Agreed, even tho it lacks quite a bit of convenience / polish at times. Little things, like portals in SR spawning at a predetermined position instead of just appearing next to you. The movement, which can be quite clunky at times. Or the lack of a combat log to figure out which kind of damage just nuked your normally unkillable character to death. And some larger, more annoying but definitely subjective things, like the amount of time it takes to level an alt. For me at least the latter is what always gets me to quit eventually. The game offers so much loot, so many nice build ideas just pop up.. but the thought of going through all of the campaign, or just leveling in general, again .. and again.. and again.. is daunting and frustrating. Especially considering half the build ideas may not work out at all. But i believe for others leveling 'is the game', and while i cant understand that i guess it's fine if the devs want it that way too. I just wish there was a way to powerlevel yourself a new alt with an existing one. Then the people who want a new maxed char (plus one ult campaign clear maybe) can do so in like 2 hours, while the people who want to could just level normally. Anyways, it's just a little rant after finishing another character to 94 recently and having beedn shortly before quitting, again xD
@@Yamyatos I agree, they used the Titan Quest l engine and it doesn't seem to be the best technically. I hope grim dawn 2 will see the light of the day. It would easily compete with D4.
Patch 1.1.5 is now out. This video still holds true. However, you can now unlock Deathstones (at Shard 80) which are waystones that allow you to unlock Shard Tiers 80+ but with loot disabled. This is meant for challenge and not loot farming. Cheers. There is also 73 different environments one can encounter here. I was wayyyy off.

Great video! I've just finished entire game on ultimate and going to jump into farming after a break. Can all legendaries drop in SR? or would i still have to farm specific sets from the Rogue Like dungeons
Noob question, if I run out of time and further kills doesn't add more loot then why bother going to the next shard? Is it just to kill more monsters and get XP?

You need to successfully complete the lowest shard of any given waystone before its blueprint will drop in the Shattered Realm loot room. Example: The Haunted Waystone opens SR 35, 40 or 45 shards so you'd need to complete up to at least SR 35 before this waystone blueprint will drop. Also, to open all subsequent shard levels of a waystone requires you to complete up to that point. So say you completed up to SR 35 and unlocked the Haunted Waystone, you'll now need to complete up to SR 40 for the Haunted Waystone to open up to that shard. And so forth.
We need to spread the word around about Grim Dawn. It's one of the best hack and slay games out there. It's sad it doesn't have much attention.

Nah you don't get XP. If you're in it for loot you should traverse two shards that are comfortable and doable within time to get max chests.

What shard are you on? You might need to go higher. But make sure you clear two total shards for max loot.
