A tip for site seeing in the Colonia region while getting paid. Buy an Orca and put your DBX FSD in it. Fit a couple of luxury passenger cabins plus some lower classes. Fuel scoop not needed. Go to the station in the Diggidiggi system. Take passenger missions to Habitat 001, 002, 003, 004. Visit those notable stellar phenomena with other life forms in it and get paid fairly well back in Diggidiggi. The Orca is a charismatic ship perfect for this area.
o7 Saw your first video of that trip two days ago, got excited and prepared all the engineers and my mats. Now I'm 5 jumps away from Colonia. My trusty ASP has served me well again, good to be there with her again. Thanks for the inspiration CMDR and fly safe
@Foxyloxy.X thanks, even tho it will be a short one. just like you I'll be done rather quickly. Engis done, now for some sightseeing and back to bubble
Some of those space beings react to your ship's headlights. There is a lot to do here, since almost all the factions are player minor factions, and there are some enjoyable missions and sites. Also, it is lucrative to take VIP visitors to/from Jaques Station beacons and the experimental space biology clouds.
Don't miss out on visiting the World of Death just 500ly outside Colonia. Riding the World of Death through the neutron star jet cone is one of the coolest things to see in the entire galaxy.
What happens if you're out on the surface on foot, or in an SRV? If your side of the planet is facing away from the neutron star, can you survive the jet?
@@frankshailes3205 You are safe in your SRV so long as it does not run out of fuel. You must dismiss your ship to protect it. You have to carefully time landing on the planet and dismissing your ship, and recalling it at the right time later. Keep your ship out of the jet cone. You are not safe in your landed ship - blows up. I'm guessing being out on foot in the jet cone is lethal. Not been to the World of Death since getting Odyssey and wouldn't risk it personally. Also, I don't think being on the side of the planet facing away from the jet cone helps, as the planet is swallowed by it. It is also tricky picking a landing spot considering the fast orbit and fast spin of the planet. My last visit: th-cam.com/video/8FQAGcQpFKo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=2fnROo7UVpzFcOq-
Well I'm one step closer to being ready for Colonia, I ripped the bandaid off yesterday and sucked up the grind for Guardian FSD Boosters, probably going to at least get the shield reinforcements if not also the hull/module reinforcements later. I'm probably still bringing my carrier along for the Colonia journey whenever that happens. NSPs are always good fun, but what the hell is up with those giant Molluscs? Every mollusc I've encountered so far as been TINY, those things are gigantic! Half the time I have to scour the entire NSP just to find those microscopic things, doesn't seem like you had that issue here. Funny that you say shooting isn't the correct way to study them, because it kind of is. They exhibit different "traits" you can document based on how you interact with them. It depends on the species.
@@frankshailes3205 Correct. I didn't really elaborate on the different methods but that is one of them. Personally I don't bother documenting their traits, the base codex scan is good enough for me. I still can't get over the size of those things. Every mollusc I've encountered has been maybe the size of a nav beacon if not much smaller. Like, smaller than the cockpit of a DBX or AspX. These guys look like they're the size of either one of those ships compared to the Conda.
Is it worth taking research limpets to these sites? Or are those just for 'Goid stuff? Cool video as always, looking forward to taking a trip out myself someday, maybe after the current Bug War is over!
Just got to Colonia for the first time. The stars are beautiful. To any and all cmdrs have have yet to do so make the trip its worth it 😊
I like your optimistic approach and positive attitude. It's fun to watch
What amazing wonderful sights to behold, truly amazing foxy! This is the space sim that keeps on giving 🖖🏼 can’t wait to see more adventures o7
It's worth taking a trip to Sag A* from here if you've not before, as the stars get denser and denser towards the centre.
Once I make my way out there to do engineering I'm there to stay. So pretty out there

Some react to your ship's lights being flashed onto them, too.
