i am glad singapore zoo is doing more for conservation, especially of the binturong and clouded leopard. i hope we do it for all the endangered species in our own backyard. i have since learned, now i am older, that many of them are endemic (ie found no where else on earth) and very ancient.
    1) the sumatran rhino that is the only living relative of the extinct woolly rhinos and are not closely related to their famous african black and white rhinos. (chinese people especially please stop eating them, they do nothing as far as medical benefits go)
    2) the borneon and sumatran orangutans, one of the last five great apes to which we are related to.
    3) the javan rhino
    4) the borneon pygmy elephant
    5) the malayan, sumatran and borneon tiger (the javan tiger has gone extinct)
    6) the pangolin. (chinese people especially please stop eating them, they do nothing as far as medical benefits go)
