Wow, Joe didn’t make much money in the first 6 months and he says give yourself grace not to be very good at POD at first - I am so encouraged! Great video. Thank you
Thank you so much for stating the reality that success doesn't come overnight. It is frustrating and discouraging seeing so many "I made thousands of dollars in my first 30 days" videos. And honestly, some of the big TH-cam P.O.D. channels are guilty of this. So, hearing you both address this (especially now in Q4) is very refreshing and encouraging. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
TY for this video. I literally went back in my store, & made some changes because of this video. I still feel frustrated because I have been working so hard at this, & was hoping to do better. I like what you all said about sticking with it. TY for all u 2 do.
The highlights of this video are that fact that Joe didn't make any sales for the first 6 months, I sometimes question if I'm doing it wrong but this is really helpful to hear. Second, was the saying you need to climb my mountain to see my view.
Joe could you possibly make a more technical video for possible likely issues newbies are likely to face on the shop and sales end ? For example I know POD doesn’t hold inventory but do you ever have to front customers money if their payment doesn’t go through in time ? Thank you for the constant value videos.
I have videos all about that in the free course I have in the description, I talk about it when I demonstrate how to set up your Shopify payments account.
I was off to a good start with POD on Etsy but they suspended me with no explanation. They said they couldn't tell me for security reasons. So now I am trying to turn my Shopify store into a hybrid of dropshipping and POD for a full clothing line. But my problem is I have no money and no traffic.
Great video as always ,Joe! Can you use printify for Etsy( already set up previously)AND Shopify on the same email? Is it recommended to keep them on separate printify emails or it doesn't really matter if they are both on the same email account? Thanks !
Hi Joe, Great tips in this video. What about trade marks regarding photography ? Can I print on demand a picture that I took of a car ? or a drawing I made of a sport car (assuming the drawing is realistic and looks like the original) Thanks for reply
Hi Joe - thank-you for sharing this video. I enjoyed hearing you and Cassiy share your words of wisdom with us. I wish you would have also shared why you picked Shopify specifically as the platform to build your POD business on, as opposed to all the others. Likewise with Cassiy, why she chose Etsy. I am just starting out learning what I can about POD. Thanks again.
Hey there thanks for watching, I have several videos here on my channel where I deep dive into that - this video wasn’t the place for it with Cassiy being with me!
What about the legal aspect so you got to get your tax ID and everything before you start your store and how does it work when you're online selling that a lot of people you only pay taxes in the state that you live
I have had 5 sales in 5 months and all to family. I have a general store of t-shirts and sweatshirts. I think I’m going to niche down and change the name.
Okay, so let's say I wanted to start my very own clothing brand that takes inspiration from well know brands like, Nike, Adidas, and Puma or various other street/sport urban wear brands? Would that still be considered random in terms of design? For example, say I make a collective amount of designs that aren't really random, but ideas I've had for a while that are just surrounded by my brand name? Does that effect the success of a store?
The biggest issue you are going to be facing is now you are competing with Walmart as well they are selling the same shirts as seen on Etsy so most people can now get those same designs shipped to them that day. As far as Branding goes it also factors into how your site looks. If you are stuck in the Dawn theme selling clothing as a Brand take time to grow and don't catch quick because you are trying to sell the brand through the product so you have to think of the product as the brand. Knowing this if you go into a niche with the idea of branding right away that is fail mode, I know this from experience. Etsy looks easy but you can get banned within hours for no reason at all I know this too from experience. In all POD is not easy to finish the way you want it is easy to start. So far I have found quite a few ways not to run my business but I haven't failed. Failure is only giving up!
I would love to see a set-by-step video on how to list multiple items such as a sweatshirt, hoodie and tee shirt on one listing. I get confused on the Printify side of publishing all three? Then on the Etsy side I have the one listing with all the different sku? and they will be personalized. So if I publish all three on Printify doesn’t all three show up on Etsy but I want just one listing? Hope someone can answer this question.
Hi Joe great vdieo I'm just learning. Can I ask something that's buggun me. Can print on demand printers actually print everything? Ie illustrative designs - yes I see what about more realistic designs?
Hey Joe. Been checking out your videos on here and I love it so far. I apologize if this isn't the right place to post a question but I have not seen the subject breeched (yet). My question: What are your thoughts on self-hosting your store on a Wordpress/Woocommerce type platform? Yes, I have the technical acumen to actually do that (I can post the URL if you want to see the store). In your opinion is there any good reason to NOT do this? Thanks! Ron
@@RealJoeRobert Also, you just gave away a business idea on the www so someone might steal your idea anyway, even if its not a good idea... so if you want to do it... u better hurry up and name your etsy store etc
Hey guys, pls clarify one thing the pod business is growing means your talking about the sellers right.... If lot of sellers means lot of compitition.... That means it's gonna go down .... Due to supply and demand..... Correct me if I am wrong....
I've come to accept that my store isn't going to be extremely successful, because I just can't sit at my pc and make 1000 "dog mom" "cat dad" or whatever niche items over and over till the end of time. I'd much rather make stuff I care about, even though it'll be much less money. Maybe I'll change my store name to starving artist in training lol.

Yeah, I've been realizing the time and effort needed vs what most of them are leading hungry, motivated, positive thinking viewers to believe.

You’re not alone 🙏🏼 I’m new and feel this way a lot and it’s frustrating sometimes. I’m trying to hang in there and I hope you do too!
Cassiy is so motivating!! Love her videos and encouragement! Hard work pays off🎉
I live life as a trial and error. Lol
Positive attitude, patience and understanding is key. A tree doesn't fully grow in one day.
Great attitude thanks for watching!!
Joe and Cassiy, saved your tutorial to my MAINLY TECH playlist. All my reference tutorials are saved here. Thanks Anthony.
Thank you for watching 🙏
I’ve been watching Cassiy and just recently started watching Joe and just geeked out seeing you two do a video together! Love this so much!
Awesome! Thank you!
My two couch's I follow. Can't go wrong with these two! Great reminders also. Thanks for great video Joe!

Personally, I tend to follow sofas. better results.
How do you get past the catch-22 of No Sales = No Data?
How can you tell what you're doing wrong if there's no input _at all?_

Sorry I’ve not sold on Etsy I don’t see why you couldn’t though since Shopify and Etsy are two different things

You’ll need a Shopify bundling app this isn’t possible natively

What was it the Printify co-founder was emphasizing by mentioning the Gottfried videos?

Would it be a big task to create a store that has "Random" as a niche? The thought is, branding as "The Most Random Shop on Etsy"
Not something I would personally ever try

Print on demand is just how we are fulfilling our items. Creating home decor, accessory, and apparel products will never be saturated

Wow t-shirts with theme parks 😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤔
People need to treat POD like any other job or business not like a hobby
Well said
Is it too late to start now? It seems so saturated and everyone is doing it and can do it. 😢
POD has unlimited options for niches/products it’s not saturated.
Take yourself out of it it seems like people are doing what they like and not what other people like! It’s not about you it’s about them!
One month in, over 4,000 views, and no sales here. My niche is…well, vegan. 🌱 for people who don’t eat other animals 😊
