- Ever since hooking up my Del Morino Flipper Super Flail Mower to my Kubota M4D-071, I can't get enough! I just keep finding things to mow. Today we're out at the shop, which is at the end of a business park of which we're the only occupied lot. Things are growing out of hand, so I'm looking to tame grass and shrubs up near the road in. Let's see how things go!

There's just something so satisfying about these videos.
Great demonstration on the versatility of this flair mower. Definitely a universal tool. I can't believe there was a tree growing in the road near the curb and gutter.
Yeah, place has been neglected for sure
Trees will grow almost anywhere. I've seen trees growing on a granite boulder. Trees and other vegetation will naturally split rocks up and slowly turn them into soil. If this business park was left to nature within ten years it would be completely overgrown and within one hundred years it would be a forest with bits of concrete, metal and gravel here and there.
I love watching the flail mower work. It is such a great attachment.
Definitely so, I love using them too.
Great demonstration of the capabilities. The drone footage is excellent.
I LOVE my flail mower!! I added a float function to the tilt so the mower can ride flat to the ground without messing with the lever all the time. You're braver than me though. I never would have tried that big tree. Thank you for showing me I can.
Haha, well I like to push the limits. Definitely bigger than what it's rated for, but what was the worst that could happen! 😂
It's no worse than what the state department guys do with their equipment along the state routes and it doesn't matter what state your in, they all this.
Courtney, this is another example of videos that provide invaluable information to help tractor owners make smart purchases. Oh, and kudos to your brother on the camera work. He’s probably one of the best TH-cam videographers out there.
True - GWT gets some great footage
Dang! I wouldn't have expected to cut trees that size down with that flail mower. That's pretty awesome!
Great video! This sells itself and we get to see the results
Appreciate it Vaughn!
Awesome demonstration. I love watching an implement being pushed to its limits. I wish I mowed enough to need a tractor mower, I’d certainly get a flail.
Municipalities have been using flail mowers for decades. They're awesome!
Heck yeah!
After watching this I need one! Great video!
Not even going to lie, that mower is legit! I was cringing the entire video waiting for the curb to explode! It’s sad that people don’t take care of their own property! Have a great Memorial Day Weekend. ALL GAVE SOME - SOME GAVE ALL! 🇺🇸
Awesome! Great video
I was issued a “cease and desist” order by my town for mowing and trimming a section of road that is joined to my property. It is literally never mowed by the town, so I started doing it a couple years ago. I haven’t mowed it in two years, and now there are saplings and ivy growing up and around the street signs. Garbage everywhere… and when I call the town to complain they tell me “we will get to it when we can…”.
Hahaha, they have been sitting on their a$$ planning on getting paid to do it later!
Great job Courtney. I've had to do that same thing to property that I didn't own because the other property owners and property managers didn't give a crap. My son in law is a farmer and he would mix me up a batch of weed killer that would kill all the weeds in the sidewalks and street for like 3 years. We use a gator with a spray tank on the back. Weeds in the concrete and asphalt drive me crazy.
Sometimes pride takes extra effort, and I also think you just like playing with all your toys! Hahaha I enjoy all your videos, and have learned a lot . Thanks!
Haha, you're right! Who says work can't be fun! Thanks for watching :)
Enjoyed the vid...and demo.....got me thinking g hard about a purchase.....but what I wanted to comment on was the banner and small screen of items....really liked the concept...easy to watch both you mowing.. and products... good idea...my .02...🚜👨🌾🚜🙏🙏
That's a pretty amazing mower.
Pretty incredible, fairly close to the same capability as the skid steer with mulcher, but only 50% of the price.
I just bought a maschio Terminator 200 and I can’t wait to try it out.
I have the same problem with my flail mower. Once its on the machine I just keep wanting to mow and mow. Compared to a mid-mount, it's easy to get into corners and stuff and isn't really harder to use than the mid mount. I couldn't spring for a Del Morino, though they look super nice. Got a chinese Betstco and I'm happy with it.
Great job, Courtney! Too bad the developer of the park doesn't see the value in keeping the place up. Maybe if they did, the park would be full, right? Is the park owned by the city of Paw Paw? Every time an Autumn Olive dies, and angel gets his wings! I really appreciate you not covering up the sweet sound of destruction with some annoying background music.
That setup is a beast! I wish I had a bigger tractor and could bid on grass-cutting at an interchange!!
You look like you are just having way too much fun. :)
That mower is pretty outstanding.
Great demo. I see you have a Kabota tractor matched up with the Flail mower you are demonstrating. I have a Kioti RX 6620 4x4 shuttle and I'm wondering what size flail mower would be suitable for my tractor.
Same mower would work for you, that is very similar in size, just a little less HP.
Wow that was incredible but I have to ask did you mess anything up on the cutter thanks love the video
That looks great, and it might help with the trash problem. People don't generally dump in well kept areas....
I see that it can be tilted up vertically, but can it be tilted down at like a 45 degree angle? For mowing the inside of a pond dam down to the water for instance.
Yeah, they can be tilted down 45 degrees too.
My Maschio ditch bank flail mower does!
Have you seen the Lane Shark cutter for the front of à tractor.
It is the fact that the majority of people who lack respect of other's property to throw their personal debris with little to no consequences for being responsible for proper removal/disposal. These are also factors the local government officials have a responsibility to stop and control. They're being paid. They should earn their salary.
It's tough, they'll do it in broad daylight. New piles sometimes arrive along the road during the work day. Brazen.
@@GoodWorksTractorswould this unit be suitable for a JD 3320? I am interested in the full hyd adjustable models. I still need to add the extra hyd functions on the tractor but I think it will be well worth the cost. I have a brush hog right now and will likely sell it and get the flail mower.
@@johnclark8631 This particular Series is too large. For a hydraulic side shift, you could use the 62" Flipper: www.goodworkstractors.com/product/flipper-side-shift-flail-mower/
For a hydraulic shift and tilt, I'd recommend the 52" Funny Super: www.goodworkstractors.com/product/del-morino-funny-super-brush-mower/
Your local council (or whatever you call them over there) should contract you to take care of the business park landscape. The video is a perfect demonstration for a prospective buyer of the mower.
That’s sweet. Nice work too
Thanks, I was satisfied with the results
@@GoodWorksTractors beautiful machinery keep up the good work!
Impressive. What type of blades come on these?
You are using it hard and may need a few new hammer blades after this gig !! I sure like my Super Centurion 158. Thanks for the great demo
Do you go over features and comparison to rotary cutter (bush hog) in any of your videos? I can't find it.
12:17 yikes, almost needed a new drone!
What is the smallest tractor you can use with this flail mower?
This particular series is suited for a utility tractor like the one you see here. We sell smaller versions for smaller tractors. Send an email with your tractor info and we can provide the best match, thanks!
@Good Works Tractors what horsepower is the tractor you were using?
71HP at the engine, 60HP at the PTO. You need the machine weight for this too...1,200 lbs that moves around dynamically needs to have the machine firmly planted to the ground
@Good Works Tractors thanks trying to buy an acreage
Were those Y or hammer blades on that mower? Thanks for showing what the flail mower is capable of doing.
These are hammer blades, I am leaning in favor of hammer blades for nearly everything anymore...even finish cutting.
Looks great. Huge improvement. But that poor fiberglass yard marker.... wrong place wrong time.
Haha, I didn't even notice the yard marker. There was a big steel pipe laying in the weeds by a light pole early on in the video. I missed that one!
I've seen the yard marker to no harm to your equipment But somebody wants a new 1 It'll be a cheap replacement.
I see that you choose your largest tractor to power that mower. Nice job but how will it do on an lx2610?
For that model, you want one of these two below.
www.goodworkstractors.com/product/offset-flail-mower/
Need two remotes for this one: www.goodworkstractors.com/product/del-morino-flipper-super-brush-mower/
Not sure if I missed it in the video, are you using hammers or knives?
Ok what is the size of the kubota. is this comparable to an RX7320?
You should get a weed brush and sweeper for the front loader u could do the weeds by the kerbs
What brand is it?? I like it!! How much?
I like to know how big is that tractor Kubota?
Did you get rid of the couch and tires too? You're right that it looked pretty bad when came to pick up my flail mower.
Yep, that's gone too!
What would be the recommended horse power and tractor size for a flail mower like this?
Bigger the better. My guess is an 80HP tractor is the go. I think this particular Flipper would be too big for my MX5200, big as in unbalanced. There are smaller ones around, I'd probably go for one that is less than 1.5 meters long.
This is your neighbor jeff........sometimes scooping the rocks out with your bucket helps avoid those issues😊😊 Sorry to hear that happened!!!!😢
Hlo bro i am from India Telangana
Gotta get yourself a sprayer and herbicide along the curb to save the asphalt.
That's exactly what I said to my brother
As one of the “poors” and a first time owner of acreage, there is nothing more satisfying as watching a machine like these flair mowers or a forestry mulcher absolutely obliterating things that usually take hours of backbreaking labor for someone with a cub cadet and some hand tools to accomplish.
Hopefully you'll sell 1 or 2 of them because of the great demo in this video to get a cash-back for your volunteer work. Or you learn knowing the owner of this property when charging you for letting you work for demonstration with your tools... Just kidding... Well done!
Haha, yeah, my luck would be I get in trouble for doing this. I'll take that chance to tidy it up a bit!
Grandpa always told us "You get what you pay for". But damn, what about this is $5k more than the competition?
Can't stand people that throw trash out of their cars, dump stuff just anywhere, whatever. In some cases, I can see their reasoning. In our county, it's a $15.00 tipping fee for up to 6 bags of household garbage, and $15 dump fee plus $55 a ton. Due to poor management, it's expected the landfill will reach capacity in 2027, which was about 10 years earlier than predicted. As a result, people are dumping garbage because they can't (or won't) pay the tipping fees. The previous county I lived in, they had a number of compactor sites around the county, there was no charge to use them, they recycled glass, plastic, cardboard, motor oil, and some other stuff. Dumping at the landfill was $12 minimum and $20 a ton. MUCH better managed, and we seemed to have less littering in that county.
Crazy thing is that there is dump a mile from our place, it's really cheap there too. They kind of just look at what you've got and throw out a number, I've heard folks negotiate the price. However, I don't think that many people know about it. It's out of the way on a country road in the woods.
In South Carolina we have collection stations which are paid for with our taxes. They take almost anything and the stuff they don’t take we can take to the main dump twice a year. I like to call that toxic waste day. I haven’t paid for curb side trash pickup in over 21 years since it’s so easy to take it myself. A great setup and certainly cuts down on people dumping their trash on the side of the road.
@@jeffleach2668 Interesting. And that's on a state basis, not county by county? In GA, each county handles their own trash. Some smaller counties contract to other counties to handle waste management, but I don't know how that's paid for. The county I'm in now, you can contract a private curb side pickup company, but I go into the previous county about 2 times a month, and I just (ab)use the compactor sites there :)
The council dump where my farm is charges $25 to dump household rubbish. It is such a rip off. People on farms don't have garbage collected every week like they do in town and are expected to dispose their own rubbish. Its amazing there isn't more rubbish laying around the polace.
Very cool but the price is unreal!! There are just as good flails out there that do all the same stuff for half the price. Great video though. Thank you.
No there are not…unless you want Chinese. Of course there are smaller, lighter duty units for less money. We sell those too. Nothing in this class is half the price. Please send me all the links to non-Chinese products for half the price.
Nice mower, but too big for my tractor
Plenty of smaller models to fit small tractors
And too expensive for my budget.
Need to weed wack the street😂😂
They call him Flipper.
Ha, Flip!
@@GoodWorksTractors faster than lightning.
That is such a good mower. The PTO shaft length is bonkers. How much do they cost in the USA? Last year I bought a finish mower, I should have bought a flail mower.
@@kdegraa It's a pricey bugger. This one is around $12,000 USD.
Hey!
Let the band go home so we can hear the machine working...
lol ya and your not suppose to lawn mow 3” sapling with a craftsman T310 25hp riding lawn mower but I do. And it does it alllll the time. I’ll run over literal 8ft high 3” thick sapling and bam bam it’s cut up granit every 4 months I change blades but the dang thing does it! So hell ya!!!! A damn 30-40 k diesel freakin tractor better cut a dumb ass 6” tree with 30-50 pto hp dealership was like o no a bush hog can’t cut sapling I rolled my eyes and said a blade that 4 times the thickness of my riding mower can’t cut 1” saplings?
Expect to see more lack of upkeep as the economy continues to tank. Lived through it to many times in my life.
Good thing you have a cab otherwise you;d look like Pigpen from Charle Brown by the time you were done.
I’m hearing you’re not supposed to mow with a flail mower in reverse close to the ground…….yea or nah?!?!
TL;DW
Not sure what that means, but thanks for the comment!
Its no sense of respect or care of anything makes you wonder if they live that way at home
I want one
