From a German perspective this is so incredibly funny... not them appointing Tuchel but the (very predictable) reaction from the trashy English tabloids. The day he was announced I was taking a glance at the Mail, Telegraph, etc. in hope of getting a good laugh and I did
Since the Euros 2021 i have moved the England from my "its fine if they win a big title" to my "please never let them win a title while i live". Daily Mail, The Sun and the other shit tabloids just fuel that that fire in me. I am sorry to some fans of England that i will this way but you cant change this feeling.

The last time an English manager won the English top flight was 1992, the idea of needing an English manager has held us back for years. Funny no one was complaining about this when England won the women's euros
My favourite ironic statement from a British journalist was Sam Wallace saying how amazing it would be for Pep to be England manager. Then 3 days later publishes another article that Tuchel appointment is wrong and the England manager should only be English 😂
Eh, I was always cool with having a manager that's managed in the Premier League. It does show the work that still needs to be done at St George's Park to better develop coaching nationally, though
To be honest, as an English person- I’m very happy that Tuchel is the manager. Very fortunate to have someone so experienced and technical managing one of the best squads in the world and bringing out their full potential- but honestly for Southgate, he wasn’t even that bad. Two finals in a row is a very good record.
Well it kind of was. The Battle of Stamford Bridge happened shortly before Hastings and that was the Anglo-Saxons against the Vikings. Then there is the Normans, who were basically Vikings that had established a Kingdom in Northern France. So 1066 was in pretty large part against Vikings.
@@All-Outta-Bubblegum fair enough. I didn’t know the battle of Stamford Bridge was 1066 and thought the Normans were just French from the county of Normandy. I’m disappointed in myself apparently
I'm old enough to remember the fuss when we hired Sven as England manager. This is exactly the same. He goes onto win a world cup/euro, and he will be a hero to the same people calling it a disgrace.
I agree with the fact that its ridiculous that they hate the idea just because he is not English ,but i can only speak from the perspective of someone who lives in EU ,so i cant talk for the UK ,but usually we are very against importing talent that is not ours ,for example i live in Romania and we had a player who is brazilian and played in Romania for like 10 years and he wanted to get citizenship to make his paperwork easier for his day to day life and when the Romanian coach at the time choose him to be in the squad for some friendlies ,people started to say that we should keep the team 100% romanian ,they said that most likely from racism ,but in my opinion being open to basically importing talent is a good idea for results ,but you lose personality and pride as a nation it just shows the reality of how bad the team actually got .
I'm really positive about this appointment, yes there were issues with Sven and Capello but they were great managers for us at the time. Tuchel is a proven winner and knows the English game so bring it on!
If Austria can handle having a German coach, so can England. No one in the world dislikes Germans more than we do. (Sorry, Germans. I kind of like you because I have a lot of family there, but still...😐) Edit: We love Ralf Rangnick now. He made the impossible possible. Making Austria kinda decent in football.
Austrians are germans and the hate austrians have for germans is very different from the hate the english have. Austrians hate germans because of a brother complex not for valid historical reasons as the english do.
Is the necessity to appoint a foreign coach a sad indictment of the standard of english coaches? Yes. Is that in any way thomas tuchels fault or reason to attack him with racist vitriol? Of course not. Im fully behind tuchel and hopes he wins us a world cup because the second we lose during that tournament the response will be vile

There is an argument to be made that if the players have to be from that nation, then the manager should also have to be from that nation. But, I don't care what nationality the manager is, neither will anyone else if he does well.
Remember when an English coach, Jack Charlton, took charge of the Irish national football team and managed to make them qualify for the world cup in 1990 for the first time in the country's history, and repeated the same feat again in 1994? Which is even more impressive when one remembers that prior to coaching Ireland, Jack Charlton had coached two teams of the lower divisions of the English League system, and just one year of experience with a team of the Premiere League, who had made it to the Premiere League just the year prior to that. That's the guy the Irish got for the National team, and it was argurably the most successful years the Irish team ever had. English coaches do great in other countries (just not great in their own country), and those countries don't give a crap because they get the job done. Why am I using this example? Because nobody, not the French, not the Germans, not the Argentineans, not the Indians, nobody hates the English more than the Irish do. And they still had one for the coach of their national team, and he got the job done.
England is a basket case in every single aspect.. and as an Aussie, I can't get enough! 😂 Feel sorry for Tuchel, tho.. gonna be a brutal experience for him.

It's true we do create mediocre managers except eddie howe but the difference is we create the most talented player in Europe so I think we should be able to bring in a great manager to get the best out of them
@@Foxythepirateandmangle I don't think this is the justification you think it is. "My mummy and daddy are rich so why can't I ask for a Ferrari for Christmas"
marco senna won the euros with spain in midfield. hes brazlian born and bred. diago costa is brazilian. both di stefano and puskas played for argentina and hungary before playing for spain.
italy have given 16 caps to an argentian lad called retegui who had never been there before his first call up. Jorginho won them the euros despite being brazilian born and bred. Luis Monti played for Argentina and Italy, and is the only player to appear in two World Cup final matches for different teams. we all know how easy it is for a footballer to get an italian passport.
Rakatic was born and raised in switzerland but played for croatia.
Aubamayang is french but played for gabon.
chadli is morrocan but played for belgium.
and of course argentina keep playing some lad called messi despite him being from out of space.
its been going on for years. at least englands players are still english..... oh wait, barnes and stirling are jamaican.
the daily mail can get in the sea.
how they capitalized the word "german" like it's some sort of horrible thing is hilarious to me
The dude has lived in the past for 80 years
German is capitalised because that's grammatically correct. Country names are proper nouns, as are demonyms.
@@Eric_Hunt194 he means that Gernan was written in all caps
I would have thought a German was a perfect hire for the Daily Mail with their history.
I guess the comment was supposed to be anti daily mail? But you realize it's at least as anti german as anti daily mail right?
We need a Zealandism about the NWSL Boston marketing fail.
Your wish came through 😂
"He can get knighted by the queen"... No Z, not sure he can anymore 🤣
All those against Tuchel, do NOT celebrate the successes. Such a short sighted reaction...
Solid edit at 4:50 where the hoodie magically goes down.
Also love your comments about the Daily Mail. It is the faecal ooze of the worst sewer you can imagine.
1 English manager in the last 34 years as of a quick Google search has won the English league. Says it all.
I thought the UK are used to importing solutions to their every problem...🤔
From a German perspective this is so incredibly funny... not them appointing Tuchel but the (very predictable) reaction from the trashy English tabloids. The day he was announced I was taking a glance at the Mail, Telegraph, etc. in hope of getting a good laugh and I did
Since the Euros 2021 i have moved the England from my "its fine if they win a big title" to my "please never let them win a title while i live". Daily Mail, The Sun and the other shit tabloids just fuel that that fire in me. I am sorry to some fans of England that i will this way but you cant change this feeling.
It's OK. There's English people like me that feel the same way for the same reasons. I don't fancy having to avoid a riot then years of arrogant boasting because the English finally got a shiny trophy again.
Did they somehow forgot Sven-Goran Eriksson was England's manager for almost 5 years?!
Ignore the Daily Fail Z
Getting knighted by the Queen might be a bit of an ask mind
I'm English think it's a great appointment and also means they will leave the best English manager where he is meant to be at Newcastle
Not an England fan but the Tuchel appointment automatically made them favorites for 2026 WC in my eyes.
Tuchel is one of the top mangers in the world.
Dude, this was THE BEST video ever made by Zealand. I laughed my ass off so much.
To be honest, as an English person- I’m very happy that Tuchel is the manager. Very fortunate to have someone so experienced and technical managing one of the best squads in the world and bringing out their full potential- but honestly for Southgate, he wasn’t even that bad. Two finals in a row is a very good record.
DON'T MENTION THE WAR!
Most English fans couldn’t care where the manager is from, it’s mainly the media and a few racists
DailyMail being DailyMail but the whole rant was thoroughly enjoyable. Shit had me chuckling.
Thomas Tuchel is going to have to live for a very, very long time to be knighted by the queen
The Daily Fail is only useful as toilet paper, lets be honest
1066 was not against the vikings and im disappointed you of all people didn’t know that
Otherwise couldn’t have put it better myself
Props to Zealand for realising there were two invasions of England in 1066. Most people only know the Norman invasion
9:30 Congratulations to Tuchel winning 3 world cups, 2 euros and a finallisma just to make that headline age like milk.
I'd say that around 50% of English people think they fought in WWII, they simply have not moved on in 80 years.
Eddie Howe is a pretty good manager?
I'm really positive about this appointment, yes there were issues with Sven and Capello but they were great managers for us at the time. Tuchel is a proven winner and knows the English game so bring it on!
If Austria can handle having a German coach, so can England. No one in the world dislikes Germans more than we do. (Sorry, Germans. I kind of like you because I have a lot of family there, but still...😐)
Edit: We love Ralf Rangnick now.
Eddie Howe is a great shout for England manager who is English, definitely the best they have
14:28 They act like they weren't a laughing stock of every tournament
One of the best videos on your channel, the rage.. ahahahaa 11:30 Epic
I've seldom been so happy about a video, I am crying literal tears
Ottoman Empire - bunch of 20 determination dudes
i stopped playing fm like a year ago so I don't watch much of the main Zealand content anymore but these rant videos consistently make me chuckle
If he hates the Daily Mail wait until he hears about The Sun
SGE was Swedish, he was one of the most loved england managers
England really doesn't have the trophy cabinet for their media to talk in this tone. funny as hell
If its a British manager he's not up to the standards and if you get a foreigner... he's a foreigner. I knew this would hit the fan in the news. Sensationalism at it's best.
The Europe rant was funny as hell haha. Greetings from Germany
I'd love an English manager, but I also want the BEST. There are 0 world class English managers. Tuchel is an absolute BEAST of an appointment
You are welcome England.
Youll have alot of fun.
I'm absolutely fine and delighted that Tuchel has been given the gig and maybe, just maybe, it might finally come home. Also, as powerful as the Ottomans were, they couldn't get past the mighty Malta (my new home) 😂
If the USA’s basketball team was managed by a Mexican or an Canadian there would be the same reaction let’s be realistic
How many top NBA coaches are non-American? How many NBA championships have been won by non-Americans?
@@soikramaribestman6618 also very true. All I’m saying is let’s not act shocked by racists being racist
@@vinnydiaz6959 You're right

knighted by the queen well... I know in my heart Lizzy is still rocking
Z, it's actually make perfect sense this might be the exampled of BREXIT footy I've ever seen. A deeply disturbed country/fanbase/media.
And I'm here to enjoy ever moment of is (unless they win)
The Daily Fail is the worst rag in the country. It's only use is as a substitute for toilet paper in emergency situations where there are absolutely no alternatives.
Daily Mail's whole raison d'etre to have people make videos like this.
Zealand had a happy life before he discovered the existence of the Daily Mail. Now he's on the verge of a mental breakdown because he had to read one article.
I'm not even english and couldn't care less as a frenchman but man, I needed that rant 😂
I love this channel so much
Zea, your "Us vs. Them" rant made me laugh out loud for a good minute or two loooooool
My main takeaway from this video is that Zealand is an Ottoman history expert. Who knew.
Calls out ragebait, proceeds to rage about it for 15 minutes.
cheers zealand for clarifying not the category, couldn't have figured out otherwise 😂
England is a basket case in every single aspect.. and as an Aussie, I can't get enough! 😂
Feel sorry for Tuchel, tho.. gonna be a brutal experience for him.
