Something most women in her position never do. From the sounds of it, she was cautious after leaving as well. People can become blinded by love, we can't judge people for that. Domestic abuse is complicated. There is no true support & protection in place for victims. You would have to leave everything & everyone including your family. Get secure/secret personal info & phone numbers. You would have to go into complete hiding & you may still not be safe. Police CANT do anything before something happens. Bcs there is always a lack of proof. Putting the victims life in MORE danger. No matter how much danger they are in by staying, it's nothing compared to the danger a victim faces when she tries to leave. Most are killed when they try to leave. Domestic abuse is complicated. There is no true support & protection in place for victims. You would have to leave everything & everyone including your family. Get secure/secret personal info & phone numbers. You would have to go into complete hiding & you may still not be safe.
Police CANT do anything before something happens. Bcs there is always a lack of proof. Putting the victims life in MORE danger.
No matter how much danger they are in by staying, it's nothing compared to the danger a victim faces when she tries to leave. Most are killed when they try to leave. Society does not offer proper protection or support. Making it impossible to just move on.
