      Hi, I have a line up of videos coming up. Will add that to my list. In the mean time, you can use this same recipe and instead of 1 cup of cream of wheat, use 3/4 cups cream of wheat and 1/4 cup flour. Enjoy 😃

    Hi lovely recipe. Do you have a recipe for Roat?

    • @joyfuloven
      @joyfuloven 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      ROHT / ROAT RECIPE
      Ingredients:
      6 cups all-purpose flour
      2 ½ cup white sugar
      1 ¼ tsp ground cardamom
      ¼ tsp cinnamon
      1 ¼ cup ghee - room temperature
      Milk - as required
      2-3 cups ghee, for frying
      Method:
      1. Mix flour, sugar and spices until well combined.
      2. Add 1 1/4 cup ghee and crumble together until it forms a fine cornmeal texture.
      3. Gradually add milk, 1-2 tbsp at a time, just until a firm dough forms.
      4. Divide the dough into 12 pieces. Roll each peace between your hands until the surface is smooth. Flatten to 1/2” thickness. (Grease hands with ghee when rolling)
      5. Heat 2-3 cups ghee in a pot to a medium - low temperature.
      6. Fry the roht, carefully flipping every minute or so, until both sides are golden brown.
      7. Enjoy!

    What causes it to remain kinda stiff and grainy and not get fluffy

    • @joyfuloven
      @joyfuloven 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question, that means that not enough liquids were added. So a great trick is to always have 1 cup of hot water on standby when you're making the parsad. If you find that's it still grainy when all the milk has been added, then pour some hot water in and let it cook again, stirring continuously until it's fluffy. Enjoy 😃

    May I ask what is the difference between the:
    "Quaker Cream of Wheat" kind
    ..and the "kind in the plastic bag", like you described?
    (..or is that just a description that is important to your area only?)
    I've been wanting to make this but cannot find any other type/kind of "cream of wheat", kind of "Farina"..
    But I'm not sure if the one I have will be sufficient enough or won't work properly.
    Thanks for your response and advice.
    In love, light & gratitude,
    For all you do, all you have done & all you WILL- do, in the future,
    Namaste🙏 S.G.A.⭐🤍💛💜

      You can try it, but dilute it with water. The full cream milk is more light and keeps the parsad soft.
