That rest area at the beginning, I always thought that was the same place, where Forrest Gump was standing when some mud accidentally got splashed on a shirt he was holding & made that happy face on it too. But I was wrong. He wasn't in this area after all. Looks very similar to this place though. That's what I thought when I watched this movie. By the way, that scene was when he was running/jogging across the country.
Thanks ted! there are a couple of longer ones... check out the recent stuff from Utah -- you might enjoy Route 12... i think that one runs about :30, it's an extraordinary road.

Hahaha, I'm doing this drive alone right now and was trying to find something to keep me from going crazy. This definitely is not helping.

Looks like this drive begins in the small town of Bakersfield or should I say near Bakersfield, There's not much there really. Nice drive.
@3:36 when you're going 1500 mph and you get passed like you're standing still.
Probably i would not driving to el paso at night
Nice song!
I wish my drives from El Paso to San Antonio were this fast LMAO
At minute 6:00 you arrived at Junction. I love that place :)
7:19 I can't drive 75, well, tough, you have to, it's the law starting in Gillespie County.
0:45 is that an old gas station? There on the right? I've always wondered whenever I go past that thing when I'm out there.
Can you confirm that TX removed the night time speed limits?
I've driven this stretch of road before except going west. It's pretty friggin boring.
