I saw some ppl have are not able to switch back to the windows once they are in mac by the alt/option key so for that all you have to do is open system preferences go on startup disk click on the lock to allow making changes then click on bootcamp window then click on restart and it's done, please like this so everyone can see it!

This is still working. If you don’t see the option to switch back to mac/windows. Simply power your Mac off. And before you turn on your Mac again hold the option key and it will prompt you chose Mac or windows. Thanks for the video.
Banksyshaw yes. There in a boot camp app on windows in the taskbar that you can click to go back to your Mac. Or when it’s booting, hold option for the boot menu and choose mac
CharmChatelle appleinsider on TH-cam has a video explaining the same thing. And at the end they show you how to switch between macOS and windows. It’s a really good video! Just search appleinsider MacOs to Windows and it should show up!

Also, another way to restart is to Shut Down or Restart your PC, and then long press the Alt/Option key on boot. That is gonna take you to a screen, and you can just use your mouse or keyboard to navigate to whichever OS you want to boot to, and press the Enter key.
I was able to get back to Mac by shutting down the Mac then when turning on hold down the option button at the same time the screen will show you both the Mac and windows tab click on Mac and your good to go!

three years later and this works flawlessly, thanks a million my guy. for anyone who installed but the wifi isn’t working, skip the setup step and continue to the the boot camp as he said. it’ll install all the necessary drivers you need. you can also install another driver for the trackpad as well so it works exactly the same like in macos

When you skip the product key prompt you install a version of Windows that isn’t activated. It’s very limited. For example, you can’t do things as simple as changing the background. The intention is that you immediately activate the product once your able to get online and able to purchase it (using activate windows option on the start menu). It will also nag you nonstop as I recall. ACTUAL Tip: Windows isn’t free. But you can get it for significantly cheaper by grabbing an OEM key.
Microsoft don't really care. Unlicensed Windows 10 will function relativity normally. Microsoft will prompt or watermark it but you can use it as most people do.
Brett F Do not listen to this guy. No offense. Many people use unactivated Windows 10 for years hell I use it too. You can change your wallpaper easily. You can change it to dark mode. All you have to do is search up tutorials for your desires and there is most likely a tutorial.

Hello Guys! I just want to say, to those having the same problem going back to Mac with the Error “Could not locate OS Volume” Try resetting the Mac and holding options and command. If that won’t work, (I did not work for me there.. but check this) Check your Applications on the Windows Platform. There should be a Mac Updater or something like that. Try updating it, because it should Update Bootcamp as well. Then restart the Mac normally, and try to click Bootcamp and then click Restart in Mac OS. It worked for me. I hope this helps a Great Deal!

Carolin Meyer you have to restart and press the ‘alt’ button while it’s restarting. It will give you an option to choose between mac ios and windows, you just choose windows, it will restart and there you go. That’s how you change back to mac ios too. (Hope this was a bit helpful)

Daniel, your video is great and helps a lot but I think you need to mention that people will eventually need to activate Windows 10 after 90 days of free trial and may have to buy the activation key for either Windows 10 Home version or Windows 10 Pro version. You missed that part and giving out the impression that Windows can be downloaded and used for free for ever using boot camp which is not true.
this was really easy to do actually, the hardest part was just clearing space tho haha but i was able to download my games that i couldn’t play on just mac :))

It works perfectly to me, at some point I could not go back to Mac, but if you turn off the Mac hold option key and the you will see the two options and back to Mac OS
I did, actually, guess my profile pic gave that away... anyway yeah it worked great! Mac OS has some very strange bugs with dolphin. This tutorial worked out all right for me. I’ve heard you may have to run a stable version if the unstable versions don’t launch, but that hasn’t happened to me.

So i was able to download windows on my macbook air, but once im on Boot camp assistant once i press continue its saying that "no USB drive" i have plenty of memory so not sure what to do ? do i need to use a USB drive?

Ended up skipping this step and the install completed a limited install. Then afterwards Windows could see the WiFi Networks - so I connected up and seems good to go.

I have an iMac and it gets to the end of the install then says Bootcamp needs permission to add a helper tool, i enter my password and the it says it failed and un-does all of the partions it already did

Mac is just overall better in terms of quality but windows has more freedom and you can play games which is the only reason I’m switching

It works perfectly to me, at some point I could not go back to Mac, but if you turn off the Mac hold option key and the you will see the two options and back to Mac OS

Mac OS has some very strange bugs with dolphin. This tutorial worked out all right for me. I’ve heard you may have to run a stable version if the unstable versions don’t launch, but that hasn’t happened to me.

So i was able to download windows on my macbook air, but once im on Boot camp assistant once i press continue its saying that "no USB drive" i have plenty of memory so not sure what to do ? do i need to use a USB drive?
Could you technically download it to a hard drive and run it from there as long as its connected? Or would I just need to allocate memory to hard drive

Once I installed window on Mac it doesn’t give me the option to install the drivers of windows
Then the 2nd way is by opening system preferences go on startup disk click on the lock to allow making changes then click on bootcamp window then click on restart and it's done
im on the latest mac os and it's 64 bit but when i go and press continue it gives me a drop down menu showing boxes that says i need a usb

Ended up skipping this step and the install completed a limited install. Then afterwards Windows could see the WiFi Networks - so I connected up and seems good to go.
Tad mine did not show the internet options, I skipped as you say but ☹️

Hi. I have a question. Did everything as you described. But when it was downloading the windows in bootcamp assistant it said bootcamp installation failed. Any reason for this?
I have an iMac and it gets to the end of the install then says Bootcamp needs permission to add a helper tool, i enter my password and the it says it failed and un-does all of the partions it already did
