Everyone has a German car. After owning 3, I’m very pleased with the rc. Nice not having the check engine light go on every 2 months. Turns heads as well👍🏻
Same, I was looking for something that can superpass my 35yo shitbox both in fun and simplicity and decided that nicely wrapped toyota will be perfect.
I just bought a 2016 RC350 F-Sport a little over a week ago. Although it’s a 2016, it has less than 35,000 miles on it, and appears very seldom driven. I got it for a great price. I LOVE IT so far. Fun to drive, handles great, and (looking very much like the car in this video) looks fantastic. Red leather interior. Rear wheel drive, about 307 horse power. So not amazingly fast, but fast “enough”. I love the fact that they are rare in the road. Very unique! People have already complimented me on it, and asked me what it is when I’m filling up. Anyway, so far I couldn’t be happier with my choice in a two door coupe.
You can actually add after market apple car play to it as well. There is a place that can add a plug and play kit to it to allow you to even use factory track pad. I did it ages ago and it still works great.
I just bought a 17 with the red interior. I had a sc430 for 10 yrs it had 103,000 miles and ran perfect all those years. I pick my car up this Monday. I trust these cars. Toyota / Lexus and phenomenal cars!!!!
Got a 15 rc350 nebula grey and red interior and yes everything said from vid to the comments it’s true turns heads people question and yes it’s a boat but a beautiful one
I'm 25, just bough my first big boy car and it's an RC, I'm super happy with it. When I'm going home I can count with one hand the number of Lexus I see, my RC was the first one I've ever seen, it makes you feel exclusive when you are near the 50th merc o bmw of the day. And even tho its heavy and big, it's a fun car, I don't go home through the Nurbugring or Monza, it's cool reliable boy.
I also concur it really is an unappreciated great car that one day 15 2025 years from now people are gonna look back and think that car was actually fantastic value for money and it doesn’t break down ever because it’s a Lexus and then people are going to really start buying them then and prices are just going to skyrocket just like the Mark for Toyota supra a little less than 15 years ago you could pick one up for a nice one for $25-$30,000 end it was the manual cars that were cheaper used but now they’re almost $100,000 car especially for a nice one it’s gonna be the same thing I’m just happy I have an RC 300 F AWD already in ultrasonic metallic blue with tan interior build quality on the interior is fantastic It’s definitely the best looking new car and I would argue that that is the only Lexus that can pull off that wide symbol grill I’m not a fan of it myself but I actually like it on that car and also the LC can pull it off pretty good to
Back in 2018, I wanted to see the new Maxima model, I always liked that car and thought it looked pretty sleek. I already had a 2015 Sonata that I was very happy with, I did not need or want another car, looking at the maxima was just something for me to do. Across the street was a Lexus dealer, so I figured why not take a look. I never owned a Lexus but had an appreciation for them and thought they were generally out of my league without really knowing. When I walked in the lobby, I saw this glistening black coup with metal flake in the paint. As I approached and saw the angle change and got more of a side view, I was drawn in and took a slow walk around this AWD 350 F Sport and was amazed at the styling from any side, any angle. I opened the door and as blown away as I was from the exterior, the interior was even better, truly a cockpit surrounded in butter soft, camel colored, leather bucket seats and a wide console that seemed so perfectly laid out. The drivers seat reminded me of my catchers mitt when my played organized baseball, it just fit and felt perfect, molded to my hand. That’s how this seat felt, it just engulfed me and was more comfortable than any chair or couch I sat in. After I looked around the exterior/interior, I went to check on the pricing that was on window sticker. I thought for sure the cost was going to be beyond my means but was shocked to find It was much less than I thought it would be and was within my means if I wanted to do it but I had no reason to get another car, it would be foolish for me to do. After all, I’m not a young guy and I didn’t need another bill to contend with every month, so I went home. I spent the rest of the weekend thinking about that car. I couldn’t focus on work on Monday, I kid you not. I went over in my mind a hundred times why I shouldn’t get that car. It didn’t work. I called the dealer and the two days later I signed the lease papers and picked up MY car, without even test driving it. I figured it’s a Lexus, how bad could it be. On the ride home, it was dark outside now so I got to see the dash in all it’s glory but as amazed as I was with the interior/exterior, the ride was equally impressive. I felt like I was in a sedan, a touring car. It handled and performed perfect, I couldn’t have been any happier. I have no need to go zero to 60 in 5 seconds, I’m not interested in speed, but this baby has all that I need and then some. 3 years later when my lease was up, no way in hell was I going to turn this car in and say goodbye, so I bought it outright and now it really is my car. I’m just as happy with it 4+ years later as the day I first took it home. My only complaints are this. The moonroof is archaic and looks terrible, it cheapens the car. My Sonatas moonroof is far better and more modern. The Lexus is the same that you’d see on any 1980s car. What were they thinking? The other issue are the map/storage compartments on the door panels. I can’t get my hands in there. It’s almost useless because it’s so narrow but those are relatively very minor complaints, the cons. The Pros are everything. It does suck on gas mileage in the city. Highway is much better and it handles surprisingly well in the snow. It is a heavy car and with the AWD, I haven’t gotten stuck yet or fishtailed like my Sonata, which is horrible in the snow.
My sister contracted cancer 2 months ago and chemo prevents her from driving I have a 2010 f-150 Platinum grew up with 68 Daytona Orange road runner then a 69 and a 72 coronet rt but holy crap the Lexus is faf and handles like a dream all traction AWD can't chirp tires and so far never slips and as the last review I've only seen two. I'm U.T.
yes its really rare here in IL specially the f awd versions. in cali its a different story. been wanting to get my hands on one even though used price are crazy compared to other coupes. the only real reason why you would pick this car is if your truly dig it cause not only that its slow and heavier compared to competitions its also more expensive than the rest of them even used. still i want one.
It doesn't look as good without the triple beam LED headlights though. These were standard on the F sport in Oz. If you Are buying a rear wheel drive F sport model make sure it is 2016 or later too as the earlier ones don't have an LSD.
Have owned a 335I , this time around I considered a 440I but went with a RC 350 f sport. The Lexus is nicer inside than the bmw and obviously more reliable and less extensive to maintain. Also less costly to insure. That and I rarely see car like mine, I see lots of cookie cutter beemers…
agreed. I had 335I and went to an IS350 which I loved then upgraded to RCF. Beemers are EVERYWHERE and for sure have a limited life span before they cost a fortune to maintain.
I have a 2015 , I'm wondering is that the first year lexus 350 F sport came out. I love the lines and and styling on the car, get a lot of looks , all the the time
Been ogling over these the last few weeks. Despite specifically looking for any on the road to see one up close, I have yet to spot one. Hoping to buy one soon, just need to find the color combo I want haha
Thanks, I bought a 2023 F SPORT about five months ago and love it. I didn’t know how to adjust the mirrors in reverse or the key fob features. Mine will start, but the windows will not roll down using the fob. I wonder if it’s a feature that can be unlocked.
@@SimpleCarGuy Yeah they only really sold the hybrid model in Scotland before cancelling it in 2020. Its an economical vehicle with good looks. Shame its slow and I found the 2019 model I drove heavy.
I am in Glasgow in Scotland and thinking about buying one of them when I get my driving licence as my first car😂 only thing I am afraid is that thieves target these cars to steal catalytic converters.
This is an educated guess based on what I know about vehicles, but the differential for the front axle will be next to the motor, and the half shafts going out to the wheels will run underneath the motor. You want those half shafts to go straight out to the wheel, to prevent wear on your CV joints. My educated guess is this sets a minimum location for the wheel at ride height. I kind of wish they would have raise the rear end as well to give it a rally car look
The 300 AWD looks more like designed for harsher conditions like snow and suburban roads. It's perfect for daily driving, I can jump on any shit i want without worrying.
I wonder what year this is. Is it nebula grey? I like it just like this. Don’t prefer the partial color leather ones and wish they came is a solid light tan color. I guess black will be best for me.
I just got the 2021 RC. One of the buttons on the center console is missing it’s cover. If you’re holding the shifter in the park position, it’s directly to the left of your thumb knuckle. Can anybody tell me what that’s for?
Niche car is a nice way of saying it doesn't sell. Laughably outdated and outclassed and out performed. But yeah the 350 model uses a V6 from 2006 so yeah it's reliable. As if that is an accomplishment.

How's the gear box? Il need to test drive one I know but I have heard they aren't very good. Just wondering what an owner thinks.
hows the ride quality?

Does anyone know what the nipple-looking thing is next to the headlight? I've only seen that one some RC's not all of them have it.
Headlight washer
Yeah it is a tad odd but due to the angle of the headlights it was the only way they could get the washer to function properly.
