I bought a 256 GB version in a very beautiful blue color without a sim card, this is my first iPad, and I will buy a second one very soon. This iPad is able to work well for at least 5 years, I will use it as much as 10 years. And in 10 years, my iPad will still work properly. Remember the first Mini iPads, and understand that this is a miracle, the iPad Air M1 will work for a very long time Thank you for this miracle!
Watching this on my IPad Air 5 (256 GB version) and I’m an artist. This tablet in my opinion is a pretty decent digital sketchbook, which is what I bought it for. If you’re an artist like me I recommend getting a case with a hand strap on the back as holding it with one had for extended periods of time gets exhausting. I got the large storage because I knew I would be downloading videos, music and photos for my art. I haven’t consumed more than the standard 64 GB tablet, but I’m getting close with procreate consuming about 2 GB by itself. I don’t think I’ll ever get past 100 GB. The tablet is capable of producing art identical to that on my PC, with decent layers too. If any artist looking at getting this tablet wants to know how many layers specifically for each canvas I’ll reply to them in the comments. I’ve already produced some decent pieces and this tablet has more than enough power for the most professional artists out there and has become the main driver in my profession. I use it more than my phone and laptop, but I don’t use social media as often a the normal person so it varies. The battery life is meh, at 100% it only lasts an hour with the screen at full brightness. At 75% brightness it lasts about 4 hours. At 50% it lasts for more than 6 hours. At 25% this thing has lasted me about a day and a half on a full charge. My biggest fear is sitting on this thing because if feels so light out of the box. It’s thinner than a pencil so be careful. Definitely get a case and screen protector because you will more than likely drop it or scratch it over time. 10/10 would recommend.
I bought the IA5 256GB cellular version as a way of future proofing my iPad. I won’t need to upgrade it for years to come. Sure I could’ve went with the Pro, but for the features of the IA5 is just what I needed. The Pro has features that I may want, but they’re more like bonus features when the Air 5 can get it done.
In my opinion, the 120hz screen is not just a “bonus feature” you can go without. When I use my tablet the screen is used every time so it makes sense for this to be the most important feature to have on a tablet. The upgrade to pro just for the screen alone was totally worth it for me. When you experience 120hz you will never go back to 60.

I'm still using an iPad 2 with 16 GB storage. I mainly use it at the gym to watch videos on the treadmill. It's too heavy for reading books. I use an iPad mini 5 for reading books. I use Apple Videos or VLC to watch videos and just move stuff on and off as I need it. At home, I can just use the home cloud. I would like a newer iPad but I can't say that I need one. Other uses are as a clock or workout timer. I do think about upgrading to an iPad mini 6 but I can't say that I really need one. The mini 5 is still a great tablet.
I received my beautiful new blue iPad Air 5, 64 last week after waiting over 3 weeks and was so excited. I currently have an iPad Air 3 and I loved the new design and color. I have all my photos and documents stored in iCloud and have the iPad set to optimize storage to the cloud. However, with using it the first day, I kept getting messages that the iPad storage was full and I needed to delete things. I was also surprised that I didn’t notice a speed difference for normal use from my Air 3. Needless to say I returned the Air 5 today and will continue to use my Air 3.
What probably occurred, when setting it up you pressed transfer data instead of don’t transfer data. That probably moved you saved data from the iCloud from your iPad 3 to the new iPad causing it to fill up. You could do a factory reset and turn off iCloud back up. That’s what I did on my iPad 5 as to me not wanting any fotos or data trasfering to the iPad.
@@badrinarayanbhol701 for me it’s Lightroom as a professional photographer, the 64gig is perfect, because Lightroom just uploads the images to the cloud and deletes them from local storage. Face ID is very overrated and less secure than fingerprints, you could add heat signature or pulse detection to the fingerprint reader to ensure that it is a living person and the security would go up at a faster rate than adding more technologies to Face ID. Also, you can unlock your device without looking at it with your fingerprint and by the time you are looking at it the animations are done with the home screen ready, so it is also faster. Also, Apple could remove the module for Face ID and there would be more space for a slightly larger battery, which I believe to be a better use of the space. Last, the battery life would be just a little higher since Face ID consumes more energy to operate than Touch ID as there are multiple technologies working together to make Face ID. I also hope they don’t add wireless charging and make the battery smaller since space would have to be made to add it. really dislike the apple pencil and writing experience tho on my surface pro 8 (before I returned it for a MacBook m1 air just 6 hours ago!) even at 60hz it's more responsive than iPad Pro 120hz with goodnote. the apple pencil's nib is too thick which makes writing small harder and makes you write big which is a pain because you constantly are moving your hands etc . on the surface pro it felt more natural and less fatiguing. I like the haptic feedback in the surface's slim pen 2 too. it helps a bit. the iPad Air specially is so delayed and "laggy" and just doesn't feel great
Would be a perfect tablet if it had a better refresh rate. For a midrange tablet, the Air should at least be 90hz by now. The first 90hz models started coming out in 2017. With Apples extremely slow pace at introducing old tech as something new to their products they are running behind schedule because it usually takes them about 5 years. 60hz should only be in low entry base level products by now. Funny how Apple was the very last company to have 120hz screens compared to every phone/tablet manufacturer known. Guess they don’t have enough operating capital to be innovative and have the latest and greatest technology anymore. 🤷♂️

Hi. I've just ordered iPad Air after using 6th generation iPad into the ground. So watching copious reviews and accessory videos. But I'm curious about the blue keyboard. Can you share the details please?
Hi dear I have anew iPad Air 5 . I am an old man with vision deficiency. I tried all functions to make permanent full screen display for my Facebook , can you help.
Thick screen bezels, chassis made of foil, fake speaker grills (4 grills just for design, in fact only 2 speakers on the inside), 6.1mm fake thickness (7mm in reality due to camera protrusion), no headphone jack (for connecting a decent mic its a must), touch id in the power button which is (subjectively, had a 4th gen air) easier to smudge than round touch id button. Only 7600mah battery. Yeah its got M1, but you dont need that kind of power on a sub 12inch 60hz screen. Better get a 2018 12.9 inch Pro (still for stationary use only, or to use with a massive bulky case).
IPad Air 5 will get 7 years of OS updates. Easy recommendation! Samsung will give you 3-5 years (with security updates). I have a Samsung phone but a MacBook so I went with the iPad Air as it can extend as a display as well for me.
Meh who wants a 7 year old device which has zero battery life left and which Apple has slowed to a crawl with 'updates'? These things need replacing on 3-5 years due to battery life and tech moving on.

I've been thinking about the facts, and even though everyone says it's not enough, I think it's perfectly fine. This is perfectly sufficient for some common use (for example, a few applications) and the rest is always stored in the cloud. I'd go for it.

I purchased the iPad Pro 128 gb with the M1 chip from Amazon for $699. I’m selling my old iPad Air 4 on eBay.
3:00 my mate literally willing to forget about the existence of the base iPad generations
Would you suggest the iPad Air 5 or a refurbed iPad Pro 2018 model?
Thanks for sharing. There are many features to like about the M1 Air 5. Blessings on your day!
I bought Air 5 and this is my first apple device and after this review i am feeling bad over not choosing S8
My first apple product is iPhone Se, it’s an incredibly smooth experience 🤩
Why?
I'm about to buy a space Grey one. Really wishing the best for the build quality 🤞
I bought the space gray and i have no build quality issue
Think it is mostly in people's head the problem.
Which is better for a student, ipad or laptop?
Yeah nah mate, I'm buying the tab s8 in a couple of hours. I don't want to be limited by apples ecosystem, I'll enjoy plugging my 1tb storage s8 into any computer and transfer movies, music and so on freely without apples software limitations.
Does the built quality issue at the back of Air 5 is solved ? Because I read a lot of comments on Reddit and they said their device have this problem.
I have mine now for around 10 days. Its Space grey and also has some of the build quality issues. However Its not bad and I dont notice it, while using it normally. I have to press hard on a specific Spot.
@@johannesf.2524 does your Ipad good now? 64gb storage is enough for daily use?
@@tuanleanh6479 I have 64GB of storage and it’s fine for me. I’m not a person who takes a lot photos and I don’t have 20+ Games or Movies on my IPad. After downloading everything I needed, I still had 30GB left and I didn’t even deleted Apples own Apps like Garage Band, Keynote,…
But I also have a Laptop with 1TB, so if at any time storage wouldn’t be enough. I could download movies etc. on my laptop.
You could also get apples ICloud upgrade for 0.99€/ month. There you get 50GB of cloud storage for photos, documents etc.
And if you buy a case, you won’t notice the build quality issues.
@@tuanleanh6479 and most amazing thing are the 8GB of RAM. I don’t mind not having 120hz, however I don’t have any device with 120hz. I would only like to have the better speaker system from the IPad Pro. If the Air had this, it would be perfect for me.
@@johannesf.2524 thanks for the advice. I'm going to upgrade from my Ipad gen 8th. Your advice is very useful. One more thing, do you think using Apple One is a good idea?
Watching with my iPad air5, great deal.
Another great video! I've been deciding on a new Ipad for myself and this definitely helps. Btw...what keyboard are you using. Love the look!
I so agree with your comment regarding the storage. I felt cheated.
I love your videos! Thanks for all of the content! I’ve been following for a couple months now.
Hey, so I know I'm a bit late to this vid but I do have a question, is 64 gb enough if I have a MacBook and ICloud?(as a student)
Thanks

You need a video on that keyboard / keycaps ;)
I bought mine in the blue color after it came out and so far it really good I’m not and the apple ecosystem and it’s still good
I feel something in the back of the iPad Air 5th blue

A bit scared to purchase one of these since people have been complaining a lot about crecking sounds tho… 😔 I think I will buy the 9th gen as my first ipad

I’m no Apple fan boy, but there is no comparison between other tablets and the iPad. I can’t quantify peoples individual preferences, but objectively there is no better performing tablet out. Period
They finally gave you your extended monitor support in iPad OS 16. What’s your opinion about it now?
where is the slamming stuff on the table trademark? 😂
can you make an updated video on this regarding stage manager
64 gbs is a tough sell
Hey I think they fixed your display issue with iPad os 16, yeah?
Im still using the ipad pro 10.5 the new ones are lovely but ive no reason to upgrade until this one stops working.
So close in price to the pro that its crazy to go for the air.
i just want full office apps on ipad
really dislike the apple pencil and writing experience tho
on my surface pro 8 (before I returned it for a MacBook m1 air just 6 hours ago!) even at 60hz it's more responsive than iPad Pro 120hz with goodnote.
the apple pencil's nib is too thick which makes writing small harder and makes you write big which is a pain because you constantly are moving your hands etc . on the surface pro it felt more natural and less fatiguing. I like the haptic feedback in the surface's slim pen 2 too. it helps a bit.
the iPad Air specially is so delayed and "laggy" and just doesn't feel great
bro, did i hear you right? if you're in the apple eco system, you'll recommend the tab s8? 😁 or i understood wrong?
Where do you get those cool wallpapers from? I would like to know.
Can you do a comparison between iPad Air 5 and iPad Mini 6?
FULL EXTERNAL DISPLAY!!!
LOL I know you been talking about apple should do this for the longest.
How do you find the battery life?
I had a 256gig one on order and decided to cancel it and go for the 12.9 inch Pro didnt want regrets later on as paying the extra storge upgrade price doesnt make it very attractive.

Hi. I've just ordered iPad Air after using 6th generation iPad into the ground. So watching copious reviews and accessory videos. But I'm curious about the blue keyboard. Can you share the details please?
Hello I’ve been using my iPad Air for about a week and have been noticing it getting warm and hot is that normal does yours do that.
On browsing netflix or browse lifestyle site
I’m considering getting an iPad for content consumption and note taking; will 256gb be enough storage?
256gb is plenty of storage unless u plan on editing videos
Will air 5 charge an iphone like the pros
I want that mechanical keyboard! What brand is it so I can buy one just like it?
The one he was drawing on? It's called a razer huntsman mini
Goku keyboard was incredible.
excuse me what is your keyboard and its name thank you.
How is video editing in air ?
I love your videos😍
iPad air 5 vs Samsung Tab S8 Plus ...which one should you get???
IPad Air 5 will get 7 years of OS updates. Easy recommendation! Samsung will give you 3-5 years (with security updates). I have a Samsung phone but a MacBook so I went with the iPad Air as it can extend as a display as well for me.
Meh who wants a 7 year old device which has zero battery life left and which Apple has slowed to a crawl with 'updates'? These things need replacing on 3-5 years due to battery life and tech moving on.
Person buying iPad to the Apple ecosystem: "Hum bhi bana lenge"!
🤣
64gb good for long term? Cant afford anything more than that

I wanna know if 64gb is enough for a student who will only used It for goodnotes and some files that can be storage in iCloud, I mean, this won't be my primary device cause I have my phone and my 256gb Mac, but I willl be using this iPad for like 5 years...
SOS
I've been thinking about the facts, and even though everyone says it's not enough, I think it's perfectly fine. This is perfectly sufficient for some common use (for example, a few applications) and the rest is always stored in the cloud. I'd go for it.
Hi dad, will it be okay if i just buy the baseline 64gb but along with USB flash drive? Or if still not enough, i can just go for additional iCloud drive right? Im buying this for my business uses & light editing

Man, if you don’t care about 120 Hz refresh rate, or micro LED, the 11 and 12.9 inch iPad Pro is kind of useless
Id probably say yes, but i think the 12.9 in would be pretty good for some people (including me) cus i like the huge screen. Hopefully they make one thats less expensive but 12.9 in so youve got best of both
and speaker and faceid
@@cyberdasherxd2505 for common use, the speakers are quite good and the face id is not such a necessary thing to have and the fingerprint is still good enough.
120hz is kinda essential if you have tried it before so i def wouldn't buy a tablet with high refresh rate display

Screen distortion issues. Don’t buy it . Creaking back . I just returned from Apple store . I checked 7 units there . All do the same . I am selling my unit .
I see why you are anonymous! No problems with any of mine.
@@janeS9773 Screen distortion from normal light touches (no, not applying any extra pressure) is a thing for all iPads with laminated screens. I had opportunity to check 3 iPads: Air 4 (RU), Air 5 (UK), Mini 6 (CN). All of them had this issue. It is clearly seen on dark-ish gray background. I use dark theme but noticed that pretty much every reviewer had light theme - thus it would be more difficult to notice screen distortion.
Want to see this on your iPad? Open solid gray image on fullscreen, tap screen at different spots and watch.
P.S: The problem of this is issues is not that it is annoying (although it is), but that it demonstrates that the lcd panel is likely to get damaged over time and the question is - how soon.

You are delusional that the padOS is anywhere as good has macOS, Windows, or Linux when it comes to creative or gaming.
