The part about customer service was gold for me. I think anxiety around providing customer service is a key reason why I haven’t started or have dragged my feet. I keep picturing retail karens blowing up my email!
Great video! I used printify, but prices for shipping were outrageous. When it comes to delivery outside of the states. For example, a pair of leggings to be shipped to Canada is 29.09. Another one is a yoga mat, which was 65.00 to ship to Canada, and the mat is 81.00 ..and you do free shipping, you are paying for the shipping costs. Printify is horrible for ppl outside of the States !
Thank you for your videos! I really appreciate you. The mindset you share in this video helped me so much 😊 I just started my first pod store and come back to your channel all the time!
Joe! It's like you read my mind! I'm about a month in and so overwhelmed with basic questions. I've watched all your videos, including the POD for dummies and it's great. So I just got my first order this week and it's for 60 of the same items for a business. How in the world do I handle shipping for that? Do I just offer free shipping and eat the fees? I see it's almost $3 per each extra item and I'm afraid I won't make any profits. My profit margin is set at 20% btw. thanks!
Congrats, if the order is already placed wouldn’t the situation with shipping already be done since the order is complete? Meaning you can go back and retroactively change the shipping
@@RealJoeRobert actually I canceled the order because shipping wasn’t being charged as I didn’t have it set up at all! Lol. I didn’t expect an order this to come through especially as my first. So I canceled the order and told the customer I would circle back to him. So honestly, I don’t even know, what to do! Smh
I have not made a video like that before there are hundreds of different print on demand products we can sell and I think you would have to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to get started producing all of them yourself not something I’ve ever considered doing
When you were talking about a customer ordering 3 different items and getting free shipping, does that mean I am absorbing the $20 shipping? What if someone orders bulk shirts from my shop and the shipping I am absorbing is expensive. How do I ensure I am not breaking even, or worse yet, losing money? Thank you.
Yes they are your supplier, there are 2 separate transactions. One from your buyer, and one with you and your supplier (Printify or another POD supplier)
@@RealJoeRobert I mean that prices of creating the products and shipping are so high that I wonder if anyone will buy it . Companies that sell in volume sell so much cheaper.
Another great video, Joe. What are your thoughts on offering 'free shipping' for all orders as you start a store, with the intention of increasing margins when sales begin grow?
How does one actually handle multiple orders such that shipping isn't charged on amounts over a spending level? Wouldn't they be charged and shipped automatically?
Well of course the items would be shipped automatically- in this case you could do a flat rate so that way you’re not charging the customer a crazy shipping price to get a couple of items
@@RealJoeRobert Thanks for your reply but I'm obviously missing something. If things are shipped automatically how does one go back and charge a flat fee? The orders have been taken and processed by the POD/supplier. Wouldn't I be seeing the order after-the-fact? Thanks in advance.

Great video, Thank you. I’m not sure if I missed a video about keeping inventory vs POD.

Great video to the point 👍 Thanks Joe 🌺🍀🐞
Hey thanks 😊
Very good video. Would have needed this last year 😅
Well, glad you saw it now 😊
Great video, idk if you're talking too fast or if I'm listening too slow.. But I need to watch again to catch all the tips lol
lol 😆

The only solution would be to price your products. Accordingly, shipping charges are charged to us by the print on demand companies.
woah, I didn't notice that part about having to pay Printify separately. I assumed it was all done behind the scenes. Thanks for the info.
Yes they are your supplier, there are 2 separate transactions. One from your buyer, and one with you and your supplier (Printify or another POD supplier)
@@RealJoeRobert is there a way to do this POD without having to charge such high prices?
@blueskiesandgreenpasturesp3848 not sure what you mean

Any time!
Hey Joe, for the metal signs specifically the personalized ones. I noticed you use Adobe, can I use canva to make a those metal design? Thanks
Yes
@@RealJoeRobert ok thanks, the only problem with canva is that you can't add holes.

How do you have two POD suppliers on your SHOPIFY Store?
You just do, you can have a hundred if you want. Just connect them to the store and publish products
@@RealJoeRobert Thx Joe.

Hey Joe what print on demand makes the basketball and sports goods? I use printful I don’t see any basketballs. Would you please advise? Ty
Did I show one in this video I don’t think I did? Teelaunch has sports balls is that the one you’re looking for?
@@RealJoeRobertThere were sports balls in the video, but they are on Teelaunch as you mention.
