    Nice! I've just installed it on my klx250s.

    yes this looks like a good one i got a 2019 E model and its too loud with stock exhaust and sounds crap so i bought a delkevic to make it sound better and ended up taking back off because its even louder so Lexx is the way to go

    • @MotoJournoKris
      @MotoJournoKris  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely a fair bit quieter than the stock exhaust if it came without the baffle!

    What jets are you running with that exhaust?

    I have a 04 DRZ400E and I want to put a speedo on it, which one do you have mounted on yours? Will be getting this exhaust next too thanks for the vid

      I actually bought the speedo on sale as it had a scratch but here's what I ordered:
      Acewell Digital Sports/Track Bike Speedometer with Analogue Tacho to 9000rpm
      Plus:
      Acewell S6 Speedo Cable for Kawasaki KDX KLX, Suzuki DRZ RMX GSF

    Where’s the video with mouth the baffle with the 46mm race tip?

      That's just how I got this one, but I was more focused on it not being too loud for the road so didn't explore anything like that!

    I have an Australian E model as well...my understanding is that the E header is larger diameter than S/SM, especially US S models. Did it come with adaptors to fit the narrower S models? S3 Performance is out of stock so I’m looking at getting one that’s on sale in the US

    • @MotoJournoKris
      @MotoJournoKris  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This one didn't have an adapter, but you could try contacting anyone stocking with them to see if they've got them to suit the S or SM models. It looks like that may be a slightly different version, but I'm not sure if that's a matter of throwing in an adapter, or a different slip-on.

      Moto Journo Kris ...I ended up paying $100 more for the Barrett because S3 still didn’t have it in stock when I needed it. I’m really happy with it , especially the deep sound which isn’t noisy, and think it’s much better internally because the straight through pipe is perforated tube with the inner wrap being stainless steel and the outer packing being fibreglass. This means it will probably never need repacking, whereas Lexx need repacking after 30-40 hours of heavy use. From the 2 repacking vids I’ve seen on TH-cam, the Lexx internals are not of great quality, and the tube isn’t perforated. Hope it goes longer that it did for the other guys, it’s a good concept

    • @MotoJournoKris
      @MotoJournoKris  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ronanrogers4127 I'll be interested to see whether the packing goes and needs replacing as the noise levels is a big consideration. I hadn't seen the Barrett till you mentioned it, and it does look like a good value option!

    599 from S3 plus postage. Price def. shot up in 11 months

    • @MotoJournoKris
      @MotoJournoKris  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yikes, those prices have jumped up. It looks like it's getting very hard to get stock these days, which probably isn't helping the situation. Hopefully things will settle down and we'll see more stuff on special as supply goes back to normal... whenever that happens!

    • @doctorhelicopter
      @doctorhelicopter 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MotoJournoKris Would you pay 599 if you had to?

    • @MotoJournoKris
      @MotoJournoKris  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@doctorhelicopter That is a difficult question, because I was looking at something like an FMF for around $600, and was finding it hard to justify the price at the time (as a second bike which might need money spent elsewhere), so I went the Lexx as it was great value.
      It's certainly done the job in every regard, and I've got no complaints, but I think in that $350-450 region is what I'd honestly be willing to pay again today. But I'm undeniably cheap and up at that 600 range I'd have to seriously consider the FMF options if they are still around that price, as that's what everyone was recommending. Had I not bought one at almost half the price it might be a different story, but it's hard to get past that.

    • @doctorhelicopter
      @doctorhelicopter 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Lexx is quiet, looks like it would flow well even with carbon build up

    • @MotoJournoKris
      @MotoJournoKris  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@doctorhelicopter Hopefully I'll get a chance to see how it handles doing more kms as far as any build up and the exhaust packing if the DRZ stays reliable now that it is running again. I thought I saw an even quieter tip available the other day, but it seems good as it is, as I'm not heading to work at midnight or anything like that.

      @MotoJournoKris  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea I saw that. I guess with there being such shortages with bike related stuff, businesses have upped the price, or the manufacturer may have done it to them. It's a good exhaust but I bought it because it was half the price of anything else!

      @ridewithwarro 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MotoJournoKris you got a very good deal. if it was still around the $400 mark i would have bought it.
      might look now at i think the B&B tip insert. they claim a 2 hp gain and a quieter better sounding bike for roughly a $175 outlay
      all the best

    • @MotoJournoKris
      @MotoJournoKris  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ridewithwarro Tell me about it. That was the main reason I bought it over the B&B insert, I figured the extra for the whole muffler was worth it, where I kind of thought the insert was a little pricey (although to be fair I paid similar to have some custom inserts made for M4s on my FZ6 years ago). I think $400 I'd still be happy, but it would make the B&B insert a lot more attractive.
