Great Western Trail (TET UK) off road camping trip by bike - PART 2

- Took the 701 on the new section of the UK TransEuroTrail route down to Lands End on a 5 day camping trip.
And to be clear - off road means "not on the highway" in this context. At least, not too much! All the lanes and trails used are legal "tracks" and motorbikes are able to use them.

'Never ignore your bad feelings' very good advice! Great vids Mark genuinely amusing and interesting.If you want to cover those 'bad steps' get a lighter and simpler bike - a little Serow or a fantic or something around the 110kg. Just a thought.

I just finished TET Devon yesterday and done TET Cornwall before.
But don’t remember that bit. Was it further north? Or possibly one of the 3 or so lanes that were closed for maintenance I came across.

Exspectations can sometimes be a little anticlimactic! Lands End who’d of thought it. Entertaining video and useful info. Hard when riding on your own and that little voice that says “you’ll be sorry if you try it” thanks for sharing

I once had to turn my bike round at the top of a cliff, as track ended, took me 30mins going back and fourth to turn it around, lol...Never been so scared in my life :-(
Been there! But after wards - don't you have a GREAT nights sleep! It's like the human body is supposed to be scared, stressed...and then solve the problem and get you home safe. It's what stress and fear SHOULD be - not 24/7 worries about your mortgage or your kids exam results - stuff that gives you a heart attack at 50!

Use the stand to pivot the bike, helped me no end when I needed to turn my 1090r around in a similar situation (two big ruts)

Absolutely.In fact I could’ve done it with anything from a CFR 250 L up to a BMWGS

@@MarkLewisfitness thanks for the info., I have heard their having some trouble with their FI systems on the Husqvarnas. Maybe it's just the dirt bikes.
