Hi Rebecca, in 2005 as I was living in Miami we were supposed to get a cat 1 hurricane "Wilma", but surprise, surprise, we ended up having a major cat 3 hurricane shooting 137 miles per hour winds on top of us in the middle ot he night. It was the only hurricane which I witnessed in 21 years that entered mainland southern Florida from the gulf coast side. I am not a meteorolgist, but all I can say is watch out with those babies that enter mainland from the gulf coast, it was catastrophic for us, to say the least. My best regards to you dear.

South Texas has been in a drought for years. Our water table in SA is down twenty (20) plus feet. We will take 4-6 inches any day.

Too funny. When they showed all six of the weather people at once, I thought it was a blizzard, white out announcement, not a hurricane warning.
All these so called weather men were slipping. I've been saying since before it hit the Barbados and others. That the wind shear wouldn't be able to fight a cat 4 . And the heat dome is gonna move in 5 days it's not just gonna wait for the hurricane. But whatever I'm a drop out. That's been watching and studying hurricanes since I was a kid. And I have a good track record on calling where the eye will make landfall. Maybe I should start my own channel

The Hurricane is hitting Rio Grande, Sargent, Corpus Christi on Sunday. Storm surge could raise water levels by as much as 1 to 3 feet above ground level.
Beryl is currently impacting portions of the coast of Cuba, the Cayman Islands, and the Yucatan Peninsula. It’s shifting north towards the Texas Gulf coast 😢
