  • This is half pound of parsad please double or tripple to your needs.
    2 cups all purpose flour
    1 cup ghee
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 cinnamon stick
    1/4 tsp nutmeg
    2 1/4 cups whole milk / evaporated
    1/4 tsp cardamon powder / elychee powder
    1/2 cup raisins
    1 tbsp pureed fresh ginger

    I honestly enjoyed this video...made me feel like going to make this right now. It's actually just the way I make mines...but I would sprinkle some cardamom powder after it's finished. Absolutely love this recipe.

    This parsad looks good. I don't do dairy and wonder how well it would go with real coconut. Maybe I'll come up with a version using shredded coconut and coconut milk. Thanks for sharing

    Love it 😍 I like grind rice on mine with a little coconut and a few grains of soak raw channa. I like it like that. The longtime way. 😋 Nice for days. When ready to serve delish 😋😋😋😋😋👍

      I remember it back in the 70's with raw channa, coconut flakes or tiny pieces and little pieces of apple.

      The grind rice and soak channa, is actually parsad for other deities, usually a number of prays will get done on a Saturday, that's why the parsad had those in it

    I usually add a little melted ghee at the end as a finishing touch.

    Hi Natasha, I just made this recipe for the first time and it turned out great. I must confess that I became nervous as the flour didn't seem enough for the ghee and added a tablespoon more flour but I think it would have been fine. I wasn't sure exactly which ghee to buy so I bought one that said butter ghee but in comparison to your ghee mine was very liquid in the bottle and the solids had separated. Would it have been better to buy the one that said vegetable ghee? how would using salted butter change the taste?

    I made following Y💜UR take (as a base) and added my own concoction as I have lactose free peeps… used coconut 🌴 milk 🥛 instead… cranberry VS raisin 🍇… 1:1 of cream of wheat : flour… icing sugar VS granulated… topped w/shredded coconut, almond nuts & grapes! Yumm (no patch and took 7mins)📌 thank YOU 🪬💎🗣️

    It is parch and parching, NOT PATCH and PATCHING!
