It is nice to actually see the reality of life's actual challenges being experienced by people and not just a Hollywood style fantasy of often things that aren't reality. You are a brave woman to put your truths on here for everyone to see. Something that is acknowledged and appreciated, not only by me but I would presume many others also. Though some life challenges can be harder than what some may never experience. I thank you for sharing your highs and lows with us. May your journey be safe and self pleasurable wherever it takes you.

Being a modern nomad is difficult and brain draining. Back in the day (pre digital photos) I made travel logs with three cameras and putting together 35 mm dissolve slide presentations with sound. At some point my life changed. I lost interest in sharing my travels. Now I collect memories with no desire to share with others, except over a beer with a few likeminded friends. Now that I'm in my 80's I only carry an iPhone and never bother to pull it out of the grab bag on my handlebars. The trips are shorter and closer to home with no set goal or destination other than exploring back roads and places never visited close to home.
Totally understand. I've never really had the urge to share it with people at home. They are so far away and in a totally other world they wouldn't even understand. Also, if I see all these vloggers and instagrammers I sometimes think "are you doing it for yourself and the adventure or to brag about it to other people. Live in the moment all people!
I think what I've most enjoyed about your cycling videos isn't just the physical journey you went on but also your personal journey. You seem a more mature, wiser, and more centred person than the one who set out at the beginning.
Good to see you on TH-cam again. It's clear how much you have grown and matured over the last while. I'll look forward to seeing your highlights and ordeals of your amazing journey. Travel safely and keep pushing one pedal in front of the other!

safe travels and nice update. i back packed for 2.5 years and one morning in beijing i couldnt be bothered to go and see the forbidden palace. it was at this point i knew it was time to reset and get back into 'normal life' routine.. that was back in 1996. i still adventure travel quite a bit (incl bikepacking and 125cc scotter packing) but these days i tend to keep it to max 12 weeks as i find its a better balance for me these days..

Thank you for this calm, healthy, honest and welcome update. I followed you throughout the pandemic, etc, and afterwards and am very happy to see this next chapter in the life. I certainly appreciate the decision to "log off" for awhile but it's a double edged sword as so many people were living vicariously through your adventures.
Thanks for the update. You seem so relaxed and rested in this video compared to the others I saw, which probably made sense since the days you shot your videos you probably were already quite busy all day long and also 'had' to shoot videos in probably stressful periods. I also love your explanation about how the excitement and the flow you were in on your way to Iran made you put making vlogs aside. Even while my travels and vacations were nowhere as exciting as yours, I have stopped years ago going on vacation with friends who just spend all time just planning everything and wanting to make as many pictures as possible, especially from tourist traps. Instead I prefer to go solo, plan as little as possible and have fun meeting new people, and exploring new places with them together. From some of my most memorable events during vacations, I generally end up having no pictures at all. Enjoying the flow as you put it, is a good way to describe it.
