my issue. The difference in the ECUs should only be narrowband o2 and wideband O2 btw
thanks
Excellent stuff bro
thanks
Awesome video!
Where in missouri are you located ? I'm also in missouri.Interested on bringing my car by sometime
Very good job.

Fabulous video. Really informative. That was a seriously unloved car! 🥴
Ah, shucks! Thanks for watching. Turns out customer is gonna have us fix it! Look for a follow up.

there is no diagnostic info in what you posted for me to advise you.

what does "ECU checked" mean?
@@CoolAirVw sorry I meant replaced
No wait I’m missing a comma between ecu and checked. As in weaved looked for shorts all over and couldn’t find any
P01634 should either be the TPS or ECU
Many thanks! Would be nice to see the way you delete the immo! Thanks again!
I have some video's on that. .

Did it start running again
I have a same problem on passat b5.5, 1.8 t, you can see it on my video. I dont know if i have bad Ecu or not. How do i recognize it ?
Hey did you post a follow up? And where could I get my hands on those schematics

That POOR Jetta!
It was eventually put all the way back together and was ok.
I think I might have detected just a tinge of sarcasm in your tone while describing the post manufacture engineering that was done on the car....
"post manufacture engineering" ! Maybe.
Mine does the same thing randomly , I turn it off and gold throttle to the floor start car and we're good ... ??
Is triggering some codes?

Never heard of that car before. Were in USA

Good to know!
I'm haveing the same problem but I dont have a epc light on and no check engine light it cuts out randomly the car is a 1.8t gti
Take a look at my other throttle related video. there is different info in that video and maybe it will be closer to your problem.
must live in a bad hood hiding that hood cable like that..
yup.
Anyone help im having same issue, but on testing im having 12volt, on pin 1 and pin 4 and i dont have grounds, all other wires are 5volys
Take the throttle body apart one or more of the contact filaments on the potentiometer are crossing paths...ask me how i know ive got an A4 drive by wire and it wouldn't complete the throttle relearn because of it
Did your car have the 02 heater voltage short to the 02 sensor ground?
