I have a different problem on my screen..I had the same Pioneer p4900 like yours, but this problem of mine is different.. After I got my battery died on me, I had to get someone to give me a jump start my car and after I got it started.. I had to replace the old battery into a new one.. but then the SCREEN this time went ALL BLACK.. I cant barely see anything on the screen. but the touch style and all other bottons of the deck still works, and lights up.. and music still plays as normal.. the problem is the screen is just plain BLACK.. I did try pressing the RESET pin.
I calibrated mine, now its working properly. Thanks for the author of the video! On a side note, does somebody know if this unit can play mp3 files from a dvd-r disc ? cant find any info about the subject.
hey i have a question i have the same dvd like yours you know my problem is everytime i put dvd to watch movie the word error 2 always show up in my screen i dont know if this happen to you already im just worried because i just got it recently.so if you know something on this that will be great thanks men
i got the 5700 and my whole left side now is off like your bottom-left. after the reset it reset all my eq options, and since my left side is messed up I cant adjust anything cause I cant hit the buttons over there lol. I got mine in 2006 so I think I need to just chalk it up as a loss unless anybody knows how to fix it. I thought about sending it in but the new 2013 models look awesome.

I have one that I found in the garage the other day it turns on but the screen won't eject .it trys to open but it sounds like it locks so what can I do all mighty master .lol
Dude i have this radio and i lost my faceplate but he worked for more 2 month's dont even know how because i thought withouth faceplate he was dead.. today he stoped to work, and he have a redlight signal now... u know what it means ? and tell me if ur work with no faceplate. Thanks !

Mine keeps saying n g after every time I try step 1. Any help? It like wont register and further than 215 instead of 245 or whatever. Help!

Most Likely You Might Have a Dirty Laser/Reader. You Can Take It Apart to Clean The Insides.

You can power on the unit, hit the screen retract button, manually(force) the screen to open.

If Your Push Button Are Not Working, You Have An Internal Problem. May Have To Take The Head Unit Apart.
