Pretty sure I’m the only 16 year old kid who enjoys a review of a Mazda 6😂. Great review! Keep up the good content!

I bought a 2020 Mazda 6 in the deep crystal blue last year. Absolutely love it on the inside and out, and now that I have all weather mats and remote start installed I think it's the perfect daily driver!
One thing to point out w/ the 6 (I think you made a video about it at one point in the past), is that the 2.5 NA comes with cylinder deactivation, whereas the 2.5 turbo doesn't have that (similar across the line for Mazda w/ other models). I know this will be a make or break for some given the history of CD reliability and oil consumption issues with other manufacturers, and especially because Mazda hasn't been using this technology for very long. In my experience, I barely notice when it's active unless it's really cold out (the vibration absorbing material doesn't work well in low temperatures, I think). I have yet to see any issues w/ oil burning in forums. However, it will be interesting to see how well this holds up over time.

    Always liked that word “sky-active”
Sounds better than “eco bost” or “eco tech”

I love the Mazda gagues. It's easy to see at night and it has dimensions to it. Compared to digital it looks a lot cooler, although less versatile.

Hey, thanks for a detailed review! I'm considering buying a 2019 Mazda 6 with 31K km. My concern is that it is a discontinued model. Do you think this will be a big problem regarding maintenance and resale value? Thanks.

I'm sure It will hold it's value There aren't many sedans of this larger size that are as luxurious that handle as well with no CVT transmission and are as reliable, internal engine spare parts should not be an issue as the 2.5L skyactiv-g Is used across many model Mazdas so there's a lot of compatible interchangeable parts. As for resale I've seen many 2018-2021 mazda 6s past 150k miles still selling for ~$15k as long as they're in good condition. As for maintenance the car is very simple to maintain and fix because a fwd car is gonna have less parts than a rwd or awd and still having a transmission oil dipstick was a godsend for me. I would still buy a mazda 6 long term even though knowing that they have been discontinued in the US market simply because of how easy they're to fix and being that mazda sold enough of these cars that there are still many spare and aftermarket parts for them if anything were to go wrong.

This was one of the choices when my dad was looking at cars. 2018 Mazda 6, 2018 Honda Accord, or 2018 Toyota Camry. He ended up getting a 2018 Camry

Too bad Mazda doesn't have a luxury brand like Toyota/Nissan/Honda

I actually like the exterior pre-facelift better.

Me too...and the alloy wheels as well. Facelift is still an attractive car though.

These are nice, but the next gen is gonna be so much cooler with RWD and the Inline 6.

That ignition button is in a horrible location. Would hate to see greasy fingerprints there all the time.

I hate the face lift of the 3rd gen 6. The pre face lift 6 looked so much better and sporty. Mazda really did a bad with the face lift. Also dislike the facelift wheels. Only reason I’ll never buy a newer 6. I love that with the face lift they got rid of the black bottom trim on the rear bumper. I also love the new biger exhaust tips. But The car went from screaming “im a fun to drive sporty sedan” to luxury car.
This is just pure looks perspective tho. In every other way the newer facelift 3rd gen 6 is technically way better than the older ones in every way.
I personally like the the earlier 2014-2015 interior 3rd gen 6’s like mine more tho. I like simplistic interiors. I don’t want bug touch screens, digital gauges, and all of that I just want a radio, and simple button controls like older cars like my old 96 ford thunderbird had. No big touch screen very basic easy to use, gives me late 90s early 2000 interior vibes which I like. It’s the perfect blend of adding in some newer tech but still keeping things basic.

Sure do complain a lot about an incredible vehicle. Maybe buy something else?
