i live 10 miles from bradford used to work in bradford and never knew that when go back on a regular basis as a driver i also notice a lot of disused railways i am forever looking for them thanks rebecca
Another great video just proves we need regulations and standards. Lest we forget in in this current climate of debunking big government. The Nanny state is there to protect us all.
Can't believe I'm first. Nice, Rebecca! Greets from Flanders. PS: I'm a cat-lover too. The only other animal I keep is a . . . But no, the ladies are usually afraid of this one, so I'm not telling. ;-)
@@hubertvancalenbergh9022 darn thought you were going to say a snake! Live a snake. We used to have one and probably going to get another. 👍 afraid you are right, I dont do spiders...😂
hey rebecca , a cool and very interesting video , never knew about this , love an humbug lol , omg that cat lol , just like mine , loves to be on my lap lol , :)
I've only just seen this because I forgot to click the little bell, its most alarming to find out what was and sometimes still is used in the manufacture of foodstuffs. With regard to the snoozing cat hindrance perhaps a remote control for the camera.
Another very interesting video, both with a tale well told, and then a tail (attached to a contented moggy). That story is an astonishing occurrence, and it's a wonder more people didn't die.
Zoomer cat felt the best place to be was directly in the line of sight of what ever you were reading or looking at... and not eating humbugs anytime soon.
Hi Rebecca. Try doing a bit of research into what the Victorians used to put in their foods to bulk them up or preserve them. For instance, putting Borax into milk that was going off would sweeten it up again and as for plaster of Paris, that went into everything. Love your video's with Paul so subbed to your channel. X
Talking of poisonous effects, do read (if you haven't already) Striking a Light by Louise Raw...the story of the Match Girls and their strike for non-poisonous working/eating conditions (as well as better wages)...They (and not the dockers) were the real start of the modern union movement...and it was organised not by Mrs Besant...but by a small committee of themselves...largely teens and twenty-odds!) - That's a cracking story and might make a good episode! Glad to see I'm not the only one in a cat-possessed house!
This is a bit more modern and you may have done it before - but do the 1964 Aberdeen Typhoid outbreak. It's very much the "For want of a Nail" style disaster.
How about every now and then you do a vid on your exploits of the stations you visit on say how the stations closure affected the locals, a bit of info about the line etc. etc. Interesting story about Humbug Billy by the way.. :-)
Fantastic story loving the new channel. Reminded me of a tail about a Doctor who murdered his family on Lancaster. We used to drive past his house on our way home if you get the chance have a look at Buck Ruxton (born Bukhtyar Chompa Rustomji Ratanji Hakim; may be a video
You've got me wondering what "daff" would taste like. Did it just bulk up the product or did it actually taste sweet? I think I'll avoid actually trying a taste test - although I do remember from my school chemistry classes making 'acid drop' ester which we weren't supposed to actually taste.
You have put me off buying any more Humbugs Rebecca, and I do really like them. I think I will go back to eating Nuttalls Mintoes, but they are no good if you have false teeth, as they are impossible to chew. Geoff
@@youreds91 I don't think the mintoes I buy are actually Nuttals, which I get in £1 bags from a shop in my town called Yum Yums, but they taste the same and still get stuck in your teeth. Maybe Nuttals doesn't exist any more.
OMG, I love it when you show us your kitty at the end. x

Another great story! I've never been ill from eating sweets but maybe I should think twice before drinking a Corona Beer tonight!!
Lovely cat

Totally! 😂

Please tell me where you can still buy Nuttals Mintoes?? Has to be Nuttals, not some generic brand though.
