The worst part of the zombies is that they say things like "dont worry, daddy will be home soon" and "mother I'm sorry" if you see one, fellow stalkers, put them down, if for no other reason than respect for a fellow human being. Good hunting stalkers.
It caught me off guard while replaying these games a year ago when I heard a zombie saying “find artefact”. I then jumped on YT to hear what else they say and I got sad so damn quickly.. what a terrible terrible fate especially for those “who had families” because player could conclude two things: That poor bastard was a soldier who was ORDERED to enter The Zone and was just trying to survive his contract Or a Guy who just wanted to make a quick quick buck for his family
I like Roadside Picnic's idea of the zone the most. Having aliens leave behind some 'trash' as a sort of roadside picnic that humans deem as treasures is just so unique as well as the presence of multiple zones to really show how insignificant humanity is in the face of these cosmic entities.
This aspect is probably one thing that adds a layer of spookiness to Into the Radius for me, because it's one that's harder to understand than most other Zones
I love the STALKER zone the most. Vaguely sticking to the origin shown in "Roadside picnic" but never really elaborated on, it remains the most mysterious out of the three
The zone really reminds me of how some people talk about the ocean or areas of Yosemite park you need to respect it and act with caution or you can and most likely will get hurt
What a coincidence for you to post this when I just bought the whole series on sale on Steam, and after I bought Roadside Picnic. Excited to watch this.
This is some fantastic content, thank you for your efforts. As fan of all three mediums interpretations, it was terrific seeing you make a visiual diagram discussing the similarities.
Soviet post futurism will always have the best aesthetics. Tarkovsky is my favorite director its incredible the stories that could be told even under Soviet censorship at the time. Really cool channel im glad it was recommended. Will watch the rest of this channel too seems right up my alley.

STALKER is proof zero people should listen to critics when they want to try something.

The human made zone and the noosphere are just kinda lame concepts and I am pretty disappointed by the fake wishes of the monolith.
I do enjoy the Roadside Picnic iteration, but I can appreciate what the other versions have to offer!

Cheering you on your journey in becoming a TH-cam essayist. Hell you're the only guy who covered Roadside Picnic in these things.
Thank you! And it's an important part of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s story!

It's a great series!
same, lol. But I'm gonna skip the story spoilers
The content you put out is incredible and it's criminal that it doesn't have more views.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoy it!
Good job on this video, it deserves much more than 10 k views.
Thank you!

I'll give it a look!
Looking back onto all three forms of STALKER media, the video game version just feels like an absolute butchery of the source material
The zone...the auto zone.
