Time to make a part 2. You forgot to show us the rudder-twist, forgot to mention that the Winwing joystick vibrates and didn't show us if MSFS2020 detects the joystick.
Or you could just be grateful that he spent his time and money to give us a review on the product.
Yeah, because a major flght sim company like WinWing is gonna release a joystick wich isn't ''detected'' in MSFS2020.......
@@nemon9857 dude made a good point tho
Real Airbus sidestick is very dampened back to netural. It doesn't "snap" like the Thrustmaster.
Great in depth review XP72. the Winwing flight stick mechanics is some what similar to the VKB inside the workings. i do feel the VKB looks more sturdy, robust & heavier design and it comes with different tension springs, spare parts and tools. The VKB you just change out the stick as its separates from the base, i do think this Winwing stick is removable, its got the similar 3 screws underneath.
I fly the A320 irl and the stick is very dampened. Tough to say which one has the more realistic travel, since I've never taken a tape measure to work and measured the travel. I would have to get the WW in hand to make a good comparison between it and the irl A320 stick. Right now, I am using a Virpil WarBird gimbal with an A320 grip (I don't remember who makes the grip, but it's very realistic) and the tension is good with the springs I have installed. I also have the TM Airbus stick, and I found it to be just ok, but for someone who is accustomed to the real thing, completely unacceptable.
Great to know. Thanks
@NegdoshaManido Curious what cam and spring setup your using? I have a Virpil WarBRD too and I'm trying to make it as realistic as possible. Thanks
@Pixel_Fish I’m using the default that came in the box. I haven’t started to tinker with it yet.
@@Pixel_Fish I have not changed out the springs or cams from what it shipped with. If anything, I might like some more tension on the springs, but I'm pretty happy with how it feels as is.
i can’t thank you enough for the clarity you bring to your topics! ☀️
Just received Winwing Ursa Minor, and it feels miles ahead of TCA, the damping is adjustable. I adjust the damping to max, and oh boy it’s feel so fucking good❤
How long does it take to receive? I just bought it and I'm already looking forward to it
What are its dimensions?
@@vrotate8324 I live in Taiwan, so I bought it from Taobao China, which is where Winwing from. It took about 7 days to get it on my hands.
@@vagp8055 dimensions in what? Its size is perfect and not that heavy IMO.
Thanks to you I preordered mine!
To me, the WinWing Joystick feels sturdier and has a better overall feel. My Thrustmaster joystick is made of plastic that feels cheap, whereas the plastic used in the WinWing joystick appears to be of higher quality and doesn't feel cheap. Overall, it's a great product and a great review!
The real airbus side stick is super damp and heavier compared to the thrustmaster one
there is a guy that mad it (2800rmb) really good
I have the winwing FCU. Overall a great product but winwing really needs to make their products plug n play without the need to download third party software. Huge difference IMO
Can you twist it for tiller?
@tf6shawnn yes
😮😮 that means preorders should be coming soon!! Love it xp ty for the review
the winwing obviously has a surprisingly good dampening ... but there is also one more pro to mention for the thrustmaster: the twist axis. some might use it for rudders if no pedals available, but if you have pedals, the twist grip comes in super handy as a tiller axis.
Do we know the price? i use the basic Thrustmaster yoke and quad. Ive been looking for an upgrade for a few years. I bought the Thrustmaster captains pack last year and the side stick did not work with Xplane 11.
That is normal to feel the Thrustmaster bouncing more (spring effect) since the travel is longer. For the test you did, you should move less the TCA axes.
Anyway, good comparison.
What about the sensors? Does the Winwing come with Hall Effect sensors?
From another video yes they are.
@@Fus-1111 thanks for the info!
Thanks for the review, now I don't know what one I'm going to get LOL
lol.
Thanks for sharing your unboxing.
Missile launch or Push to talk, the winwing wins on ergonomic. Under the cap You have a trim control for helicopter, i have it on search and rescue to slide left or right.
My space stick and flight stick are on preorder... just waiting
Great review XP! Looking forward to the Boeing mcp and mcdu
Yes sir
Have you ever considered making a mini home cockpit like the Airbus cockpit winwing had on display at the expo? It seems like it would be super fun and with winwing being super cheap, it would actually be affordable lol
I like that idea.
The removable springs are for helicopter flying.
I'd go for the TM for versatility. Can use it for helicopter and space sim, therefore better value even if it feels cheap
Yeah no twist action, this is important for me, because the thrustmaster side stick has issues with this over time, both of mine had the same issue, which I managed to fix very easy.
Does it have the twist axis for tiller?
Yes it does, have a twist axis for tiller. I forgot to mention that.
Any chance you could confirm that the Winwing stick could be mounted on a TCA Flying Clamp?
This is only the surface of a comparison. How do the sticks "behave" in the simulator? How does it "feel" while using it in an Airbus but also for example in a helicopter? Please a part 2 ;-) ;-)
I’d think you’d have to calibrate it for each aircraft like I do with every stick I have. Dunno 🤷
What are its dimensions Winwing Airline Joystick?
very rough review, winwing hands down 10 times better than TM TCA, no issue with the rudder axis being TM design flaw, that dampening centering is the key game changer for better controls and feel when adding very subtle control inputs is needed
In terms of resistance and feel, I say the TCA Sidestick has and edge over the Winwing,
the real airbus sidestick has lots of travel and is very damp. If thrust master makes theirs as dampened as the winwing or even more, I would pick the thrust master over winwing. I mean right now i would still pick thrustmaster over winwing because I like having the travel.
Doesn't seem like it's night and day difference or a reason enough to toss my thrustmaster to the side, especially when I may only hand fly the Airbus for all of 10 minutes, if that. Thanks for the video anyhow.
Keep doing what you're doing
do you live in the usa because when i was on the website it does not deliver to the usa
In all the reviews they never peel off the pads they just mention it try but no complete.
5:56 Ahahah... they blatantly completely copied the gimbal from the Gladiator NXT without any changes, lol
I got the Thrustmaster sidestick already, not that satisfied with it. Do you think this would be worth the "upgrade".
A question first. What were you lot satisfied with on the Thrustmaster?
@@XP72official The stick twist for example has stick drift, so the inputs aren't right anymore or it gives inputs on its own. Secondly, the build quality feels genuinely cheap and lightweight.
Great review
Love it XP!
Updated apps to support vibration motors in MSFS.
Does it work well with MSFS?
If it does, does it vibrate when running down the runway during takeoff and landing?
Or is it just a brief vibration on landing touchdown and that's it?
Looks good but what about a throttle quadrant?
That would be good from them as well.
@@XP72official fingers crossed! 🙏🏼
Btw…the removable panel on the bottom of the joystick reveals the adjustable dry clutch damper 🙂
@Cookie2k thanks. That damper feels good.
the real sidestick has less travel and more dampening
Have the Thrustmaster Airbus system but because of the throttle unit cheapness there is no resistance in the throttle and is deemed useless worst thrustmaster product I bought. Joystick and Spoiler / flaps is fine but the throttle sticks are a joke
I’m surprised that Thrustmaster hasn’t put a patent on their product
kinda hard when they are just replicas of the airbus side stick. nothing to really copyright
They probably have but Winwing cared about it as much as for the VKB Gladiator gimbal which they copied. lol
Which patent? An Airbus themed PC joystick? lmfao
Thrustmasters product is licensed by airbus. No idea why it’s taken us this long to get low price haptics in a side stick when we’ve had it in game controllers for years
Will these work with xbox?
Nope
I don’t think so.
Too bad.
