Thank you so much for taking the time to work this out and to put this video together. I was watching some other videos from the top racers but U just could not match their skillls. This one brought everything down to my level (no offence) and I finally managed to complete this damn menu book.
You are more than welcome Jackson and I am glad that you found the video useful. It is comments like this that make producing these videos all worthwhile.
Thank you and I am pleased that you found my video useful. If you have not already, would you mind subscribing to my channel to help me on my journey to the 1000 subs.
I took P1. After 9 laps on soft I was in P2 with 12 sec to leader. I saved the tires for rainy 9 lap. On lap 10 rain intensified. P1 driver had no tires change but I changed to intermediate. At end of 10 lap I was p1
Congrats and well done. I never managed to get gold on the soft tyres and on the normal difficulty setting but last night I managed to get gold using Mediums. That video has just gone live and I'm thankful to have that gold trophy in the cabinet.
This my first time playing with one of Super Formula cars so I really don’t know the limits of this car Did the first Fuji race with a strategy of starting on H and going all the way to the end and finished 6th Then used this strategy of yours and with knowing the limits of the car I managed to get 3rd just now 😇 Best time 1:24:406
I got a second place finish on normal with a soft to soft strategy. I pitted on lap 7 since I am pore with tire management. I also ran a tune that favored the oversteer a bit more then the car already does by default. On a separate run I tried doing the pit stop after lap 8 but I lost to much time on lap 8 and couldn't get a podium on that run. I feel I have better skill defending so it is worth it to bit a lap earlier to get those fresh tire benefits earlier when I have to claw my way up the field again.
On Expert you have to run on average a 1.23.7 on hard tyres. And fair bit quicker on softs. Manual gear settings and wing adjustment likely the key. And all laps with rain just nudging into the second bar, you just ignore in the majority and can only afford to lose a few mph in a couple key corners.
Some people are saying online that they are doing these on hard tyres with no stops. Unless they are running on Easy Difficulty, I cannot see it myself. The strategies in my videos were the only option that worked for me as an average racer. I just need to get first place now.
I think that depends on the difficulty that you plan to use. Normal settings are pretty easy and my videos should help you with that. However, Hard settings is another thing altogether. I have not tried that myself but I have a friends trying and he tells me that it is quite a challenge.
I am sorry to hear that you are struggling. One thing that I have had to learn in this game is that some things are very hard abut they are equally as rewarding when you achieve the win. Sometimes I came away from a race physically shaking after a really tough battle that results in a win. There is no other game that I have played that gives me that feeling. Hopefully you will get the menu book challenge done and gold sooner rather than later. Hopefully my video might help and give you some inspiration to press on and achieve your goal. Please be sure to let me know when you do. And, good luck in your efforts in the meantime. Ohh and remember that this car is all about the downforce. You can go around corners much faster than you think in this car and sometimes, the faster the better. It is just a case of learning to trust the car and then where and when you have to slow things down.
This took me about 25 attempts to beat the super formula event at Fuji speedway, but I came second place with racing medium tires, and no pit stop. It's so hard to beat.
Hi Samuel, thanks for your visit and comment. This one sure is tough and lots of us seem to have struggled. Well done for beating it though. Btw, if you have not already, could you do me a huge favour and subscribe to my channel. I’d really appreciate it. Thank you.
Great job. Lots of good tips in this video. You ran a pretty good race overall. I agree that the front-runner AI is abnormally quick. It helps if you get a decent rainfall during the race and are able to switch tires at the right time. 09:55 A good reference for this braking point is the yellow Dunlop banner that stretches across the track. 22:35 That wasn't your fault. The AI just has poor awareness.
I am out for the moment but if you take a look at the other two menu book 47 videos, one of them should show the tune, but I think that it was pretty much default. I was not using it, but remember to use the overtake button from time to time on the straights.
I have been asked by some of my subscribers to do these videos, using the normal racing difficulty. I am therefore using normal for all of the world circuit races from now on. I have a friend that he’s doing, he’s on hard and he tells me that these are very difficult challenges on the hard setting. I have not tried them on hard myself because I’m still working through the rest of the world circuit challenges.
Hi! You did this event on hard difficulty or medium by the way? 🤔 Myself on controller either I tried with arcadey approach X and square + directional and automatic gearbox traction 3 and then manual triggers/analog and also traction 3 I had trouble to catch the last 3 maybe drivers or so I did choose lately the SF19 model and was a bit quicker I think but in the SF23 no chance whatever I did but i'm aware i'm not on a steering wheel too. Thx in advance and nice video :)
I did this on the normal (medium) difficulty setting. It is interesting about the older car. I’ll have to buy one of those when I try this again for first place.
Hello SF19 is way faster in terms of tune setup so thats my tip i also use automatic on ds4 and got p1 with a huge +10seconds ahead p2 can check searching
Thanks for this. I just beat it on hard. You can run the RS tires without pitting. You just need to be really delicate with how you combine throttle and steering after about lap 10. After the tires fade, you're about 3 seconds per lap slower, which I am guessing isn't quite slow enough to be worth pitting for fresh tires. That pit would have to be less than 21 seconds, so it might not actually make any difference, but I haven't tried pitting yet, so I don't know. You need to also run minimum downforce to hit 300 km/h on the straight. You will still have plenty of grip in the corners.
Bro I want to kick myself! I didn't even notice the overtake function. I am not good in racing games but your videos makes it easier for me. I went for Medium tires as I knew I am hard on tires. I was able to get first place on 8th lap. He pitted in lap 11, I pushed to lap 13 and pitted got softs. finished 1st. Thanks ☺️
Congratulations and don't kick yourself. I did the same and continue to forget about the overtake button and the DRS button on some of the road cars like the Porsche GT3
@@playstationracer67-GT7 haha thanks. Guess it's one of those things. Saw on the other video about the Lamborghini VGT. That made the menu book such a breeze. Your videos and recommendations are AMAZING. Thank you. ☺️
I can't believe that you did not remember to use the overtake button. How you are going to have to do both of these bronze trophies again to get gold 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I must say that I agree. Far too many people are struggling to get first place. I struggled to get third. I think that it is possible though. If I had been more consistent and not had the bump at the end, it would have been close and I’m not the fastest driver in the world 😉.
@@playstationracer67-GT7 I understand what you mean but it shouldn’t be that difficult in the first place. Gt7 has a huge problem with difficulty scaling between different races. Also if you notice the cpu is actually doing the impossible, some of them go the entire race without changing tires which is only possible on racing hard tires. If they are using racing hards than it’s no way that their lap times can be achieved on hards and even in rain 😂

I completely agree my friend. I also went for the win and crashed out several times. I am doing the same for the Weekly Challenges at the moment. Nothing less that a win is good enough it seems for us racers. Better luck next time.
@@playstationracer67-GT7 i just now realized my car is different (and i assume slower). there's a sf19 and a sf23. will try the sf23 tomorrow. should accelerate better out of slow corners since it's torquier. maybe ai wasn't cheating after all =)

I am not sure to be honest, I jut always go for the SF23.
I didn’t realize you could use overtake either lol. I thought the overtake button was just an overtaking blinker.
