I don't think Mazda cares about 0-60 times. I think the guiding principle is to make the vehicle more enjoyable and satisfying to drive overall. I spend 99% of my driving under 4500 RPM.

I've had a 3 GT since 2018 and I'm so used to the location of the volume knob that I tend to hunt for it when I drive other cars. The control make sense once you get used to them. The favorites button gets used all the time. The infotainment system is dated, but it works and makes sense. Other systems that I have used are horrible and confusing. Good review. I hope Mazda doesn't axe this offering. Happy New Year!

at 12:14 mark, you said the Signature 'comes with the optional 2.5 liter engine' which is incorrect. The Signature only comes with the 2.5 liter turbo engine--no options. I would have considered the 21 6 (from my '17 m3 gt hatchback) IF it came with the new infotainment center, but I guess Mazda isn't doing it as the new Mazda 6 cylinder vehicle is supposed to come out for 2023.

The Mazda6 is undeniably a beautiful vehicle. Just as it was when I seriously considered it along with the Accord 2.0L turbo Touring model and the Camry V6 NA XSE. On my personal scorecard it came out slightly behind the Accord and ahead of the Camry. I liked it a lot but I didn't buy it. I wasn't alone. Mazda sold about 31,000 "6s" in the 2018 calendar year. That dropped by a third in 2019. And in the first 3 quarters of 2020 Mazda sold fewer than 12,000 vehicles. Meanwhile, KIA sold nearly as many when it was introduced in September, the last month of the third quarter. If it turns out Mazda sold 15,000 "6's" in all of 2020, Mazda dealers will be grateful. Midsize sedan sales from all brands have been declining for years but none more so than the Mazda.
The reasons aren't difficult to find. An aging engine and transmission that are shared with almost every other Mazda vehicle, several of which are better suited platforms. Performance that neither lives up to its expected specs nor to that of the demonstrated performance of its rivals. An out-of-date infotainment system. A cramped rear seat and trunk. A small sun/moonroof vs panoramic versions in rivals. And perhaps most importantly the signature handling prowess of the Mazda no longer stands out so starkly compared to the improved versions of competitors. If it's better (and arguably it is), it's not nearly as noticeably better than it once was.
Mazda has promised a new generation for what seems like several years. But Mazda has an unfortunate but well earned reputation for promising early and delivering late if at all. Here's hoping the "6" gets some needed attention from Mazda before it disappears, altogether.

      I just bought the 2021
      Mazda 6 Touring
      White pearl outside
      Black inside
      I had a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek
It's about simple things that work
My Subaru had the same buttons but they didn't work from day 1. 😕
I bought this car and it feels like a bit of a downgrade because it doesn't have all wheel drive. Other items are upgrade...overall it's more of a trade off.
If it works thats all that matters

Wireless charging is redundant if you use Android Auto. Phone charges while it is connected for Android Auto. I never have to think about charging when I am driving my 6 so that particular feature would have made no difference for me. I am not sure what other high-end features are missing. The panoramic roof?

I'm quite confused about which model I have. 2020 was Mazda's 100th anniversary and I saw a special offer on their website which was too good to pass up. For $40 000 (after an $8 000 discount) I got the Mazda 6 Takumi. I'm European so our trim levels are called Challenge, Revolution, Evolution and Ultimate. In addition to Ultimate the Takumi gets the same front grill as the one in the video, which they call gun metal, lovely very dark brown Napa leather seats, 19 inch wheels finished in the same "gun metal" color, hand stitched leather steering wheel, LED lights for the feet of the driver and the front passenger, sunroof and a type of japanese wood called sen wood on the doors and dash which they say is the wood Fender uses to make their guitars. The only difference is the engine which is the naturally aspirated 2.5 liter with 194 hp since we won't be getting the turbocharged one in Europe. Everything else is the same as the car in the video.

Same design for how long? About 8 yrs now? Analog is always more reliable than digital. Those chrome not real chrome or aluminum. It's plated plastic. I wish they would include the tan Napa leather. 250hp and 320 ft lb should have been faster than the 2.0 Accord and the Camry v6. A lot more torque than the Accord 2.0 and v6 Camry. Could be the transmission is not tune to the best. And for the room in the back, anything with slopping roof is a sacrifices for headroom.
