I can‘t wait to try this, but one thing I would recommend is washing the fabric first so that the pores of the fabric are open and more receptive to the wax..just sayin‘-:-)
Love these! I have some they work great and seem to breath more and keep veggies fresher. Love the bread idea. The red cat fabric probably resisted the wax as you found because manufacturers put various kinds of “sizing” on fabric; it’s somewhat like starch in that it makes material look crisper and nicer in the store. Just pre wash fabric in hot water with some kind of soap or detergent
I'm not as crafty as you guys so I found some. The ones I bought we're Lescan wraps. I tried ones from BC that were on Dragons Den and they were okay. But the Lescan wraps work perfect. We don't use any plastic anymore. Thank you for sharing this video. It's made our life healthier!
Have been waiting with baited breath for this awesome video. The next batch I make I will add the resin and oil. I also as a sewer I prewash and dry new fabric, which removes any finish and also allows it to stabilize or shrink. As for melting my chunks of beeswax, I use a wide mouth slow cooker set on low. And I blot as well, and blot on another piece of fabric I will be using to make a wax cover.
Great project !I actually tried this yesterday and found a lot of pooling also so I will try the shirting fabric instead! Thanks for your tutorial be well ! Shared with friends
I just made my first batch of wraps. :-) I wanted to start with a small amount, just to make sure I like them before giving as gifts. I used an old double boiler, which melted everything perfectly. After I pulled the material out of the pot, I laid another piece of fabric on top (as recommended by others in the comments) then parchment and ironed. It completely absorbed the second piece of fabric with wax. I also saw in the comments that there is a curing time of a couple of weeks. How do you store them while they are curing? Thanks for the great video.
I saw a video that they can be stored on a recycled paper towel tube; just wrap it around like you would a paper towel. You could probably then put them on a paper towel holder. You can also use a PVC pipe cut to size, I would imagine, so that you can reuse the thing that you wrap it on, instead of the paper towel tube.
According to your formula above it works out to: beeswax 48% + resin 37% + jojoba 15%. Not sure if my pine resin is the same as yours. Mine is a solid stone/rock rather than powder. I had to increased the beeswax to 78% and reduced the resin to 7% because the resin just wouldn't all melt into the beeswax - it just stayed very 'gummy'. Dipped the fabric into the wax and find that it's still way too sticky to handle. Have you tried using carnauba wax instead of pine resin? I will try this tomorrow and see what happens!
Have you tried the beeswax, carnauba wax, jojoba combination yet? If so, how did it work out? Did you get good results? Any recommendations? I found food grade carnauba on Amazon but thought I 'd check to see if you had tried it yet.
This is a fantastic idea! I love the reusability of it, also with the the proper oils and the bees wax present these could be used in a pinch to wrap a small cut or abrasion.
These little 🐝gems are brilliant and beautiful!! What fun you both had making them. I've been wanting to find a good alternative to plastic and here it is. YAAY!! Thank you 🙏🏻😁 for sharing these with us and DOUBLE thanks for your gracious giveaway!! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 for a win!! 💜🎉🎀. I also shared it in FB and Instagram 👍🏻😁
Thanks for posting! I have always loved caring for our earth. I’m a pastry chef now and have been so conflicted because of excess use of plastic wrap. I’m loving this idea. I make bread and am very interested in trying it with my fresh loaves too
This seems like a great idea and I still have some wax leftover from our bees when I lived in Costa Rica. Sometimes the bulk of a container is too much and something like a bag or this is much better.
I'm so excited to try this! Thank you for your video and instructions how to create these wraps! I despise plastic wrap and now I never have to use it again!! I also shared your video on all of my social medias. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and I want to post on Instagram if I'm able! Thank you again! Blessings to you!
That's a wonderful idea! I've seen the wax papers that they sell in specialty websites and they are expensive to buy, so I was hesitant to purchase them. The ones that you made are beautiful! The patterns are so vibrant! Awesome job!
Love this. Mom in law once made some for me but I don't think she used resin and they were sooo stiff and just never worked.... I love the idea though. Sounds like this combo would work better. Thanks for sharing
Hi I’ve made these before with just the beeswax, what do the other ingredients add please ? Also what did you blot them with and do we have to wash the fabric first? I was worried about detergents or treatments on new fabrics.
In the beginning of your video, you spoke about making a "bag" for bread. I thought, immediately, that you might sew a bag or something to put your bread into, but sadly, that was not the case. I wonder if that would work? After waxing your cloth and allowing to cool, sew the seams and make sure they are sealed well with the wax mixture, maybe using an iron on the edges. Just a thought.
Great video. Thanks so much! 2 questions: (1) if I have extra wax mixture left over, can I reuse it? Can I just store it in the fridge and heat it up to make more wraps later? (2) also, is the jojoba oil necessary? I've seen videos where only bees wax is added and nothing else. Just wondering what the oil and resin do. THANK YOU! :)
+Rebekah Cotton the Jojoba oil is necessary in my opinion. I've tried other oils and they get really sticky. Beeswax makes a brittle not very pliable/clingy wrap on its own.
wow! These seem awesome. How do you clean them? We too are working on reducing plastic in our lives. I am curious to see if it keeps homemade bread. We just wrap our bread in a linen cloth and store it in the microwave. (Probably the only reason I haven't gotten rid of our microwave).
Heading to the craft store tomorrow with my niece. Should be a fun project. Last week the kids and I bagged up a bunch of gargbage at our local beach. I wish more perople would do the same. Thanks for sharing.
just shared this video on my Facebook page, not only did I think the wraps were cool, I wanted my family and friends to go check out your channel because I love your cooking videos and other fun and educational content you provide 😁I'm a new subscriber, but I have been watching your videos for a long time now. I just recently took the plunge to have a TH-cam account and subscribe to channels and start to comment. 💜
+Chicken Momee ahhh Momee, thanks for being here and speaking up, interacting with you subs makes it all worth while. Thank you for sharing the love. 💋💋
Shared on Facebook! Going to order some pine resin and get creative. Might even get one of my girls involved in the process😊I think they'll be great for school lunch. I hate plastic baggies, and sometimes canning jars just don't work. Thanks for creating another great video!
looked on amazon for the little tub of pine resin you presented, all i can find that looks exactly the same is pinon pine resin incense. (incense) is that what you are using?
HEY PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!! SO happy to have you back and puttin' up more cool & useful vids!!! I despise the use of plastic ANYthing. If I buy something in plastic, I get it into glass as soon as I get home. I'm really happy to learn about these re-usable wraps & can't wait to make some of my own. Of course, it would be WAY TOO COOL to actually have a part of YOU in MY kitchen!!! So ... I shared on FB, already a subbie & crazy bout ya... & liked. Looking forward to the next vid, as always. I sure did miss you!!! Love & prayers
question. was wondering if you can give ideas for what to make produce bags out of. thank you so much for these. how do we wash them and do they go rank? xoxo
You are lovely! I'm going to try this at home. I have a couple of questions. How do I melt the ingredients together? Do I put them all in the pot together? Also, wondering how do I clean the pan after? Or is it not usable again? I really don't want to mess this up. Thank you so much.
hi! what is the reason you use tree resin in the mix. i noticed other places selling food wrappers did not list pine tree resin. i’m not sure which ones to purchase. thanks, stacy
Thanks so much for doing this project with the pine rosin! I've been wanting to try it but didn't want to order a bunch of pine rosin without knowing if it was worth it.
I had to much trouble feeling extra resin on my hands after playing with my finished sheets, do you think im using too much resin or how long does it take for that to subside?
Very Cool P! I saw the ones you showed in a local store and was real excited about them... but that price tag... could pull the trigger. I will definitely be doing this. Hope I win too!
Yes, turmeric stains them, make a yellow patterned one and you'll be adding to the design. I rinse them with warm water. No, the max will melt if you microwave them.
I've missed you FreshP. Hello from middle England. Yay....I have been waiting for this video, looks great I hate using plastic wrap. Hmm wonder if I can buy pine resin? Off to go check. 😬
I am so excited to try this! Every time I buy and use Zip Lock bags or plastic wrap I feel guilty! Now I can feel better and protect my food! Thanks so much!
hello.... I am wanting to become a beekeeper. Do you know if there is any specific manner in which the bees need to be kept for wax vs honey?? or do we just wait to get both at various cycles? also how many gives is best to begin with?
Love these! We're at 120 degrees this week so I'll wait to try it! I'd love to win some of yours! I'm already a subscriber and I shared it on Facebook! Love how you shared your experience with the garbage in Indonesia and acknowledged that there have been great advances made with the use of some plastics. ❤️
It's the single use plastic that is so unnecessary. I carry a napkin and utensils in my car and don't buy water and try to remember to say no straw, no lid and the link, buy items in bulk, reuse bags but it's a daily choice to remain aware.
Hi, I am making these soon, for my local craft club. Quick question I have been researching why do you use resins, and jojoba oil? The majority of recipes call for beeswax only? What are the benefits thanks for the video! - Trish 😊
I thought I explained this in the video. The resin makes them pliable and stick, whereas beeswax is brittle. The jojoba softens the mixture, improving absorption.
Hi, thanks for sharing this video! I tried this using the iron method but found that the oil that I drizzle over leave behind a distinct oil stain. Any suggestion to correct this? Will brushing oil on the cloth lightly before adding the beeswax and resin help ?
I absolutely love this video. Thank you for sharing how to make these wraps. You're such a great teacher. I was wondering if you could provide the links to the tree resin that you have used. I tried to click the link you provided in the description, but it says the site is not available. Thanks!
These are really cool and clever, Corrin! I hate plastic wrap because it seems to only stick to itself and not what you want. I used shower caps for the longest time because they worked better and they could be washed and reused. But, these look so much cuter and easier to use! Thank you for sharing. I'd love to win a set, so I'm sharing on FB to all my sustainable minded and crafty friends!
The excessive use of throw away is amazing. I've tried replacing baggies with Velcro homemade bags but they didn't go over with evrrtyone Maybe these will be more accepted. Wish they could be see through through. Great idea!
Love your VDO - thank you so much for sharing! I have a couple of questions. Is pine resin the same as rosin? Can I use grape seed oil instead of jojoba?
I did fail to mention that the wraps will need curing for a couple weeks. This helps eliminate some of the stickiness. Please keep me posted as to your discoveries.
Thanks so much for this great how-to video. I made wraps today using powdered pine resin (from Amazon) and even with my wax/resin/oil mixture (small amount, not as large a batch as yours) on a double boiler on low/medium heat for 30 mins I couldn't get the resin to melt. It just formed a gooey blob at the bottom of my container, even though I was stirring consistently. I ended up scooping it out and using the mixture anyway. The finished sheets have plenty of tack, so I guess the small amount that did dissolve was enough. But do you have any recommendation for how to get my powdered resin to melt? Also...my finished wraps smell like the tree resin and I'm wondering if that is going to affect the food I wrap. Do your wraps smell like resin as well? I'm not sure what's normal! Thank you!
You're the second person to mention resin not melting. Mine had such a low melting temp so I have no idea what happened. I wonder if there's a dodgy seller on Amazon. The resin smell and the stickiness dissipates after a couple weeks of curing. I haven't noticed contamination.
OK thanks for your insight. I'll keep testing :) And do you have a recommendation for a specific type of resin to purchase? I tried your link but it doesn't seem to work anymore. Thank you!
Hmmm...that's interesting...the 1lb powdered pine gum rosin I bought on Amazon is from Diamond (I assume you're referring to Diamond G Forrest Products, LLC in Georgia) and it is shipped directly from Diamond. So maybe it's just a user mistake on my part. I added the wax/rosin/oil all together and heated it, but I'll try maybe melting the wax first and slowly adding the rosin and dissolving it in a few additions. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond! I really appreciate it.
This has to 🐝bee....🐝 the best idea. I just want to wrap my lunch, my snacks, my grandbabies food in this waxy 🐝bee..utiful🐝 creation. Thank you for sharing🐝🐝
Thank you for this, I really like the idea of these beeswax wraps. It is something we definatly have to try to make ourselves at home : ) A very happy and feelgood video as always, thank you for being you : )
What a great idea. I live in Denmark, and pine resin is not an item i Can easily get a hold of. I love being out in Nature with my dog, and it would be perfect for this. I do worry a bit about the wax melting and waxing everything it touches. What it the meltingpoint of the wax?
Hi there, thank you for the video - Id like to do some of these for xmas presents so I'm doing a lot of research. I'm wondering what the addition of pine resin adds? Most DIY videos do not use it. Thanks : )
Thanks as always Fresh P!!!! Can't wait to get my kitchen back to make this!! Sam uses plastic wrap like he holds shares in the company😳😔drives me crazy!!! Shared FB and private messaged friends in hopes of making it a ladies gathering (and I won't have a kitchen for two months...can't wait that long LOL). xo Grateful for all you do!
Hi Fresh Princess, I am an Indian living in the USA. If you have been to India, you might have faced the same issues with the garbage as you faced in the Indonesia. In India, we do not have the best ways lined up to recycle and garbage remains on the street side. When I came to the USA, I finally found ways to recycle, buy bulk at farmer's market and use homemade fabric bags. But, this did not help me to get rid of sneaky plastic being used in my daily routine. The sneaky plastic which had no obvious alternate. For example, plastic wrap, glass storage container's lids, airtight vacuum containers and finally all the kitchen appliances. You gave me the best solution for one of the above sneaky plastic problem. I am trying to avoid using plastic wrap at all costs. I could not see my ways to finally get rid of sneaky plastic even after trying really hard. This is the best way to fully avoid plastic wrap but not wrapping, as a technique, to store my food in a lidless container. Thank you so much for this video. I love to sew too. I will make sandwich baggies on this coming long weekend. Lots of love, PS: I fell in love with your channel when you posted your video of Mixed Berry Jam using Christine Ferber's Jam book. I follow it religiously and I also bought the book. 😊
+Jayshree Dave oh Love, I'm so glad you posted this and that you're here. I have been to northern India, I absolutely loved it. What an incredibly rich country/culture. You don't live in Oregon by any chance 🙏🏼 I'm so glad that these have solved a problem for you. I feel the same. They're great for wrapping things like celery and green onions in the crisper drawer as well. My love to you.
I may have missed the answer to my question in your video, please forgive me if you've already answered this. How do you clean the cloth after you've used it?
So happy to see more people being conscientious about each other and our planet, thank you for the best diy on this subject, well best of the 4 others I watched :-)
i liked the idea of dipping the material into the old pot , which is set aside for this purpose. very well presented and great idea about the old shirts which are normally a good thinnish cotton. thankyou so much. cheryl
Hi, we made these over the Christmas holiday and it was a sticky mess I’m afraid. We used 1.5 lbs (24oz) of beeswax pellets, 1 lb (16oz) of powdered pine resin and two 4 oz bottles of jojoba oil. They are way too sticky to use. They also didn’t drip very well, if we didn’t squeegee them with two chop sticks they would have been even thicker, this was definitely not a one person job. I have a lot of unusable wraps and have leftover material in the pot. I was wondering if there is a way to salvage these?
Where do you buy your ingredients?? My mom and I are making these this weekend, can’t wait to try your recipe😊 the link in you description Wasn’t working
I was wondering a few things... On the fabric that was a bit denser - could you potentially use the blotter and an iron to push the wax into the fabric with a bit of maybe freezer paper to protect your iron The next thought is a question of material Instead of pine resin could one use powdered myrrh for it has anti microbial properties and may offer some health benefits 🌸🎶 Please consider me for one of your crafted wraps Thank you for sharing your joy of creation ✨
I am not sure whether I am doing something wrong OT not but I can not find your recipe for the reusable plastic wrap. Can you possibly let me know what amounts of each item to use as well as where I might find pine resin in a store so I can make these tomorrow? ( no time to order online as I can not get shipping to Canada quick enough - I am not very patient lol) Thank you in advance for the recipe.
Hi, another question ~ would the measurements be the same with the powdered Pine Resin verses the gel kind you are featuring. For example if I'm using 1-1/4 cups of beeswax, would I add 1 cup of the powdered Resin? For the oil, would I add 1/3 cup? Thank you so much!!
Oh boy, I've gotta get one of these. I won't enter the contest though because I've already won a contest from you before, AND I already have the coolest gift ever from you too (besides your friendship I mean lol) I do have one question though...Do you happen to have any more of that love balm you made a few years back? That stuff is AMAZING and I've been out of it for so long. It is the best stuff in the world for dry splitting lips in the winter. Heals them up over night. I would be more than happy to purchase one of these wraps and a love balm and pay for shipping too of course. By the way, your friend Sue is really cute ;) (shh, don't tell anyone I said that though lol)
I think about 500 or so should hold me over for a few months lol. Seriously though, I think a couple would be wonderful. I save it and use it like it's made from gold, so I make it last a long time. There is no rush though, so whenever you make it next just let me know what I owe you for them, one of these wraps and the shipping and I'll send you the money. Thank you so much for making these videos. You've literally changed my life. I still go back to some of your very first videos whenever I want to make some of the recipes of yours :)
I have actually been looking into this as well, already bought the fabric!! so excited to see your "recipe". would be an honor to have some of yours in my kitchen!😍
Just starting my zero waste journey and these beeswax wraps are genius! I would love love love to try them out! Thank you so much for sharing your recipe.
Thanks! Nice to see you back. You're always missed. I love this idea. I've never taken the time to make them. I would love to have a set. I'm already a subscriber. Shared it to Facebook and Pinterest. Looks like you got home in time for the heat. Looks like it's just around the corner. :o)
Corrin, its the back story that took me deeper into your docuvideo. Just picturing you in a surfing environment, and then to have to shoo away a big wad of plastic, was of big concern to me. We all want a cleaner earth friendly environment. You offer, a way to step back from our overuse society, and the whole idea of crafting with materials you have that are handy is amazing. I have all the materials except the resin, and I am on the way to your store.
I've been wanting to make my own beeswax wraps. Thanks for this video, it's great. Have read all the comments and am curious if anyone has tried the beeswax, carnauba wax, jojoba oil combination. What were the results?
The environmental club at school is taking this on to teach our middle school students how to open a conversation about sustainability and share options (to maintain a positive, hopeful approach)! Thanks for the tips & tricks at the end~ we shared your video on google classroom as an instructive model. Happy 2020!
This project looks like a Ton of Fun! I just bought some reusable bags this weekend at The Container Store...'Blue Avacado' brand snack size bags. I am trying the 'eat less more often' dietary change. I am a lot less hungry, but there's a lot of leftovers to save. Thanks for the encouragement and the reminder to 'Waste Not!' : ) K
I can‘t wait to try this, but one thing I would recommend is washing the fabric first so that the pores of the fabric are open and more receptive to the wax..just sayin‘-:-)

Perfect idea Beth, then you don't waste a drop. i wish I'd have thought of that :D
You buy a used one at a garage sale to designate as your craft cooker.
FRESH PRINCESS What do you do if there is leftover melted beeswax in the pot?
I poured it into a plastic tub to reuse when I need to 'refresh' the cloths.
Beth Grant-DeRoos I'm new to fabric, I've been using unwashed new cotton fabric, so always better washed?
Great project !I actually tried this yesterday and found a lot of pooling also so I will try the shirting fabric instead! Thanks for your tutorial be well ! Shared with friends

+C rose Z you're so sweet to further my crusade against single use plastic. Thank you so so much.
That makes sense and is probably easier to use than plastic wrap. But, how do you clean the wraps?
+05generic a quick rinse does it
I have been purging plastics out of my life as possibly I can. This is absolutely a great idea. charmingly presented. Thank you
You're welcome. Thank YOU!
what is the link to order your wraps? Love to get some
That's a wonderful idea! I've seen the wax papers that they sell in specialty websites and they are expensive to buy, so I was hesitant to purchase them. The ones that you made are beautiful! The patterns are so vibrant! Awesome job!

These are really sticky, too sticky for the first few uses, but then they get broken in and are perfect! You're welcome.
Hi I’ve made these before with just the beeswax, what do the other ingredients add please ? Also what did you blot them with and do we have to wash the fabric first? I was worried about detergents or treatments on new fabrics.
Yes, wash fabric. You can boot them with your next sheet. They add cling and pliability
In the beginning of your video, you spoke about making a "bag" for bread. I thought, immediately, that you might sew a bag or something to put your bread into, but sadly, that was not the case. I’d really like to know if you are measuring in cups for example or weighing your supplies on a scale. Thanks
When I bake I weigh, when I teach I use cups as most people do not have a kitchen scale.
Great video. Thanks so much! 2 questions: (1) if I have extra wax mixture left over, can I reuse it? Can I just store it in the fridge and heat it up to make more wraps later? This is such a great project to do with young people.
Did you wash the fabric first? The fabric has sizing in it...so the beeswax mixture sat on top, instead of soaking in.

looked on amazon for the little tub of pine resin you presented, all i can find that looks exactly the same is pinon pine resin incense. (incense) is that what you are using?
ok read another ad it does say for incense, & bees wax wraps etc.
Yes, pinyon is just more fragrant
Thanks for sharing....been using smaller ones and now thinking circular shaped ones be perfect for bowls.
+Gabriella Lewenz they would!

question. was wondering if you can give ideas for what to make produce bags out of. thank you so much for these. how do we wash them and do they go rank? xoxo
You just rinse them under warm water. They'll last a long time before loosing their tackiness and needing a redip.
Wax is crumbly, the resin adds a stickiness that makes the fabric stick to itself.
When you use chunks of beeswax do you have to clean it first or is it good to go?
It needs to be clean
Love this! Question, do you wash the fabric before making yours?
You should, for sure
Thanks so much for doing this project with the pine rosin! I've been wanting to try it but didn't want to order a bunch of pine rosin without knowing if it was worth it.
+Afrohippychick it is worth it!
I had to much trouble feeling extra resin on my hands after playing with my finished sheets, do you think im using too much resin or how long does it take for that to subside?
I've found that they need a couple weeks to cute to reduce the stickiness.
Very Cool P! I saw the ones you showed in a local store and was real excited about them... but that price tag... could pull the trigger. I will definitely be doing this. Hope I win too!
+bobrunner06 💋
Hi! It's not much jojoba oil? Can I use less?? And it can be reuse the melt and reuse again? Tku for sharing
You can but they won't be as nice. Yes, you can remedy whatever remains.
How do you clean them? I like Curry, will they stain? Can you use them in the MicroWave?
Yes, turmeric stains them, make a yellow patterned one and you'll be adding to the design. I rinse them with warm water. No, the max will melt if you microwave them.
I've missed you FreshP. Hello from middle England. Yay....I have been waiting for this video, looks great I hate using plastic wrap. Hmm wonder if I can buy pine resin? Off to go check. 😬
+Mitch Heywood you can get it on Amazon, it might cost a bit in shipping.
+Mitch Heywood I've missed you too
I am so excited to try this! Every time I buy and use Zip Lock bags or plastic wrap I feel guilty! Now I can feel better and protect my food! Thanks so much!
You're welcome!
I cut the pockets off on a few old dress shirts - allowing 2" flap on top to fold over. Made great pouches for snacks.
Brilliant!
These are a fabulous idea, I am a beekeeper and will be using wax from my own bees to craft some of these, thanks for the tips.
hello.... I am wanting to become a beekeeper. Do you know if there is any specific manner in which the bees need to be kept for wax vs honey?? or do we just wait to get both at various cycles? also how many gives is best to begin with?
Im a beekeeper , I've made these with my wax also, love them, like the jojoba oil the best
This is the bees 🐝 knees!!!! Love this! Shared on IG and FB!! LOVE THIS!!!
Thanks for sharing. I'm loving these.
FRESH PRINCESS 😘you outdid yourself!!! I can not wait to make these!
Hi, thanks for sharing this video! I tried this using the iron method but found that the oil that I drizzle over leave behind a distinct oil stain. Any suggestion to correct this? Will brushing oil on the cloth lightly before adding the beeswax and resin help ?
I don't have answers as I've never used that method. The train makes the fabric stick to itself.
I absolutely love this video. Thank you for sharing how to make these wraps. You're such a great teacher. I was wondering if you could provide the links to the tree resin that you have used. I tried to click the link you provided in the description, but it says the site is not available. Thanks!
Thanks Love. All links are below.
Did you try Coconut oil? What was the result? I am trying to only use locally sourced products. What can you use instead of pine resin?
Coconut is a solid oil, I'd use a liquid oil with anti fungal bacterial properties. Do you live where coconuts grow?
Yes I am in Belize.
Coco resin???
I knew there was an easier way to make those .. other than having to grate the wax directly onto the fabric and then iron ... LOVE It Thank you.
You're welcome.
Love your video. I'd like to try making these myself. Just wondering how much of each ingredient you use?
+Shannon Macgillivray all my videos have recipes below. Click show more to see.
Thanks!❤️
How do they travel in heat? thinking of picnic, beach? would they melt?
What a wonderful idea, a perfect summer solstice gift, to us and the earth. Thank you for constantly inspiring me! Fingers crossed for the giveaway. 💚
Such good timing eh?
These are really cool and clever, Corrin! I hate plastic wrap because it seems to only stick to itself and not what you want. I used shower caps for the longest time because they worked better and they could be washed and reused. But, these look so much cuter and easier to use! Thank you for sharing. I'd love to win a set, so I'm sharing on FB to all my sustainable minded and crafty friends!
+Heather Cooper-Krossman you're so awesome, two entries for you!!
The excessive use of throw away is amazing. I've tried replacing baggies with Velcro homemade bags but they didn't go over with evrrtyone Maybe these will be more accepted. Wish they could be see through through. Great idea!
+Francine D try sheer gauze!
Thank you so SO much! I love how you incorporated more than just beeswax to reduce smell. The fabric information was also informative
Thank you!
Let me look and see if I can find it again
I found it, I bought 1lb pine gum rosin from Diamond, a USA product.
Great video! Does it work on hot days or does it loose its properties in the heat?
+Tybalt Moon works great
Very well made video thank you, would you have links to the ingredients, the one in the description says it's unavailable and I'd love to try this TIA
This has to 🐝bee....🐝 the best idea. I just want to wrap my lunch, my snacks, my grandbabies food in this waxy 🐝bee..utiful🐝 creation. Thank you for sharing🐝🐝
+Sandra NZ I want that for you too 🐝 thanks for sharing
Thank you for this, I really like the idea of these beeswax wraps. It is something we definatly have to try to make ourselves at home : )
A very happy and feelgood video as always, thank you for being you : )
+Johan Mattsson 😊
What a great idea. I live in Denmark, and pine resin is not an item i Can easily get a hold of. I love being out in Nature with my dog, and it would be perfect for this. I do worry a bit about the wax melting and waxing everything it touches. What it the meltingpoint of the wax?

Hi there, thank you for the video - Id like to do some of these for xmas presents so I'm doing a lot of research. I'm wondering what the addition of pine resin adds? Most DIY videos do not use it. Thanks : )
Stickiness and pliability. Merry merry.
And I shared to Sams FB!!!! Will figure out how to share to IG.
+Sandra Stack thx love. I sure had fun with your beautiful sister.
+Sandra Stack thank you Love. I can't wait to see your kitchen!! Wrap him in some when he goes surfing maybe that'll teach him.
Hi Fresh Princess,
I am an Indian living in the USA.
Lots of love,
PS: I fell in love with your channel when you posted your video of Mixed Berry Jam using Christine Ferber's Jam book.
Hi i think if u wash the new fabric first it will soak in better
+Rohinton Irani yes agreed
I may have missed the answer to my question in your video, please forgive me if you've already answered this. How do you clean the cloth after you've used it?
Wipe with a damp cloth/sponge.
So happy to see more people being conscientious about each other and our planet, thank you for the best diy on this subject, well best of the 4 others I watched :-)
+Bettina thanks Love.
Just wondering if or when your giveaway is being drawn? I've looked but cannot find anything. Thanks😀
i liked the idea of dipping the material into the old pot , which is set aside for this purpose. very well presented and great idea about the old shirts which are normally a good thinnish cotton. thankyou so much.
They need to be cured.
FRESH PRINCESS That would be great, how do I cure them please?
Just hang them for a couple weeks. I used mine right away, thesticky lasts a week or two
FRESH PRINCESS I’ll give it some time then, thanks.
Do you get a residual taste or smell from the pine resin?
We followed the above recipe, but the wraps seem gummy instead of sticky. Can you offer advice?
Let them cure for a couple weeks.
love those. I've only ever seen them made wit just beeswax. love the idea that they stick to themselves. thankyou.
+jennifer dumbris you're so welcome. They really make a seal which is great. 💋
Where do you buy your ingredients?? My mom and I are making these this weekend, can’t wait to try your recipe😊 the link in you description Wasn’t working
Nice I'd like to try this one.
I just use Pyrex glass containers most of the time.
I do for food, but for our packs and cheese I tend toward plastic, not not any more.
I have never heard of a product like this! Very cool!
I was wondering a few things...
On the fabric that was a bit denser - could you potentially use the blotter and an iron to push the wax into the fabric with a bit of maybe freezer paper to protect your iron
The next thought is a question of material
Instead of pine resin could one use powdered myrrh for it has anti microbial properties and may offer some health benefits 🌸🎶
Please consider me for one of your crafted wraps
Thank you for sharing your joy of creation ✨
GREAT suggestions, thanks for sharing.
I am not sure whether I am doing something wrong OT not but I can not find your recipe for the reusable plastic wrap. Can you possibly let me know what amounts of each item to use as well as where I might find pine resin in a store so I can make these tomorrow? ( no time to order online as I can not get shipping to Canada quick enough - I am not very patient lol)
Thank you in advance for the recipe.
+Lorelie Cole it's under the video, are are links to resin.
+Lorelie Cole good luck on finding resin, call a music store perhaps and ask if theirs is pure, or a woodworker.
Thanks Fresh P! Our workday lunches are going to be so much yummier wrapped in hunks of hubby's beautiful worn out shirts!
+Mrs Wagner yes they will, worn to perfection.
Hi,
Love your video. Can I just use jojoba oil? Or you need to melt the oil with the bees wax? Merci.
You need the wax to get a firmer product.
Thank you ❤️
How sticky is too sticky? Ive tried making some with the pine resin and find it quite sticky.
They need to cure a bit. A couple weeks I've found.
Now I just need a good source of beeswax! Love all of your videos.
+Kacey Logel thanks Love. Find a local beekeeper.
Awesome! I feel so bad whenever I use plastic wrap for bread baking and things. This should solve the problem. Thanks for sharing
+MimiTheNinja meeee too, you're welcome. I ❤️ them
Hi ~ love your video! Can you please tell me what purpose the pine resin adds? Thank you!
+Su Bree it makes it pliable and sticky. The wax is dry and crumbly w/o it.
+Su Bree mine isn't gel, yes, same
Oh boy, I've gotta get one of these.
I'll keep it just between you and I. She's HOT. I make it periodically and store it in the freezer. How many do you want? I'm due to make a new batch.
And yes, she is HOT!
I’m just now seeing your video (new subscriber) and wondering if you are still selling them and what the sizes and prices are.
I have actually been looking into this as well, already bought the fabric!! so excited to see your "recipe". would be an honor to have some of yours in my kitchen!😍
I want to make these now. Thank you!! I would never have guessed I can replace plastic wrap! Sharing
+Jacqueline Rineer thanks Love, one more day before the drawing, spread the love.
These are so cool no more plastic wrap that stickes together so you can not put it where you want it.
Just starting my zero waste journey and these beeswax wraps are genius! I would love love love to try them out! Thank you so much for sharing your recipe.
When you first showed up in a Wranglerstar video i never expected to be so into your channel! you are so humble, love watching everything you do !
+Sean Rivera that's so sweet, thanks Love. I'm glad you're here.
Thanks! Nice to see you back. You're always missed. I love this idea. I've never taken the time to make them. I would love to have a set. I'm already a subscriber. Shared it to Facebook and Pinterest. Looks like you got home in time for the heat. Looks like it's just around the corner. :o)
Just in time to get my tomatoes int he ground! Thanks for sharing!
Happy 2020!
So great. Thanks for sharing this with me. Happy creating.
+browneyedbabes you're so welcome
Completely adorable!!!! 😘😘😘
How do you clean them? I'm assuming you just wipe with a damp cloth.
I just give them a rinse.
