My father took a sabbatical from teaching high school math and science when I was 5 and my sister was 3. Our family lived in a bubble top OpenRoad Chevy van and covered all the 48, parts of Canada in 8 months.
Messed me up for good! Been there done that by 2nd grade. I can still remember homeschooling and having to pick up my Legos before getting to explore our new campsites. I became lifelong nomad and now full time RVer.
    Travel is the best education!!!

Great video! I hope @wanderlocal finds an Airstream floor plan that works better for their family needs because they’re such great ambassadors for the brand, but I suspect a fifth wheel floor plan like @lessjunkmorejourney is probably more realistic. My babies are grown, but raising your kids with a sense of adventure, and a love of travel is such a great gift to give your kids ❤. Both of my grown kids think nothing of taking spur of the moment road trips and I love that they got that from the way I raised them.

Hi Steph! You never know! They hinted at maybe taking a look but it is so hard to go another route when you get used to the simplicity and quality of the AS. But the allure of room is always very tugging for sure!
So cool to hear that your sense of adventure and intentionality in raising your kids to get outside and go stuck with them. That’s gotta feel good and be cool to see! Thank you for joining us and we can’t wait to do the same with Ben!

This was a fun video to watch! The most important thing you need is love and I see you already love your little Ben who will be here before you know it. All the rest will fall into place.

Do you have a link to the dog camera that you are using in your Airstream? Congratulations on the little one coming.

Hi Homestead Hippies! It’s the Google Nest Cam, not sure if this link will work in the comment but will post. If you Google “Google nest cam” it’s the white ones that detach from the base. We love it because we can put them anywhere and the battery is initiated when the camera connects to the magnetic base but isn’t using the battery otherwise. Can use a strong adhesive tape to permanently place a base inside or outside or keep them free and plop them wherever is most helpful. Thank you for the congrats!

Was the Fernandez Dyson really $600-700? We wanted to join the Dyson crowd but we’re amazed by the price. Tell us it was worth it. 🙂

I’m not sure what they got their Dyson for, but I they do certainly have a higher price tag than other vacuums.
I can tell you though, we recently purchased our own and it has been very worth it. I’m sure vacuums with a lower price tag would do a good job, but the Dyson V12 is a GREAT vacuum for our setup.
