I heard the screen was slow and unresponsive. Just watching this, it’s even worse than I thought. I do hope Samsung eventually add a physical push/dial. I liked that the other wash options were presented as a list rather than endlessly scrolling oversized icons.
I do agree, the touch screen isn't great. It isn't a deal breaker but the performance seems inconsistent. When scheduling a finish time, it responds well and quickly. When trying to get into the other cycle options, it doesn't seem to respond well.
I just got mine yesterday. I've found if I very deliberately press the power button and wait a moment, it will turn on and respond well enough after a few seconds.
That blue thing is a silicone cup they call the Aqua Pebble. It's intended to be used for laundry detergent that you don't have in a reservoir. The manual wants you to add detergent to it and balance it on top of the clothes before the cycle starts.
@@mikeferryall1424 ok. I think there is a cycle that's supposed to be 98 minutes. Do you find the drying needs to take a long time to get the clothes FULLY dry??
Is it suppose to spin and vibrate? Then stops? Or is that a balance issue with the feet of the unit? Mine does that same exact thing and I'm getting it exchanged on Friday. Seems off
I think it's trying to balance the load as best as it can. I'm not sure if that's a physical defect with the machine, a programming issue or working as expected. I don't have a problem with it.
Mine does the same thing. I think it senses if the load is out of balance and stops to shift the load around before trying again. I've run several loads through now and sometimes it takes several tries before the load is balanced enough for the spin cycle. I don't think it's a fault with the unit really, it might just not have enough self balancing force to counteract significantly unbalanced loads. I'm assuming it has a bead balancing ring, but don't know for sure.
@@joshl.6982 It's possible the quick wash and dry cycle might be sufficient for standard loads. I've been using the AI Opti Wash and Dry cycle and my clothes have come out feeling amazingly clean. It's really surprising to me how much cleaner they feel compared to an older top load I've been using and the Laundromat nearby. That alone is enough for me not to mind the long cycle times.
What about the heat exchanger ??? Sanding told me I had to buy a appliance brush to clean the heat exchanger if you don’t you will destroy this machine
We are two months into ownership with 60+ loads. 0 lint on the heat exchanger so far. I haven't bought an appliance brush yet. Hopefully I will never need to. The lint trap may be a bit of a pain to clean, but it works very well.
Awesome 👌 but I want these moderate washers and dryers to last a long time
Subscribed since you have a top model Samsung washer dryer!
It's a gorgeous machine!!!
Would like to see a full maintenance option video, especially when it comes to the heat pump
In a next video. Can u show the WashDry AI cycle?
11:36 When it spins, it appears to me that this machine has an LG Direct Drive Motor installed inside it
They need to make them stronger so they can last a good amount of time

Thanks for posting this. Am I seeing this right...the wash and dry took 3 hours and 18 minutes??
That was the initial estimate. It ended after 3 hours, 18 minutes.

@@gnewt75 Yes, it appears that Samsung has a long drying time to make sure the clothes come out warm (almost hot) and dry.

It’s nice to have one machine to do both wash and dry, but the whole wash and dry cycle just seems way toooooo long.
