Went pawn shopping yesterday and spent just under 200. Already sold 7 games and have 150 in profit. Still have a ps2, 2ds xl, Wii U, and about 60 other games to sell. This channel has helped a lot, it gave me the courage to go out and try something new. Really appreciate you!
I definitely think the GameCube holds up today. Most of the GC's first-party titles are stellar (Smash Bros, Wind Waker, Double Dash, etc.) but a TON of its third-party titles are filled to the brim with quality (Godzilla Destroy All Monsters, Pacman World, any LOTR game, Scooby Doo 100 Ghosts, etc.). The style of graphics most GC games utilize holds up very well today as well. It's a shame that the GC didn't sell well; it's one of the greatest consoles ever.
That PSVR bundle was awesome. I'd be temped to buy it at the Amazon price, it's a no brainer at that pawn shops price. Love the collab too! You introduced me to another cool reseller!
It's awesome that you got a lot of your gamecube collection filled out! I'm still working on mine, but it is kinda crazy how expensive getting them has gotten. Gotta respect the hustle, though. I might finish mine if I ever get rich and famous, haha!
Gamecube definitely holds up today. I recommend the hyperlink HD converter for modern TVs. The GC controller is still my favorite to this day and it just fits in your hand but the wavebird is just super as well.. Also the library has so many hidden gems like Pitfall, Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction, the Nicktoons series, Wario World, and a whole bunch more!
The Gamecube holds up in the modern age. Of all the 6th gen consoles imo it has the best 1st party library of games and lots of them were technical marvels back then in to this day still look amazing (Metroid Prime still holds up graphically) As Nintendo's last traditional console, not only is it extremely unique. It is also still amazing to play.
Pac man world 2 is so nostalgic for me. My littlest sister still asks about it and remembers never being able to beat the ice skating levels. Love what you're doing
Glad to see you added Skies of Arcadia Legends to the GameCube list. I am kicking myself from not buying the few copies( or at least one) they had from Blockbuster when they would sell old games. Best GameCube game hands down.
The GC is my fav console of all time (if not it’s high on the list). Although I don’t go back and play it as often as I really want to, every time I do it’s a special feeling. The surge of nostalgia that this console and it’s amazing library delivers while also making me happy/sad thinking of the good memories I have playing it with my brothers is incredible. Love this series and can’t wait to see more. (Also what good finds in this vid, Mario baseball is a classic)
God dang! Almost $300 for Gamecube games?! I remembered back when Gamestop tried to get rid of old generation games with their B2G1 free deal, I drove all over Gamestop locations and buy here and there, then at last Gamestop, return all my finds, and repurchase all of them to get the full deal. I went to 7 Gamestop locations that day and got about 18 to 20 Gamecube games for about $188 including tax. That was crazy back in my day and even crazy that people film their experience and get paid, lol. Oh, times have changed and watching videos like this reminds me of good old crazy time. 👍
I just got a GameCube with 4 games, and 3 controllers at a local thrift-store. Never played it as a kid. It does still hold it's weight in 2021. Great titles and well designed system. Double Dash is really fun!
One of the greatest things about the GC is that all the greatest Zelda games are available on the console! Though it’s pricey now, being able to go back to OOT, WW, MM, TP, FS and others on one device is a huge plus

I must say, Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee is a MUST have for your collection! VERY amazing game loved playing it as a kid! You gained a new subscriber! :)
Dude awesome episode Caleb. That go go hypergrind was sick. Man I wish it was a bit cheaper lol. Great episode my friend. The collection is looking awesome also.

Now I'm Play Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 on My Laptop👍 Spongebob Squarepants, Mario Kart Double Dash, and PK Out of the Shadows is Also Good Games👍
some of my fav's are double dash, zelda's of course, eternal darkness, Mario sunshine, Resident evil 4, luigi's mansion, fzero gx and the metroids to name a few. Also the zelda collectors edition and resident evil remakes are cool to have.
I feel the gamecube definitely holds its weight as a console even today because of the fact that you can play (GBA gameboy advance) and (GBC gameboy color) as well as the gamecube games on it is pretty amazing in itself. I had one when I was a kid loved it still have it till this day looking forward to expanding my library with all the tips and tricks I'm learning from watching your videos.
i actually got a gamecube recently and went to youtube for gameplay and other gamecube videos and happened to scroll across your channel about 4-5 days ago .
The GameCube has aged more gracefully than any other console of it's time, especially when looking at the first party line up. For me, it's still untouchable to this day
@@ChaosKoopasPlays Not even close. Every console from that generation aged beautifully. GameCube didn't have many games. All the third party games ran better elsewhere. GameCube hardly had any exclusives
@@gamestuhthereturnoftoxicity most 3rd party games ran worse on PS2. GC and especially Xbox were both way more powerful. On the note of exclusives, there was definitely a lot more on PS2, but it’s definitely more of a mixed bag than GC. Of course there were plenty of incredible games that still hold up today, but there’s also quite a few titles that are more of a product of their time. Almost every GameCube exclusive is good at the very least, with most of them being great to amazing. I’ve always just preferred GameCube from that gen, but I love the others as well. PS2 was the first console I ever got new in box and I played the shot out of it and for Xbox, the first two Halo games are some of my favorites of all time. As with anything, just a matter of opinion
Yes the gamecube holds up really well today. The graphics look pretty good even on modern tvs, the controller was strange but also very comfortable to use, and has one of the best libraries of games that can take up thousands of hours, and thats just playing Melee
Remember a cusomer report article I read while in high school that while ps2 and Xbox were hitting 480p Rogue squadron was first game to hit 720p they really did impressive work on there GameCube games
I had the black game cube growing up, spent a lot of time on melee, TY and Chrystal Chronicles (A MUST OWN BTW) ...After going back to it in my early 20's I did sell it.. I played the Wii and PSP more and the n64 more than all of them.. I now collect PSP games and a few boxed n64 games. Regardless I do think the GameCube stands up to today, a great console to pick up and play with an interesting library of games but not extremely addicting. I collect for the PSP for similar reasons. I think the vintage game market as a whole will explode in value soon, it's a ticking time bomb as old games are mistreated and thrown away.
Probably my favorite series! Gamecube was my childhood console, I loved this console so much. My 2 favorite games you should definitely add to your list: Metal Arms: Glitch in the System Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
"Is this a zombie?" is a complete trip. It's a comedy, except by the last episode you have a zombie guy dressed as a magical girl wielding a chainsaw against vampires while the world is being invaded by flying whales in tuxedos from the heavens.
I scored big at a garage sale found a gameboy advance with 6 games for 5 dollars including doom 2 and mortal kombat deadly alliance and a gameboy color also with 8 games for 5 dollars
Fire emblem, Zelda wind waker and fzero are some of my favorites. Would be surprised if you found fire emblem. That’s an uncommon also an expensive game. Fire emblem would be great for your collection. Solid title.
At the beginning of the pandemic, I went to a local pawn shop and talked the owner into selling me Pokémon Colosseum and XD for 150 for both in box. Big highlights in my small but growing collection.
I would recommend that if you ever end up going to half priced books I would give manga a try, manga has blown up in the past 2 years, half priced books usually has manga there for like $5 so you could easily make $4-5 per volume that you resell. Even more if it’s something that is out of print
That vr was a steal. The picture u showed him was beyond complete. The camera and the go controllers only come in bundles. I think I paid 400 for mine new last summer like that, and it didn't have any games, or attachment for the go controllers also is the game xchange by me the only one everything is in glass cases
GameCube is definitely holding up well. I love that you have such a wide selection in Ky to choose from. Here in NJ there are just a few hidden places to get GameCube games close to me. I did score Soul Caliber II, Ty 2, Megaman Anniversary Collection and Pikman on Black Friday. I can’t wait til Christmas morning to open them up and start playing. I love this Gamecube Gambit journey your filming.
Made me sad I had finally started a collection a couple years ago I had a bunch of gamecube games in mint condition and ps2 classic black labels and got stolen at least a good 1,000$ in game but this video made me want to go check all my local spots and start again
Hey! That disc drive error is really easy to fix. I just did it myself- basically the mechanism that tells the gamecubs is "closed" is vert fragile and can snap off. Its a really easy repair if you have the 8bit screwdriver
It could also be the potentiometer is either reading too high or two low, compared to the recommended setting for it to read discs. I bought a gamecube that had the same problem a little bit ago, just took it apart and adjusted that haha
I was big into GameCube matter of fact I'm selling my GameCube kiosk. Came out of circuit City many years ago still has the original TV on it. cube still working great.
The GameCube definitely holds up for me. It's a huge bucketlist item to do exactly what you're doing and try to recollect my old GC library with some upgrades of course. Top tier game for me is definitely Fire Emblem Path of Radiance. It's one that's gonna run you a couple hundred, but its so good
Super Mario baseball is one of my favorite GameCube games! I have well over 500 hours! Game is the best Mario game IMO ! Super competitive if your into that
I’ve made a decent amount reselling ink cartridges. Which I never would have expected. I’ve found a lot at goodwills for a few bucks and have sold them for anywhere from $10 to $50.
i know im abit late to the series but thats a solid list ya got there. if you ever choose to expand on that list though, you should get the resident evil 1 remake as well as zero. those were some of the best survival horrors in the gamecube era and if you can find it, eternal darkness as well. that ones a complete gem of a game
The PSVR bundle WITHOUT the PS4 console will not get you $300+. I didn't see you pick up a PS4 console, so even if you have all of the components for the VR system there, that's worth only about $170 to $180 on ebay (and then you have to pay fees, shipping, and other expenses such as packaging materials, etc.). However, you did get some VR games to go with that system, but that may be worth just another $50 or so after fees, shipping, and expenses (VR games don't go for much even when brand new & sealed).
I loved my time with the Gamecube. It was a great Japanese alternative to my Xbox. I don't really have any interest in playing SD games since I don't own a CRT any longer, but I've gotten remakes of games I had on GC - Ikaruga, Super Mario Sunshine, RE4 and Metroid Prime, and would happily buy more. I doubt I'm the only one! Come on Nintendo.
I don't know if you already have it for your GameCube collection, I also didn't see it on the list. But Resident Evil 4 is a must imo. It originally came out for the console in 2005. And is a staple of the horror genre and my all time favorite game imo. While I played it first on the PS2 I think having it apart of the collection would be fun
Gamecube is near and dear to my heart, possibly because it was the first console I bought with my own money but also the junior high and high school years of gaming hold the most nostalgia for me. Countless hours spent playing Melee and Double Dash among others. N64 had some absolute bangers but Gamecube games definitely are easier to go back to today due to the graphics and gameplay holding up better. It might also be the console where Nintendo had their best variety of first party and 2nd party titles. They greatly flexed their creativity without focusing almost entirely on control gimmicks. Plus it had the Gameboy Player to expand the library of games exponentially. Third party support was far better on Gamecube than N64 as well and because the tech kept up with their competitors (aside from disc space) playing the Gamecube versions of 3rd party games was rarely a worse experience than playing on Xbox or PlayStation 2. Come the Wii era, downscaled ports became the usual and motion controls rarely made up for that. The home of the best Paper Mario, the best F-Zero, arguably the best Mario Kart, the first 2 Pikimin, Chibi-robo and numerous exclusives. Is it any wonder why so many people want to be able to play Gamecube games on Nintendo Switch?
So the Game cube is my favorite system came out on my 14th birthday. Last year before the pandemic hit February 2020 I started to collect for my Gamecube it was an obsession spent a few thousand dollars and even managed to get a few sealed items. Including cubivore, well needless to say eventually it became too much and I just eventually stopped collecting I kinda lost interest to be honest, I have over 200 games easy.
This was a good watch , wish we had places like that in the UK. Gamecube definitely holds up today paper mario thousand year door is a fantastic game play it ! 👍
Well I just bought GameCube serious sam, shrek 2, viewtful joe 1+2, bulders gate, gauntlet legends, second sight, rainbow 6 lockdown, worms 3D, billy hatcher, Metroid prime 1, battalion wars.
For me its hard to say if the GameCube holds its weight in today’s standards. Because theres so many memories. With that being said if i was too never have one I would still say yes because the GameCube was the first console to make a switch like component to it. And that is the main reason people love the switch now a days
Mario Party has been fun no matter what age I was. I especially liked 64 even though that one mini game almost ate a hole in anyone’s hand that played it to win.

Great video. The Gamecube is criminally underappreciated.
Awesome video, got some heavy hitters for the GameCube, collection is looking good!
Timesplitters has to be my favorite FPS game of all time
I love your channel man keep up the good work!
Come to Los Ángeles!!
GameCube Gamit!!!
Nice GameCube collection!
I like to buy games that are liscensed or just look bad. If you go in expecting something bad, you can have some really funny experiences
Week in and week out gems on top of gems great pickups as always
The BFBB game you had has a pamphlet advertising other Nick games
I remembered when Mario Party 4 was delivered to my home the first night my brothers and cousin played it for about 5 hours straight!
I collect Bulbasaur things.
I have all the Bulbasaur cards except the B/W Japanese promo.
Bulbasaur Funko Pop, plushes, Keychain, etc.
Gambit Saturday! Let’s go. Great list.
Love the last game on your list. "A Zoids game" lol. Luckily there is only one for the GameCube.
Mario Super Sluggers has some core memories for me
So the Game cube is my favorite system came out on my 14th birthday.

"Yes, I'd love to buy that sick gaming headset"

“What is Caleb doing rn?” 😂😂😂 ☠️
SpongeBob rocks! I used to help my younger brother play through that one.
