- This video tutorial shows you the steps to install PlayOnMac, which allows you to run Windows apps or games on macOS Monterey on an Apple Mac computer.

#PlayOnMac is a free platform developed for macOS operating systems. Thanks to this software, you can install and run programs that can run on Windows 10 on your Mac.
PlayOnMac also offers extensive app and game support. You can install the applications that the program supports, or you can install any software using the manual method.
Step 1: To download PlayOnMac software on your #Mac, visit its official site: www.playonmac....
Step 2: If you are using a system after #macOS 10.15 or macOS 11, click the Download button at the top to download the program.
Step 3: After downloading the PlayOnMac.dmg file, double-click on it and drag and drop the file in the opened folder to Applications.
Step 4: After installing PlayOnMac, download Notepad++ 32 Bit, a great Windows software, to your Mac from the link below.

Step 5: Run PlayOnMac and click "Install a program", then click "Install a non-listed program" in the next window.
Step 6: After reading the important information, click Next in the Manual Installation wizard, select "Install a program in a new virtual drive" and click Next again.
Step 7: Type a name for the application's virtual drive.
Step 8: If you want to use another version of the Wine application or configure the current version, you can do so by ticking the relevant options. Continue installing Notepad without selecting these options.
Step 9: If the Notepad program you downloaded to your computer is 32 Bit, select "32 bits windows installation".
Step 10: After the virtual drive is created, click Browse and select the Notepad setup file with the exe extension and install it.
Step 11: After creating a shortcut for Notepad, launch it and check if it works.

Apparently, nothing of this works in MacOS Ventura.
Every time I install it, it says 64 bit programs aren't supported on 32 bit drives. I tried installing both the 32 and 64 bit versions and selecting both 32 and 64 bit drives on playonmac and it still doesn't work.

Hi Roger, I also encountered the same issue with yours. What I did was to install the XQuartz from the internet. Hope it helps.

Anyone know how to make the games windowed instead of full screen?
You just have to select configure in the main playonmac gui, then select the wineprefix with the game in it when the configuration window loads. Then in the configuration window choose the wine tab and select 'configure wine', which will launch the familiar winecfg. In that wine configuration menu, go to the graphics tab and choose 'emulate a virtual desktop' and select the resolution you require and apply the settings.
Very often you can choose a windowed option in the game itself rather than using the wine virtual desktop.
All the menus and windows I refer to in the first paragraph above are shown in the screenshot below, where I show how to configure a virtual desktop for a playonmac application.

Starting 64-bit process Cuphead.exe is not supported in 32-bit virtual drives
it shows up every time I try to open some apps (in this case cuphead)
Youre device is 32bit and cuphead.exe is 64bit
